  • Here's 10 simple, beginner friendly, pretty pole dance moves. I've also sprinkled in some tips to help you learn each move.
    You might find this video helpful if you are looking to learn more simple spins or need some ideas for moves to add to your pole dance choreography.
    These moves rely on hand grip so I recommend using dry hands or cleaning the pole regularly as you may slip a lot like I did :D

    Pole dancing is super fun but there are also risks involved you should be aware of before starting. These videos are advice only and are not intended to replace in-person professional classes. Please warm up before engaging in pole dancing to prevent injury! I am not a professional pole dance teacher. I recommend attending in-person classes before trying any moves on your own, especially when learning upside down tricks where a spotter is essential! If you have a pole at home, please make sure it is set up properly and is from a reputable supplier. There is always an element of risk when pole dancing and by following these videos you may be placing yourself at risk of injury. Please be careful and only do moves within your skill level.
    Happy pole dancing :)

I was big on progressing too but then I realised I wasn’t enjoying it as much as I did when I first started. Pole is a real slow game and it took me a while to realise it. ive just started pole dancing the last few months and i wanted to let other begginners know that there is a huge difference between pole dancing with a static pole and pole dancing with a spinning pole. the manuvers, tricks, moves and everything is completely different depending on if your pole spins or is not spinning. this js something my teachers never mentioned, and i found to be confusing when looking up new moves online. i recommend starting off on one or the other, and not trying to learn both static and spinning at the same time. otherwise it will be a lot more difficcult to learn how to move. i have a static pole (it does not spin) and this channel has a spinning pole. do not confuse the two. learn one first and then try the other. make sure your istructer is using the same pole as you.

      Thanks for making that critical distinction, I started pole a few months ago, having a strong hoop background. Since I was accustomed to a secure hand grip, I struggled with static spins not knowing to release slowly to make the rotations--my wrists ached constantly. Conversely, I loved spinning pole and it helped me understand the body awareness and strength recruitment to learn static spins.

      @@wintermatherne2524 Don't want to, plus I am a man. Just don't see the wifely appeal to a woman doing this, but then again, I am not married to a stripper or woman imitating one under the guise of exercise? I would rather my woman do traditional cardio, yoga, light weight lifting, etc...I love her body, and her confidence. To each their own, I was pointing out my shock that women (not all, obviously) are proud of having stripper talent. When I was single, I had no respect for strippers just saw them as not wife material and went because that was what we did. Did not want it in my home...but, I'm just a guy. You can be and dance sexy, if you want, but why like a stripper? My wife has my last name, car, doesn't have to work if she doesn't want to (she does), access to my bank account, but all from being a lady. That is why I married her or even looked at any woman when I was ready to (it is rare). Hmm.

      @@prettyandsick 100% 🙌🏼 it’s a real struggle. My skin is still soooo not grippy as when I started but because my nerves are less sensitive and I think my back leg gripping muscles have gotten stronger, it is much easier now. Hang in there 😉

    Pretty poses. I'm gonna give them a try especially the chair tip, cause I can't get that move to save my life. Or maybe I should just stop working on static.

    • @PoletatoJemPoleDancer
      @PoletatoJemPoleDancer  3 роки тому +2

      Thank you! It's all very subjective but glad you agree! All the best with trying the move, let me know how it goes! hahha, I wish I could help you more with static but where I live, it's a rare species 😂
      oh yes and another thing, spinning pole can definitely help holding some poses because the spin action takes a bit of the weight off your body so you may like it more! (just sciency stuff 🤓).

      Welcome to pole!
      There are many different levels within 'beginner' level itself. I'd say these moves were taught to me a bit more into beginner level classes. But it's hard because beginner moves is defined differently for everyone and you can only really go off what you feel comfortable with!
      You could try the more early beginner level moves which don't need you to lift your body weight like in my latest video ua-cam.com/video/bJjtX7ATy3Y/v-deo.html :)
      Are you taking classes at the moment?
