As a Mustang owner since 1987, I'd be interested in a 4 door Mustang BASED performance sedan. I couldn't get a Marauder when they were new, and I considered a G8 GT in 2009 and a Chevy SS when I bought my current 16 GT, but I wanted a manual and those were hard to find.

Why is there so much hype about upcoming $25k EVs when the Chevy Bolt exists? I feel like the Chevy Bolt is the perfect proof that Americans will not buy cheap cars anymore. It had perfectly adequate power, range and storage for an incredibly competitive price but it didn't sell like hotcakes.
@imnotusingmyrealname4566 Chevy Bolt was placed on hiatus until 2025. After they solved the issues, it did sell well. So that may just happen again, assuming that they can launch without issues.
It did sell pretty well in its last year or two of life, once the problems were solved and the price came down. The next-gen Bolt, like the Equinox EV, will sell well.

Yup. 30% globally would be China alone! That statement was nonsense. The only reason Toyota is so against BEVs is because they want to protect their Japanese suppliers for ICE parts.
What ever happened to basic transportation, the complexity and cost with batteries EV hybrid, majority people are happy with normal economy engines with efficient automatics, Toyota is no longer a value leader they DO have issues with this technology and does not justify a higher price tag. Ford ditched the sedans, bringing another mustang version not too many people are crazy for that since the SUV MACH e version isn’t that great either. The overall manufacturers are overpriced and getting more gimmicky with the best technology features that are not working so great, it’s so hard for consumers to get deals from dealerships it shouldn’t be a headache process, inflation and market is messed up but a break is needed or else more manufacturers will be out of business
What I understand that from a guy who I know is self cars to department of Homeland security tell me that they sell them four-door mustangs and they're not the the electric mach e call Matt this is not me this is a guy that works for a company that sells cars to Homeland security whether that's true or not I don't know I pressed them on whether it was the electric mustang and he said no it wasn't what is a four-door mustang and he sent me the pictures and it looks like exactly what they've been showing for the last few years

From my experience in car sales, people buy cars based off looks more than any other metric.
It did sell pretty well in its last year or two of life, once the problems were solved and the price came down. The next-gen Bolt, like the Equinox EV, will sell well.
That was a different time. The market has priced out the bottom group, and expensive cars are selling in reduced numbers. The void is low, so fill it.
That 4 door mustang would probably be 200 inches long I’m guessing, basically a full size sedan
