The first time my friend and I watched 'Moana' when grandma Tala comes back as a ghost and says, "looks like I chose the right tattoo," I whispered to my friend, "looks like I'm coming back as a penguin," because my first tattoo was of a penguin. And my friend looked down at their first tattoo, which is a pencil, and cursed
Ever since I saw the movie, in the theatre, It was my personal head canon that the Grandma was chosen as a child as well, but she decided to stay on the island and follow tradition. Something she regretted later on, and saw her son turn away as well. This was why she recognized the heart and worked so hard to prepare Moana for when she would have to make the same decision. She never tried to make the decision for her, or even influence her, any more than her Father did. She just ensured that Moana knew she had a choice. And that was why the Ocean helped her to return, immediately, as a Manta Ray as Moana's spirit guide. She was a friend of the ocean. I hadn't thought about the heart keeping her alive, but that makes sense, as well.
Fun Fact for those who don't know, the turtle scene is also a nod to Lilo and Stitch. You just have to get to the credits and you'll see a picture of Stitch helping out a baby sea turtle in the same way Moana did.
and its said that the turtle is flip from finding nemo. at Disney world there's a finding nemo ride where you can ask flip any question. someone asked if he was the baby from moana, and he said: "i dont really like conspiracy theories, but totally."
My theory is that Moana's family are descendants of Te Fiti herself. She comes from a long line of Chiefs, and everyone from her dad's family side was drawn to the ocean (gramma Tala, Tui, and Moana). The ocean has been trying to get the heart back to Te Fiti since it was first stolen, revealing the heart to every generation of Moana's ancestors.

A theory I noticed was that Maui is the reason for the golden flower from Tangled. In tangled they say that the flower came from a drop of the sun. In the song “You’re Welcome”, Maui says he lassoed the sun. It’s possible that by lassoing the sun, sun drops fell to earth.

@@XYpsilonLP I know tangled is based on Rapunzel. However, the only similar thing about them is that she has long hair and is trapped in a tower by a witch. Literally nothing else is like in Rapunzel other than that. So tangled only exists since the movie, while moana being based off of real mythology which is btw, also older than Rapunzel
An extension of the "keeping Tala alive" one: the heart kept Moana alive throughout the many incidents that should have killed her (e.g., jumping into the realm of monsters and bouncing off the rocks a whole bunch of times)
My theory is that Moana father is not actually her real dad but instead her real father, who was also the chosen one, is the one who died in the boating accident and then because they were holding the heart their consciousness became part of the ocean. This theory also explains why Moans is becoming the new chief at such an early age, because the real chief drowned. Her fathers friend then raised her as his own daughter and they kept it all a secret from her and that is why he is so frightened of her going near the water, because he doesn't want her to suffer the same fate as her father.
I would like to ask then: if Moana is both not the only chosen one and also the heart of Te Fiti, if her dad had chosen to go to restore the heart of Te Fiti, would Te Fiti have looked like him?

I don't know if Te Fiti and Moana are supposed to be the same, just look close enough to be clearly related in some way. So Te Fiti is more of a great, great... grandmonther rather than Moana in another form.
Moana probably wouldn’t have passed the test if the ocean killed her best friend. Maybe the ocean realized that maybe that was too far for a test and dumbed it down for her.
To be fair, I don't think the ocean actively killed the guy, the test was the strong currents and the boat sinking, what came after was up to them. With Moana's father his friend didn't make it, and with Moana she almost died herself by getting stuck, but she kept calm and made it. Maybe testing the ability to survive in the ocean was part of the test, and unfortunately Moana's dad was with a friend who failed, while Moana only had the pig with her, and pigs have no problem swimming.
@@zechariahdavid5199 If the ocean stepped in to help them then Tui wouldn’t learn the lesson he needed to learn if he was to be chosen and travel across the sea. Before going away they needed to know how incredibly dangerous and hard it would be. The purpose was to teach them to not give up and keep fighting, even without the help of friends or the ocean. It is entirely possible that Tui failed as soon as he decided to bring his friend along with him and the ocean had to teach him that it wasn’t a fun little adventure with your buddy but a difficult and sometimes brutal mission. The ocean didn’t directly kill the friend but it created the situation that led to his death, and it _couldn’t_ save him because that would ruin the whole purpose of the test.

@@sunshineonawinterday Yes that could be as the dad acts strange when Moana has the heart like he knows what is is which makes him want her to stay away from the ocean more than before
the last theory is a bit of a stretch since Tangled tells us the flower came from a sun drop. The tangled series also added to this by revealing there was also a moon drop that causes nothing but destruction to balance out the sun

I love the first theory though it does make me wonder why Moana couldn't have just grabbed the shell and then run to the turtle, like she had time to contemplate it she could've chosen both
I'm pretty sure it was confirmed by the creators of Moana that her and Te Fiti looking so similar was just coincidence. The animators just couldn't come up with a very different Hawaiian-looking face.
Your tangled theory was disapproved in tangled:the series. We learn that Repunzle’s power comes from the sun drop, which has a partner, the moonstone. The flower grew from the sun drop, but it was never the source.
This is really fitting. I love the theories and answers you find for it. You can compare a lot of it to Encanto and the families candle, and similar vibe to how Mirabel and Moana are the hearts of the magic that drive the story.
A similar thing could be said about Namaari, because, even though she is the antagonist, she is the one who rebuilds the land. The story of Raya constantly interprets Raya as being the one who saved her land, but she chooses to petrify herself to give the position over to Namaari, and it’s worth mentioning that it wasn’t Namaari's choice to be given the task, but rather Raya's choice, but I think the gem was meant to be repaired by the one who had been involved in the gem breaking, meaning Namaari was the one who could repair everything. The reason Raya and the others gave the gem pieces was because they had the epiphany that if Namaari was the one who restored everything to normal, it would allow her to be seen as trustworthy again. Namaari planned the betrayal during her first meeting with Raya because she was intending on bringing Sisu's siblings back. Her part of the land (Fang) holds respect towards the petrified dragons by visiting their sanctuary whenever they can, which foreshadows the fact that she contributed to the gem breaking so that, when the time was right, she could obtain each piece of the gem to rebuild it, and this is supported by the fact that Raya took a hands off approach and chose to let Namaari rebuild everything and bring back Sisu's siblings. Her expression of devastation over Sisu’s demise was because she was having second thoughts about it, but eventually chose to do that because it was the next step to bringing the siblings and other dragons back, as it was a restart of everything, the water was drained since it would be a clean slate for her and Raya's land back to when dragons and regular inhabitants were coexisting with each other.

Personally, I think Te Fiti looks more like Sina than Moana. To me, it makes sense that Te Fiti would appear to a person with the face that best resembles that person's idea of a mother. For Moana, that's her own mother. Yes, Moana and Te Fiti look alike, but that's because Moana looks an awful lot like her own mom. I'm SO glad I'm not the only one who believes Moana was NOT the first person called to return the Heart of Te Fiti. She was merely the first to successfully answer the call and not give up when faced with hardship. As for the turtle, the ocean was also testing Moana's intelligence. Literally EVERY well meaning child under the age of 13 (and most of them over that age) would pick up that baby turtle, carry it to the water and plop it in. But Moana, at three years old, understood that the turtle HAD to make that journey across the beach on its own, or it would not be strong enough to swim once it reached the water. That neonatal sprint is critical to a baby turtle's survival. It's the only thing that develops their limbs enough to keep them buoyant in the water. Moana took her time to let the baby learn and grow on its own, providing only shelter from danger. That shows a level of intelligence and wisdom well beyond her years, as well as an understanding of how to work well with others and strengthen her whole team. Also, Moana's dominant function is extroverted Thinking. Fight me. The sundrop rampion was created when a drop of sunlight fell to earth in that spot. It's not unreasonable to assume multiple drops of sunlight hit the earth at that time. And since Te Fiti is a goddess, she could easily have requested the sundrops from the other gods in order to give each significant landmass a means of sustaining life independent of herself. But there's something else to consider: No sundrop falls independent of a drop of moonlight. They are paired, and when they are separated from one another, the drop of moonlight encapsulates itself in a moonstone opal, and grows extremely hard obsidian-like rock spikes around itself in order to protect itself. It seeks to be reunited with the sundrop, and when it gets there, the process is explosive. So if Motonui is host to a sundrop rampion, that means that somewhere in Polynesia, there's a moonstone looking to reunite with that sundrop. Anyone who possesses both the moonstone and the sundrop, and who knows the incantations to make them work, possesses power over basically the whole world.
HOLY MOLY did Jonathan just reference the Kobyashi Maru? Yes, yes he does. Maybe someday we'll get Trek theory vids on SCB. Maybe. Someday? [probably not ... sobs]
I enjoy these videos very much!! Question: Isn’t there a video out there explaining that perhaps the Golden Flower from Tangled was part of the Disney Hercules story?
I saw on somebody else's post that the baby turtle 🐢 is the same turtle that Nemo's Dad rides on in Finding Nemo. The video was of a Disney Q & A with that turtle. Apparently that turtle said he was the same one.
If you want to dive more into the lore about the sun drop and Tangled, I recommend watching the animated series. There is a *boatload* of mythology discussed in the show, and it's exceptionally well done. 😁
Mine are more logical: Moana’s dad is rational and would see anything that could be magical as a rock. Considering they are familiar with bioluminescence, maybe this is what he sees. A bioluminescent rock. I think there were signs that Moan’s grandmother was ill. As soon as we see her with cane, we see her struggling to walk. She seems paler. She seems to be out if breath and having a hard time moving without having to sit down. She does a good job hiding it. I think Moana’s dad was being secretive with the boat because a) it was night and b) they were stealing a boat without permission. He created the rule after his friend died. The paddle that Muai writes on is just a joke, in my opinion. The heart is another way of saying love so I don’t think it goes beyond that. Do love the symbolism of Moana and Tefiti and Moana coming back as a turtle. I can see that after hearing thise theories.
You've never seen start trek... HOW HAVE YOU NEVER SEEN STAR TREK?! Get to watching and get them theorist mind rolling! Y'all will enjoy it greatly, I'm sure. Well, idk about the first series since I've not seen it yet, but next generation and voyager are wonderful!
1:38 Okay so… am I the only one who just really wants to touch the heart of te fiti? It just looks like it would feel so comfortable in my hand, you know?
15:18 Not if she uses the Decaying (moon) spell she finds in the Tangled series - 'Wither and decay, End this Destiny, Break these earthly chains, And set the spirit free.'
I am curious if the reason grandma is so insistent on the prophecy is because she was chosen but failed a test. It could be where he necklace came from, a gift from the first test that was meant to hold the heart. Possibly, she had the rock and tried to get help to cross the break in the wave but no one believed her. It is possible that her son, Moana's dad, see her talking to her partner about it and that is why he knows about it. He may have even tried to take it for his mother, but failed. He doesn't blame his mom, but blames the rock making both of them believe in enough to get other hurt, so he tossed it back into the ocean. This was her second test that was failed, she didn't try going out since no one would help her and the rock was gone. She became "crazy" about it because she felt she failed and she knew the end was coming for them but she couldn't do it on her own. This would explain why the ocean likes her and why she was blessed with the longer life. She ended up holding onto the rock to pass onto someone else once she became too frail to do the trip on her own. So she held on long enough to pass it onto her granddaughter and gave Moana the help the grandmother was looking for all that time.
Also, still works for the theory about Moana being the heart because as an indigenous person, even when we are mixed with other races, we all do look alike enough that if we are apart for long periods we can hardly tell who is who. (Until they are older than 50 then all the sudden they have very distinct features) Basically, I'm saying it is like that Moana can look almost exactly like her grandmother at that age. Heck, I ended up with my white dad's features (like my 2nd grade pictures look like dad in the 2nd grade put on a wig) Still, everyone mistakes me for my mother because I look like her, or my grandmother, but both are indigenous and I'm a few shades lighter.
14:45 or.....it's a picture of the two items of importance that they have with them. Why would he be trying to symbolize people when the items are right there?
I like the theory that Moana becomes a demigod when she nearly drowns, which helps her accomplish many of the feats later in the movie. Like surviving the realm, of the mon... Pick an eye to look at...
Listening to how the stone keeps people alive and wants to go back to it's original place and thinking "hmmm think I've seen it before". Then realizing they have to go to the one place of death and lava to bring the world back to safety. Yep, Te Fiti's stone is the One Ring, that seems about right.
I noticed when watching Moana that the theory of Moana being a sea turtle is a really good theory. not many may notice but on the boat that Moana took on her voyage across the sea I noticed that there was a carving of a sea turtle on the side so we have both the heart of te fiti in the sail but also a sea turtle carved on the side of it making both the 1st test and what her spirit animal might be connected.
The power of Rapunzel actually makes sense because in the TV series there's an opposite power that can bring death, decay and chaos. Which was most likely created first while Te Fiti was full of anger and hatred, the reason decay was being spread far and wide.
Except Te Fiti can't be the source of Rapunzel's powers since we know who the little sun spot is who left a portion of his divinity behind to create the flower when he drank all but the last drop of Hades' potion to turn him mortal: Hercules!
When Moana and Maui meet Tamatoa for the first time, there are two easter eggs in that scene, both when Maui gets his hook back. One, when Maui tries to turn into a hawk, he turns into an assortment of animals, one of which being Sven from Frozen. The other being the Lamp from Aladdin is seen amongst the gold on Tamatoa's back. I see these as only easter eggs, but I wonder what theories people have for why they are in this movie.

Some people have analyzed the movie as a story about how only women can help another woman heal from trauma(I personally really like this interpretation), and my guess since Moana's grandma held the heart for Moana and witnessed what happened with the ocean, my guess is she tried to show the heart to Moana's dad and he probably dismissed it since his mom is seen as the "village crazy lady" with all of her stories and believed it was false hope?
Actually, newborn sea turtles are sometimes distracted by city lights visible near a beach...leading them away from the ocean. The heart then hook means Love, Moui. duh Julieta Madrical (Columbia 1950s) is also a healer.
I also have enjoyed your theory about Moana and Raya connection - the one where Maui had stole the heart concluded to those death monsters in Raya movie. Too bad, you didn't add it into this video. But I still gave you my like)
You could also tie that last theory back to one you guys did a couple of years ago. That the shrine in Frozen 2 with all the spirits of nature is on one side of the Earth, and Moana restoring the Heart of Te Fiti is on the other, meaning those two events are intrinsically linked. But it also goes a little deeper. I don't remember if it was you guys or Film Theory, but someone made a theory that Elsa wasn't raised by her parents, but rather her aunt and uncle, and her real parents are the king and queen from Tangled. I don't remember all the details, but it made sense at the time, and I think it can tie in here as well
That seems directly contradicted by Frozen 2, though, since it's explicitly stated that Elsa is a "gift" given to her parents because they were able to overcome their peoples' differences and choose peace and love. Also, Iduna absolutely can't be related to the Corona royalty, since she's actually Northuldra.
So I'm watching this, and by the second theory I've realized this is just lord of the rings after the fellowship split. Magic Mcguffin needs to go inside a volcano to prevent an apocalypse, two people go on an adventure to deliver it, separate near the end, come back together to help each other one last time, deliver the Mcguffin, and then sail across the sea for the rest of eternity.
Knowing that conch shells come from a species of snail that's considered to have some of the deadliest venom on earth removes any temptation I'd've had to grab it.
That last theory would be cool, except the true root of Rapunzel's power is the sun. For the theory to work we'd have to know more about Te Fiti's origins. Did she just always exist? Did she somehow *also* originate from the sun? In the TV show, Rapunzel herself IS the "Sun Drop" which fell from the sky and created her flower in the first place. The flower easter egg was neat (It was the first ever Disney Easter Egg I spotted on my own), but I doubt there's any connection beyond it being just that.
I have a theory that Moana and The Little Mermaid are connected. Specifically Lalotai and Atlantis (the region/country not the capital city). In the bonus scene at the end of Moana, we hear Tamota singing to himself before asking for help and complaining that because he is named Sabastian and doesn't have a Jamaican accent, no one likes him, that gives us a flimsy tie. Ursula's cave however, that has some pretty similar themes and vibes to parts of Lalotai that we see, including the creepy little sentient worms (the shrunken, dessicated merfolk). Flotsam and Jetsam are also more than just Ursula's familiars or pets, they themselves are inherently magic and bonded together as a pair, as seen by the fact that Ursula's can't look through the eyes of one or they other, she needs them to settle on the correct side of the other and use one eye from each. There's a lot of years between the two movies that can account for style choice differences, after all I remember hearing about Prince Erik being seen in another movie from years later (I think Repunzel?) , the King from Cinerella being on Erik's ship with a slightly different figure, and a few others here and there.
My film theory: the three most amazing Disney Princesses are Moana, Mulan, Marilith and Pocahontas. 8:30 ...is there a honey cake? 13:06 That is a great scene.
Okay two things, I'm not convinced by the last 2 theories, they're outright debunked. 1. The drawing on the oar Maui made wasn't a representation of 2 people. It's literally emoji form of "Love Maui". It's a common way to write autographs from celebrities, "Love (Celeb name here)". While she does look like Te Fiti I'm more willing to believe that she's just a spirit reincarnation sent to revive the original. But either way my only real gripe with the theory was the autograph, because if it was meant to symbolize two people, Maui wouldn't have left her on the island and try to steal the boat. He didn't even want to sail with her, the ocean forced him. 2. The Golden Flower is not the work of Te Fiti. Throughout the movie and the series, we already know that the Golden Flower is a magical drop of sunlight that fell from the sky. (In fact it's seen happening from the intro of the movie.) Te Fiti has the power to give life, but her power isn't seen doing anything to the sky except covering it in black smoke when she's Te Ka and producing wind by exhaling. She presses her hands into the earth to give life to that she touches. Another debunk is that her power is symbolized with green glowing light, while Rapunzel's golden hair is symbolized by a golden glow, like the sunlight it represents. Being a plant doesn't mean the Golden Flower is Te Fiti's work. (Also wasn't it a while back that Super Carlin Brothers associated Rapunzel's power to Elsa's in the manner of which she receives it? Does that mean Elsa's ice power is now Te Fiti's work too? lol)
THEORY!!! Rapunzel could’ve fixed Queen Eleanor and Merida’s fate issue. It’s right there in the song! “Flower, gleam and glow, Let your power shine, Make the clock reverse, Bring back what once was mine, change the fate’s design”.
Ok but in tangled, Eugene specifically says that the flower was created from a drop of sunlight which tefiti would not have created. Now teka could have created this with lava and it was perceived as sunlight but as you stated it I don't think the current theory makes complete sense. Great video though I had a lot of fun theorizing with you.
The firth theory makes sense until you consider the official Tangled canon that comes from Tangled the Series (Absolutely Amazing TV Series IMO) In the official lore the Flower was created by the Sundrop when The Sundrop and Moonstone appeared from the skies or something I can't remember
I do want to contest the last theory. While I think the design of the flower is spot on, I feel like the Bros are ignoring the lore behind why the Tangle Flower blossomed. A tear or drop of the sun landed on it. Now yes, Te Fiti and the sun both represent nature quite heavily, but I don't think they are connected that strongly. More of a plant/photosynthesis connection imo.
OMG! If the heart of tefiti gives life then that's the reason why Moana survives the fall to the monster land! even Maui say she's dead! No human can survive such a fall on the head and with no injuries at all.
The Repunzel theory seems to work when you’re looking at just the movie, but does not work at all when you bring in the show’s lore on both the moonstone and the sun drop. Cool idea though
Just had a weird thought.. the stone trying to get back to it's creator, so to speak, who in it's absence has become a violent volcano causing death and destruction. Has a familiar ring to it.

That's a really cool theory, I think it makes more sense.
Good point!
I would like to ask then: if Moana is both not the only chosen one and also the heart of Te Fiti, if her dad had chosen to go to restore the heart of Te Fiti, would Te Fiti have looked like him?
Aw man I just wrote more or less the same comment 😂 should have known someone would beat me to it!!

I don't know if Te Fiti and Moana are supposed to be the same, just look close enough to be clearly related in some way. So Te Fiti is more of a great, great... grandmonther rather than Moana in another form.
Theory? Maybe not, but Maui's tattoo's. He tells of where he came from and points to the tattoo's where? On his back. His backstory.
More of a little dad joke 😂
Lol, I can just imagine the ocean after coming to that conclusion: "Ooooh, I guess yeah, killing his best friend was not a good idea to motivate him."
@@kiminimuchu__ it could've saved the guy tho
@@kiminimuchu__ pigs can not swim
You know that first theory makes SO MUCH SENSE! I don’t remember if it was 1,000 or 10,000 years ago that Maui stole the heart, but it makes sense that there would be multiple other people chosen. Cause why wait til the darkness is about to consume everything to choose someone to save it?
Edit: another theory going along with the second one: Moana survives the thunderstorm not just because of the ocean, but because of the heart of Te Fiti
And that might have been why her dad survived but his friend did not when the sea tested him! :o
@@sunshineonawinterday Yes that could be as the dad acts strange when Moana has the heart like he knows what is is which makes him want her to stay away from the ocean more than before
I agree
the last theory is a bit of a stretch since Tangled tells us the flower came from a sun drop. The tangled series also added to this by revealing there was also a moon drop that causes nothing but destruction to balance out the sun
Moana was never alone. Her grandmother was with her the whole time. She died as she left and her spirit sailed with her the entire time. That’s why when Moana needed her most the grandma was there with her. Also just before she left her grandma told her do u think there is anywhere u can go that I won’t be with u?
What would happen if Moana helped the baby turtle but something still got it, cause you know...she's a baby? Would the ocean start to give Moana the shell and the heart before going, "gotcha!" and yeeting them both into oblivion?
Also, surprised ya'll didn't use the Harry Potter "...but I am the chosen one" clip 😄

Ye but Moana was just a baby toddler back then. They see one thing and that one thing is all that exists...
@@misamisaa4547 True, kids have tunnel vision.
Her expression of devastation over Sisu’s demise was because she was having second thoughts about it, but eventually chose to do that because it was the next step to bringing the siblings and other dragons back, as it was a restart of everything, the water was drained since it would be a clean slate for her and Raya's land back to when dragons and regular inhabitants were coexisting with each other.
so in tangled we have the sundrop and the moonstone. a yellow and blue rock respectively. now, we have a green rock representing earth with similar powers. yellow and blue makes green.
I got a theory that Moana‘s father is really a clone trooper because he is voiced by Temuera Morrison since Star Wars is set “ A long time ago in a galaxy far far away”
Ah yes 🤦♂️

I don’t think the ghosts were actually there at the end, I think Moana was hallucinating due to having no food or sleep since Tamatoa

SO. if tui did actually succeed the second test and make it to maui, would te fiti have looked like him?
My best friend dying vs. a scratched up foot. I honestly can understand Moana's father.
I have not seen Moana but now you have made me interested in doing so.
Maybe. Someday? [probably not ... sobs]
I WISH I’m shocked he said he hasn’t seen it
I enjoy these videos very much!!
Mine are more logical:
Moana’s dad is rational and would see anything that could be magical as a rock.
God ide love SCB diving into Star trek lore but that’s a big ask xD love the trek reference guys!

Glad to be early so excited to see what you guys think are the most believable theories!
1:38 Okay so… am I the only one who just really wants to touch the heart of te fiti? It just looks like it would feel so comfortable in my hand, you know?
15:18 Not if she uses the Decaying (moon) spell she finds in the Tangled series -
'Wither and decay,
End this Destiny,
Break these earthly chains,
And set the spirit free.'
(Until they are older than 50 then all the sudden they have very distinct features)
Basically, I'm saying it is like that Moana can look almost exactly like her grandmother at that age.
Heck, I ended up with my white dad's features (like my 2nd grade pictures look like dad in the 2nd grade put on a wig)
Still, everyone mistakes me for my mother because I look like her, or my grandmother, but both are indigenous and I'm a few shades lighter.
14:45 or.....it's a picture of the two items of importance that they have with them. Why would he be trying to symbolize people when the items are right there?
12:26 when J accidentally mispronounced Motu, did anyone else hear ‘Mata Nui’ like the Bionicle? 😂
I like the theory that Moana becomes a demigod when she nearly drowns, which helps her accomplish many of the feats later in the movie. Like surviving the realm, of the mon... Pick an eye to look at...
Something that annoys me about Moana is how they call the boats “canoes” the proper Maori name is “waka” which was changed by colonisers to canoe
Gramma Tala has lots of Jedi tricks, doesn't she?
Agree.
"Randomly CAPITALIZED Word In The Title"
"Left turn into corona" sounds exactly like a 1 sentence summary of 2020-2022.
I liked the reference to the Kobayashi Maru. Also J and I must be on a similar wavelength as I was thinking sea turtle too for Moana’s spirit animal.
Theory6: The mark on Te Fiti looks similar when Northuldra people gather in spiral form in Frozen 2
10:26 love this 💚
Wouldn't it be cool if the baby turtle in Moana is the same grown up Turtle Marlon meets in Nemo :) Or related to :)
I always love how the new Disney and Pixar are interconnected if you pay attention to them.
Except Te Fiti can't be the source of Rapunzel's powers since we know who the little sun spot is who left a portion of his divinity behind to create the flower when he drank all but the last drop of Hades' potion to turn him mortal: Hercules!
Been a while since I’ve watched you guys, nearly a year. Still great as ever!

I didn't know about this movie until I had a kid. I think I like it more than him now, lol
I’m pretty sure the “tweeting” part was just an autograph, like how celebrities will signs things “love, ___” or “❤️___”
the sundrop flower from tangled is even referenced in moana as the flowers and plants are coming back after the blight is cured!
You know... if you picked up the seashell... does that mean a turtle died during your test?!
Some people have analyzed the movie as a story about how only women can help another woman heal from trauma(I personally really like this interpretation), and my guess since Moana's grandma held the heart for Moana and witnessed what happened with the ocean, my guess is she tried to show the heart to Moana's dad and he probably dismissed it since his mom is seen as the "village crazy lady" with all of her stories and believed it was false hope?
wow i never thought about it like that and now that i am i’m gonna go cry
Actually, newborn sea turtles are sometimes distracted by city lights visible near a beach...leading them away from the ocean.
The heart then hook means Love, Moui. duh
Julieta Madrical (Columbia 1950s) is also a healer.
I've never been this early for a video... ever.
I also have enjoyed your theory about Moana and Raya connection - the one where Maui had stole the heart concluded to those death monsters in Raya movie. Too bad, you didn't add it into this video. But I still gave you my like)
If the *Supercarlin* brothers aren’t in *Once Upon A Studio* as cameos ATLEAST I’m rioting
I love these Disney theories!
If Pua died like the chiefs friend I don't think Moana would have gone on the voyage. The Ocean is picking favorites.
I gotta say, I love that tamatoa wasn’t spoiled In the trailers.
Does that mean Elsa's ice power is now Te Fiti's work too? lol)
I think that Tui had never been the chosen one, was told so, and tried anyway. When his friend died because of his arrogance, he went into denial.
Just heard that my teacher talked to y'all last year. Thanks for that 5 bonus credit for my grade!
THEORY!!!
Rapunzel could’ve fixed Queen Eleanor and Merida’s fate issue. It’s right there in the song!
“Flower, gleam and glow,
Let your power shine,
Make the clock reverse,
Bring back what once was mine,
change the fate’s design”.
Except the golden flower in Tangled came from a drop of sun that fell from the sky 🤔
The firth theory makes sense until you consider the official Tangled canon that comes from Tangled the Series (Absolutely Amazing TV Series IMO)
In the official lore the Flower was created by the Sundrop when The Sundrop and Moonstone appeared from the skies or something I can't remember
The "but" at 12:10 NEEDED to be followed by "under the surface"
I do want to contest the last theory. While I think the design of the flower is spot on, I feel like the Bros are ignoring the lore behind why the Tangle Flower blossomed. A tear or drop of the sun landed on it. Now yes, Te Fiti and the sun both represent nature quite heavily, but I don't think they are connected that strongly. More of a plant/photosynthesis connection imo.
@6:28 Hey! That's Maui's little tattoo guy!
Just hearing those clips of grandma tala INESCAPLE DEATHHH
OMG! If the heart of tefiti gives life then that's the reason why Moana survives the fall to the monster land! even Maui say she's dead! No human can survive such a fall on the head and with no injuries at all.
I don't play into the theory that all Disney movies are the same universe, BUT I do like to think that baby turtle is Crush from Finding Nemo.
You need to watch Tangled the series, it's better than you probably think and will answer important questions
