I have the same exact bow with draw weight of 50lbs however i was not sure if i bought the right bow but after watching this video and review i can breath a sign of relief. Even though I am a beginner shooting for past 2 months I think I was shooting great with it with more consistent result , the more I practice and build strength the better I was getting. Just last week I split am arrow with this bow and shoot 8 arrows inside a coffee cup at once. I still shoot inside a coffee cup with more consistent result but I only shoot one arrow at a time don't want to spilt any more arrows. Now you have officially passed this bow over samick sage I am very happy. Thanks for the review on BLACK HUNTER.

I have the Mandarin duck longbow version, and the timber ridge version, I bought about a year ago and I love them. I've been shooting traditional archery off and on since I was a kid and for the money the three best deals I have found are the Black Hunter, the samick sage, but the best one that I have found for the best shooting most forgiving is the Old Mountain Mesa longbow from 3rivers.

I'm sure they can probably add the inserts for a stabilizer or whichever you want. Seems to be a pretty sweet shooting bow. You can put a limb mounted quiver on it. Your horse is well trained doesn't move at all when you're shooting. I have steered quite a few people to Samick Sage but I do believe you're right this is much better as a starter bow, it's more refined and looks more comfortable to shoot than a Samick. Looking forward to more videos, get busy Greg having fun

Sharp bow. Sage has it beat in my book strictly because of versatility. This bow has absolutely no options strictly bare bow. Nothing wrong with that! Simply less options for a beginner to use. It is a buetiful riser! I'd use one.👍 Sage is now made by gallaxy and is available in the elite model which also now utilizes the limb alignment pins for the more streamlined look. I have a Hoyt compound with all the bells and whistles for competition. I used to fire pistols on the range, which you held in the right hand. So, when I took up archery, I held the riser in the right hand and drew back the arrow with the left hand obviously. And folk said, oh your left-handed. I have this day ordered a 30lb recurve Black hunter, so I enjoyed this video, for as you see, as he is a left hander. It cost me in US $147.00 or Australian dollar $216.00. I think I'll stick with my Sage though, and if I recall with the Sage you were nailing the center of the targets out of the box without needing any tuning, I like the looks of that Hoyt quiver, have I missed you doing an evaluation on that?

I bought a 40# version with the bamboo hybird longbow limbs from another vendor almost two years ago. I found the form, fit and function to be excellent, save one caveat; my draw length is a solid 29-1/2" plus and I do feel some annoying stacking at full draw using the classic three finger split. Certainly not a deal breaker, especially at this price and performance point, but I do wish they had an optional longer limb kit available for those of us with ridiculously long arms. As is, I have modified my anchor by placing my thumb knuckle just under the corner of my mouth and it smoothes things out well enough. Perhaps some enterprising bowyer will step up and fill an aftermarket niche, assuming longer limbs would work with the short riser.

Poundage is just one factor. Another that plays into the decision is how the bow is cut.
Is it cut not to, to or past center?
Draw length is not really important unless it is longer than 28”. Then it would affect the draw weight and possibly limit your choices in arrows.

There is a video on UA-cam of the torture test. They draw and fire it repeatedly. When they do they draw with the bow braces on their feet and they draw to their waist.
I have. 30” draw and have had no problems. But from what I understand, they give no draw limit.

The Black Hunter is made by a Chinese Company. That's why Chinese letters. The bow is branded in western countries by different companies, but they all have Black Hunter in name (Obert Black Hunter, Mandarin Duck Black Hunter, Big Rock Black Hunter etc etc). In this case of "takedown bow", "takedown" needs to be joined as one word or hyphenated because it is acting as a compound adjective to describe the next word (bow).

These Bows are made in China. The Original Brand is from „Mandarin Duck Bows“
You can get These Bows also with Hybridlimbs. I own 2 of them in 30+35 lbs.
And i payed 80€ for each of them. Realy super Bows, even with my drawlength of 30“.
    No stacking, fast, forgiving.
