    Why didn't you try the dither feature in background extraction to help reduce rotation noise. Setting it up in EQ mode helps allot. Your videos have been a real aid in showing me how to use Siril in post processing. I love my D2 . It is so easy to use and setup that I'm running out of objects to capture in our present seasonal skies. I am always amazed how well it brings out details in our poor northeastern suburban skies. I am looking forward to my Seestar S50 which I hope to receive in Nov or Dec. I figure the added FL will increase the object size by 2.5 times. The Dwarf will give me a wider FOV while the Seestar will give me a larger detail view. My biggest challenge has been improving my post processing skills. I'm getting there but it needs more work. Many times I go back over your videos as a refresh. Thanks for your sharing.

    Thinking your average dwarf buyer won’t be using special software to process

    Now that was a great video 👍 A few questions: how did you get the .fit file you used for fitsscrubber? I always convert my stacked.png to .fits with an online convertor. So wondering what you do to get the .fit file. Second: I see that after Fitsscrubber the image is vertically mirrored. Is that because of Fitsscrubber or because of the converting png to fit(s)? I mailed Dennis Mellican about this and he says the Fitsscrubber is doing no mirroring. So it must be the converter.
    And I learned something again. I was wondering about the star removal, thinking why do you want an image without the stars. How do you get them back. Never knew, never saw that you can download them as a separate file 😅

      Thanks! And for the fits file i just stacked all of my subs in siril from the dwarf ii and used the result.fits file. Fitscrubber image is mirrored because i did not run a photometric color calibration on it, which rotates the image automatically.

    Planetary Nebulae not easy with a 1 inch scope, usually need bigger aperture for these! so good job with the data you have! one question I have aa I am pretty new to Siril but wondering why you rotate and crop, rather than just draw a box around the region of interest then right clicking and choose crop? you remove all of the border noise so improve with back ground extraction as when you rotate as well some of that noise/stacking artifact is left behind and would effect overall image in post? Another good video should try this object myself! Have you tried the Helix Nebula with both D2 and Seestar? Too low foe me here I think with trees?? Thanks Again!!

      I haven't gotten the chance for helix nebula because it's too low in the sky for me because of trees. I rotate and crop to keep as much of the image as possible, if i cropped without rotation i would lose too much of the image in my opinion.

    well Done! Can DwarfII obtain also a good image of Headhorse nebula? Best regards

      oh yes, most definitely, and it's gorgeous

      @maurode: according to Clear Outside it should've been a cloudy night, but it was clear all night and I tried to catch the horsehead for the first time. I don't have a PC, only working with an iPad Pro, but used Fitsscrubber and after that I edited with LIghroom Mobile. The 'head' is not as sharp, but for a first try I'm happy with the result. Shot with Dwarf II: 135 stacks, 10 exp, 60 gain. Shot 1,5 hours before sunrise.

    Do you not EQ mount your Dwarf?

    • @ScottCastrophotography
      @ScottCastrophotography  9 місяців тому

      I do, but i didn't this time. Poor mistake honestly

    • @denodan
      @denodan 9 місяців тому

      OK. This is a game changer for the Dwarf 2, can be EQ mounted. Also they have a new beta software for Dwarf 2, takes stacked images of sun or moon and auto stacks the tiffs into a jpg image, just like you woud process manually through Astrostacket, etc. Also has dynamic noise fix. Should as Dwarf labs for it and see what you think. Also binning 1X1
