There are a lot of ASE certified technicians who do not understand what they are doing. I had an experience with one for the car repair shops that I wanted a specific car component to be fixed but an ASE certified technician is telling me otherwise. I removed my car from their garage and fixed it myself. Saved me $85 per hour on labour, besides, I have the correct tools to do the repair.
So wait...to become ASE certified you need to be a tech with 2 years of experience, but no place is hiring techs without ASE certification. So my question is how is somebody supposed to get those 2 years of experience to get certified if nobody is hiring techs without certification....
Very interesting, I was always wondering about that. Trish knows her stuff!
