    This shaving cream technique is awesome and has so many uses for mixing colors so they retain their original color next to each other. These all had a great combination to them, very cooperative. If you ever do it again, maybe try opposite color wheel colors: purple/yellow, orange/blue, green/red. With this technique they won't mix (too much?) and could make for some really interesting combinations.

    I've never had any luck with socks even 70% cotton the color washes out alot so I'm anxious to try this

      Awesome! This is a great technique to use up leftover liquid dye. You can dye the socks to match your shirt. 😀

    Totally cool socks, Angie. You'll have to try some bamboo socks sometime. Thanks for sharing.

    😎 cool. I have some of the bamboo socks from Dharma. I’m going to give this a try. 🤔 wonder if you could do this with textile paint 🎨. Pondering

      @@FunEndeavors cheap shaving cream is on the grocery order 🤩. May have to try some toddler size tees or onesies. I have tons of fabric paint. I’ll try it. I’m thinking on woven fabric it will work well. Stretchy I’m not so sure about.

    I suggest you let them sit on the dye at least 5 minutes & you wont have as much shaving cream remaining the socks when you pick them up. You'll get more color saturation that way.

    I've dyed easter eggs in cool whip and I wonder if it would work with tie dye. I may have to take one for the team and try it 😂

    • @FunEndeavors
      @FunEndeavors  2 роки тому +1

      It probably would. It's pretty much the same consistency as shaving cream.

  • @TheUnholyPosole
    @TheUnholyPosole 2 роки тому +1

    Do you think you would get different results if you mixed dye with shaving cream, then adding it in the tub followed with swirling, rather than pouring dye onto the shaving cream?

    • @FunEndeavors
      @FunEndeavors  2 роки тому

      I'm not sure. I don't think that would work as well. If you noticed, the dye was lifted off of the top of the shaving cream by the fabric. If you mixed it with the shaving cream, I think you would lose the marble effect.
