It was the '80s.....as lame & embarrassing time as it was. Then the 1990s "Grunge" period & everything took a 180⁰ to plaid. That's why the "Music Business" was a joke.

Definite influence of The Ox in that sound, but John Entwistle was a pioneer of the Bass in Rock as being more than just an accompanying instrument, Billy has his own unique style and Entwistle spoke of him with respect. I know Paul Samwell Smith inspired him, Five Live Yardbirds from The Marquee, London 1964 features a totally progressive Bass style for that time, sadly the recording equipment of the time was unable to record Bass Live. Thanks for the upload 👍
Wait this is a learn video? By him? Oh my fuck this is going on my bedtime stories playlist, you know what they say about going bed with a book under the pillow, well you never know👍
What gives me hope is that while he obviously Knows notes and music stuff, there is shit that dont matter. I cant read music or programming languages, i tried paino and violin and it made no sense, but I don't care about that, way i see it, i will only get so far, i have, well, not long, and understand the limits of a thing, i can type as fast as he can play, but its not transferable. I wish id done more music and less computer
In UA-cam, if you tap on the video, a bunch of icons appear. One of them looks like a gear to indicate settings. Tap on that and one of the options is playback speed. It even keeps the notes the same. Just slower.
I mean, hey. To be fair, he is asking him relative questions. So he's doing his job. Besides, he might be trying to not let the spiritual pressure get to him. Lol.
Forget the bass secrets - what are the hair secrets?
lol😂🤣
It looks like Billy "thinks" he has the hair secrets, but Wolf......Wolf holds the goddamn key.
Electrocuted Hair style 30w.

I used this video on the original VHS tape. Very good memories from the lessons
I ordered these tapes back in the day too. Glad to own them.
"ill just play it, you explain it"lol love it
Yes!!!!! This sent me!
These two make a great team. The virtuoso translator. Lol
I had this in VHS
Thanks for posting this! Billy is the king!
I watched some videos of him a few days ago, he is a true god
Love the hair on these guys

I'm most impressed by the interviewer listening rather than pretending to listen.
GOAT
Great stuff! Billy is such a nice guy too. Could also be in handy for a shampoo comercial ;)
Killer bro I know Billy met him about 5 times and hung out twice. He is so cool.
Really? Awesome!!!
What happened? He didn't sleep over the other 3 times? What a dog!
Oh that 80's hair.
This is a cool bass video with a lot of wisdom in it. It's just that drawing it out is the hard part for me. 😅
Billys playing sounds like the van halen on bass a real bass king

but this isn't a full video. the full version is 83 minutes long
Getting there organically is the key I think
To Advanced Bass κατέβηκε;
Δυστυχώς κατέβηκε, λόγο πνευματικών δικαιωμάτων.
80's Billy Sheehan looks like Matt Stone
No idea who that is but you can tell the interviewer did his own hair by comparison 😃

This IS two men, correct? One man, interviewing the other, right? Just tell it to me straight, ok!!
If you can't tell then you're just S O L
Yep. It's just a different time period (hair metal-esque).
I know, it feels different. Lol.
I remember having this on video wishing that he'd slow down a bit and not rush through the patterns and chords.
Same here. Showing full speed is useless.

Sounds like they are drunk when slowed down @@erikmermagen7435
The poser interviewer could at least look interested in one of the best Bass players ever.
Self projecting there Bubba J... You obviously don't have a clue who he is ... Must be a young pup
