Unfortunately like 50% of the deepwoken community is just as bad, or even worse than the rogue lineage community
Rogue is just a completely different game from deepwoken, rogue shouldn't have to die just because deepwoken came out. Rogue was no where near finished and still had time to fix inf combos and bugs but the devs gave up on it. I can't speak for all rogue players but personally I'll always have a small hatred for deepwoken for killing off a game with such potential. Rogue was a great game and deepwoken is too. This video got alot of things wrong about rogue but I won't blame it on him, he probably didn't enjoy rogue as much as some other players did.

As a Rogue lineage community member I’ll just say this for all of us people who hate on deepwoken most likely are just mad they won’t be able to spam their 1 shot combos and have to adjust to a new combat system.

Rogue players would literally come out of nowhere, kill you in one combo and claim that they're good
Deepwoken's combat basically balancing combat so that battles aren't necessarily won by the one with more skills makes me way more hyped.

Honestly, I felt originally like rogue players were mad that the player base would be split between an arguably better game. Now in hindsight looking back I feel the same now. In rogue honestly getting to deep knight and actively staying alive long enough for all your friends to progress was unlikely, but in deepwoken you actually stand a chance of having all your friends reach top tier or end game on their slots.

I've been playing rogue for more than a year with few months breaks, simply because it got boring and doesn't get updated much along with a lot of unbalanced stuff. I really hope deepwoken will be a good and fun game as right now it actually looks like it now so I don't understand why people hate it, as personally I'm waiting for it's release

I bought rouge a couple months back and i literally couldnt progress as a newbie i asked how to but none of them helped since i always get ganked every second. I have hopes for deepwoken its not one sided combat and it looks cool and fresh

playing deepwoken now, the game is not repetitive because of how diverse characters can become it legit means making a new character is ALWAYS fun because you learn and improve from your previous builds, this also makes accounts more unique and intresting since it isnt just "dzin uber oni #623", while I understand the combat can be slow that does not translate into it being boring, I argue that deepwoken combat is 10x more engaging then rogue combat because it is slow and precise, and its more tense knowing you are panacking and choking then in rogue where you get killed in 2 moves that you couldn't escape from. People who still play rogue just dont want to start fresh since they spent to long on rogue and have conected their self worth and ego to their 999 days all arti mages lmao.
yeah, I feel like in Deepwoken the combat is more interesting because its slower and more precise. It enforces the feeling that if you dont do something right then you will die, creating fights that actually have meaning. If you had deepwoken combat in a game without permadeath, then itd not be as fun because instead of trying your hardest to win in every fight for survival, it would be tryharding, when in contrast to DW its for survival. You know that if you dont win you might lose the progress you've made and I love the feeling of high stakes because every win when you're a lower level feels rewarding. Hell, even just barely surviving is rewarding in Deepwoken. The fear of losing makes the game fun and impactful. I get thats not fun to some people, but I love risk.

I find it ironic how RL players were hoping Deepwoken would fail yet it has 100 times the players RL has these days (300 x 100 = 30000)

My question is: What if you get 2v1'd? With slower combat and no combos I think it would be pretty hard to outskill 2 people at the same time.
Just know your skills and limitations having fast m1 and one combos are not the only ways to survive there are ways for you to win even if your getting 2v1ed. Sure, its gonna be harder than rogue where u have shinobi and hoppa mages that can just dip in the middle of a fight if its not in their favor but the game is looking like a rlly good game and I look forward to it

I'm really hyped for Deepwoken, I'm tired of solo progressing in rouge due to mostly getting gripped by those damn shinobis. Hopefully my internet is suitable for this amazing darksouls-like game.

played the game for the first time like 6 days ago and it is really fun so far I haven't encountered any major problems however I'm sure that'll change whenever I play with my homie again.
Biggest problem is though that you got people coming in and absolutely obliterating you with the guild name "Hostile Forces"

You know, being 68th in an all-bosses run for a decently popular game is pretty good.
Also I hope to GOD deepwoken's combat is way slower paced and they don't speed it up after hearing a bunch of whining from the playerbase, which are gonna hate it.

Worth noting magic spam is still viable, but you're still going to have to know how to melee if you want to get ether back fast.
True but also magic attacks are easy to parry and most of etris can’t perfect cast
Deepwoken looks cool, but the thing i dont like about it soo far is it seems like there is very limited amount of weapons and abilities which increases amount of mirror matches and that can get annoying in my opinion. However if more skills / weapons were to be added then i will have no problems because long pvp is fun in my opinion compared to instant death.
there isnt a limited amount, the thing is that people seem to go more with swords, but you have scimitars, spears, a greatsword even, you have flintocks, daggers, axes, hammers and alot more that havent just been released to the public yet, but yes theres alot of stuff and the game also has alot of spells, though most people use the burst damage combo variation for all spells, theres still more to see
you can literally make your own spells bruh how is that very limited
@@bonezoned i am pretty sure you can only make the spell name. The spell itself will be the same. Maybe just small changes like size, dmg, color.
@@ElysiumSofantiel that sounds actually really nice. I've seen gloves (or caestus as rogue players are used to) and it could only use 2 fire spells which made me worry. I hope they add different stuff for every weapon to make up for the skills decrease.
@@sabi9901 also amount of hits, speed, shape, destruction, etc, also there are ritual spells but we dont know what they do. there are preset spells, but you can change almost anything ( and also completely reshape ) anything about it
Rogue lineage players excuse to why they play rogue lineage everyday even tho it’s repetitive is. “It’s the only good game on roblox” , which there are so many well scripted games other than rogue lineage. Many people will most likely be thinking this.

And don’t forgot 99% of roblox user are 12 year olds and, Sperm cells. So your going to see stupid videos of these kids crying about how the game is to hard.
The reason i am not as excited is because the combat is really slow and defensive and I liked the combat in rouge(not the macro users) also in rouge you get this feeling of uncertainty when playing for the first time or when you first discovered tundra and you had to navigate that and the feeling was hard to describe, knowing that at any moment you could die and lose a ton of progress it gave a weird feeling. Deepwoken seems to be arguably easier to progress and seems to be an easier game in general(i could be wrong). It just has a different air I guess for me. Not hating on deepwoken i just like rouge more.
Deepwoken you need skill it’s like dark souls and parry simulator and I love it even though I suck at parrying I still love the game

As a new Deepwoken player (a few weeks now), I love this game. I've played Rouge, it feels so cheese, Deepwoken gives me a chance to fight back when im attacked. Even if im a freshie, i can still defend myself long enough from higher level players to either 1.) Get away, 2.) Beat them (unlikely, but its happened before), 3.) get to an area they might not be able to get to (agility), 4.) get to a friendly, npc's, or a friend, and the list goes on. I feel like when im confronted (and have fair conditions like decent internet connection and not being gank'd) I have a chance to win, and if I do lose, I usually feel like it was my fault that I died and feel like it means I need to just get better, which wasnt my experience with rouge at all. The game just feels more fair. Sure, its sad to lose your progress, but id rather feel like it was my fault that I had to restart rather than game design, which is one of the many reasons I enjoy Deepwoken more.

@@Reaconteur I fully agree with that ngl, it become very dry for me once i got my max build and to be honest im kind of hating more on the toxic deepwoken builds than toxic rogue builds.
theres also the fact that the pve is much better than rogue pve... for one in rogue in gaia you have so few enemies in pve... along with the fact that a single mistake is just a death, howlers will break you, shriekers will eat you. i don't really think i need to talk about monsters in khei... if ya aint a mage or have some sort of artifact most of if not all of the monsters in khei will kill you (excluding the golems, giant dristini normal dristini, those are easy enough to handle if you have viribus/ignis) harpies will yeet you, griffins will never stop chasing you, monke is.. monke, basilisk just says hello and commits war crimes on you... and finally.. the corrupted mage... why, why does it exist? why is there an enemy that just says "oi u nuts mate, go jump off a ledge" even if you survive against it you aint livin for long without findin a dang psychiatrist.

The both of the games look a little similar however I personally prefer deepwoken a bit more since it's a bit more fun due to the combat system, the gimmicks of dying, the fact that it requires more skill to progress through the game, and personally I think it's just overall better than rogue lineage

I'd say it requires a lot less skill to progress through the game, as it's absolutely abhorrently easy to get a life back + the pve is dull and easy in most aspects if you know what you're doing

i used to hate rouge because i'd get wiped by macro / one combo users, however i had a pretty good reaction time and parry time. so when i found deepwoken i ditched rouge and basically smashed up deepwoken.
