I've recently enjoyed going back and watching all of your coverage of the Lichess arenas and Magnus. Thanks so much for the content and dedication. You give me hope that even at 30 I could still make NM one day.
You can easily do it. I'm older than you and I went from 1200 to 1800+ USCF within six months when I stopped playing OTB games. My last game I drew with a candidate master. I play on lichess in the 2000-2100 range often defeating 2200+ players including a couple of 2400 players. Uhm, no. One tourney result does not equate to a player conclusively being the best at something. Yes, Magnus has more on his belt to justify calling him the best current bullet player, but proclaiming he's simply better than Alireza seems out of place. Right now they're too neck-and-neck to decide who's stronger in the format, imo. Also, your comment oozes fanboy. Chill for a bit.

Mrwutevah First of all, magnus carlsen adopted Penguin, naroditsky and Alı reza :) no one ever adopted magnus in any format, we’re talking about bullet so magnus adopted everyone but no one can adopt him this is the proof number 1. Every titled player has joined, finals were alireza penguin and naroditsky and magnus ended up winning. Also magnus said that to be humble he had a positive score against alireza in bullet in Lichess
@ You're spitting opinions, and I'm hating only if you consider not agreeing that Magnus is conclusively the current best bullet player to be hate. 1. He's adopted them in the past. Alireza is young and constantly improving. He was rated lower at the time Magnus adopted him than he is now. 2. Again, it's one tourney result. If one would look at Ivanchuk's tourney result of Linares 1991 and conclude he was the strongest player at the time based on that, it wouldn't just be fair to Kasparov and Karpov, both arguably stronger at the time. Looking at singular tourneys just doesn't convincingly support what you're claiming. For the lifetime scores, yeah, sure, they're impressive, but for them to say anything, you'd also have to include Alireza's score against those opponents. Your score between Magnus and Alireza is at least in terms of bullet factually false. Magnus started this video with roughly +20 over Alireza, and when it ended, the difference had shrunk to +15. No +40 there. Again, chill. I'm not saying Magnus isn't the best player also in the bullet format (since he is, quite undoubtedly the strongest in all other formats), I'm just saying I'l not sure about it, since Alireza is producing impressive results in his encounters with the world champion. I don't see why you act so defensive, feeling the utmost need to proclaim in a comment started with "UPDATE" that Magnus in fact still is the strongest.
