Carlsen on a completely different stratosphere. I have never seen such a gifted person who plays basically all chess types (960, Bullet, Blitz, Rapid, Classic) at the same highest level. Much respect...

Well that's not entirely true. Of course he is the best classic chess player in the world and the way he played, especially in 2019, was simply stunning. But Blitz is still different. He has a Blitz rating of freaking 2954, that's just out of this world...

This was one of the most disputed Lichess events I've seen with Jerry commenting. Midway there were still 9 players within grasp of first place, very exciting! That triple loss in a row for Carlson was shocking and uncharacteristic. I could feel his frustration as he took a breather, it was telling at how emotional he can get playing. He's only human we often forget! But like a true champion came back CRUSHING it with 12 wins in a row!! It's like he used that negative moment to fuel him to victory. Thank you Jerry for such a wonderful coverage.

Jerry you are my favourite chess commentator after mato, suren, agadmator, gingergm, benfinegold, svidler, leko, annarudolf, erichansen, amanhambleton, botez, erik kurtz, and chessbrah interns. You up there on the top buddy

I know what a joke, we're missing out on the most epic of bullet tournaments because of some contract bullshit. Can someone convince him even just once for the fans?

@@kasparov9 Magnus would still win and comfortably so. Hikaru is probably relieved that he has an excuse to not play lichess because he would just end up losing to Magnus each time

I've always thought Naka would beat Magnus in a long 1'0 match, he just look
better to me after watching them both for years now. But we will see, they need a long match to happen, 50-100 games.

3 losses in a row at 1:22, we need to see a Naka match.
