samia is my absolute favorite artist at the moment. she has a way of writing lyrics with tiny beautiful specific details of moments and experiences that makes it feel so incredibly real.
Only recently discovered Samia's music and absolutely love her voice and lyrical work. The live version of Stellate here hits so much harder too, especially with the "and you want your money back" line. The amount of heartache and emotion in the delivery made me tear up. I think we all know that feeling at some point in our lives and she expressed it so accurately.
First heard Triptych on spotify a few years ago, and it became one of my most played songs that year. Ive never heard her talk, and I have to say this band was fucking amazing, and Samia has such a raw, unique personality I love. Keep doing what your doing Samia, and share your heart and voice with the world - im sure its very healing for some people and you of course
Samia, I love your music. I mostly love the more rock-y songs like Fit N Full but you’re able to keep me interested even with the calmer ones. You’re special. And KEXP is special too, so what an awesome combo!
Samia's vocals are mind bendingly beautiful. The writing, too. Im dedd. echem.. I had to add, that I believe she has OBJECTIVELY the greatest falsetto of all time. Samia, the GFOAT.
the quality of this its absolutely outstanding. The music, the sound, everything. And then you have to hear people saying theres no good music nowadays or that music is getting worse.
Aw I love this! Also pleasantly surprised to see that most of the songs were off the first album. Not that her new album wasn’t fantastic but that first album is so special to me
saw her live on tour in april 2023 & she was the best live vocalist i've ever heard. an incredible talent & the baby is one of the best indie albums ever made
(And that's coming from a middle-aged white guy, that snark, mind you. I dunno who they are. But they are good. Session guys? Ringers? Hey, whatever, she's got a good thing going with them and I have an inkling she may be on her way to the top as I write this, so hats off to her).
"I left you in life because you don't need my pen to embellish your noteworthy parts I only write songs about things that I'm scared of So now you are deathless in art" WHOAH. I'm gonna go ahead and assume she wrote those lyrics, and assuming that's the case, I will update my forecast on her career prospects: She's already a star, but enough people just don't know it yet. Soon enough!
I had to think about this, she may scream IDC over and over again at what I an about to say buy everybody quit with the extreme PC bullshitz when I die, I want the fastest transition from this life to the next without having to stare at a loved one just so they can scream how bad they gonna miss me, I just want to go and not feel it thats a one way ticket to hell if you don't know it if you have to linger at death you might get lost away from the tunnel. Be careful what you wish for here.

What a set by Samia and the band. We are witnessing a rising star folks

I love Samia, thanks for featuring her and "Is There Something in the Movies?", one of my favourite songs ever ❤
When she sings about giving the stuffed pig I ALWAYS start bawling.
Seriously - Not to mention this live version is so special. I love the electric vs acoustic guitar and solo.
When I first saw this video, I immediately bought tickets to see her in Columbus. Just went and they were AMAZING!
I've been waiting so many years for this! Proud of you 😍

Awesome songwriter/singer! I really enjoyed the baby album, really well written raw feeling lyrics.

Kindly tell to me what is MENA.
@@HELLNAWW Middle eastern/North African.
I appreciate everyone every genre of music.
But I don’t know why I am still in Aurora.
Back to back times I've gone "oh I saw them open for X" on keep
I gotta know where the drummer got that shirt
she fucking rules
Just wondering... why did she perform most of the songs from her previous album? I'd love to listen to the new ones
why are there ads in the middle of songs ugh
Her mom is the lady from Hocus Pocus that's crazy.
تبقاو على خير ❤❤😂😂لانو

Interesting how only 1 song from the new record.
I liked the first record a lot more so I found it a pleasant surprise. Also interesting that it wasn't even the bigger singles from that album
@@alexjohnson6192 Just figured album cycle promotion etc. I prefer honey haha
It's so cool of Samia's dad and his friends to be so supportive that they became her live band. Very heartwarming. Lol ;)

I was excited to see a Samia set, and then I saw the setlist... Thats a crappy song choice. No django? No lasting friend? booooo
Not my cup of tea. But perfect for Debbie Downers
Sorry to hear about your terrible taste, that sucks man.
Awesome!
