That tip about holding the E Minor with the middle and ring finger makes it so much easier for me to transition between the chords now! I've been struggling with that for weeks, thanks Marty!!
For the e minor, another way you could play it to help transition to the C is by doing pointer finger on 2nd fret on the A string and middle finger in 2nd fret on the D string, that way when you change chord shapes you can keep your middle finger pressed down and you just shift your pointer down to 1st fret on the B string and add the ring finger

for anyone struggling with the strumming pattern, for me its easier to learn the barre chords because once you learn them, trust me, its gonna make your life easier. you don't need capo anymore and its easier to mute strings.
