But there is NO excuse for a mother wishing her child dead especially when she is laying in a hospital bed having just gone through the worst loss. I wouldn’t be able to forgive that either. Your Grandmother seems like an awful woman.
If that were my mom, she would never see me or her grandkids again! She would not know where I lived, she would not have my phone number. If she showed up at my door I would call the police for harrassment.

It is hard. My mom hasn't said anything that terrible. But, she's said she wished she didn't have kids. Then also said my brother was her favorite. She loves my sister in law, but barely speaks to me or my children. So yeah, there's a lot of distance. But there are times when I still yearn for the parental approval. And I've cried quite a few times like this woman.

@@allisoncastle to be fair you are correct, “Dr Phil” is just a stage name he is not a licensed therapist of any kind. This is just a tv show, made entirely for profitability. That’s not cynical it’s true. I still enjoy most of the show tho, when his clearly desperately insecure wife comes on I have to stop watching...if your own wife is so insecure she is willing to put the most deadly substance known to man in her face, under the false hope of looking younger, he ain’t all that with the therapy now is he.
Honestly I was really irritated about the fact that he didn’t interrupt sooner especially with this case. He usually gets very frustrated at these types and she was the worst. The only reason why he didn’t is because his analysis was that mom went through abuse as a child or something like that and must be so broken to be saying these things to her child (the whole “people say awful things to other people because they have said it already a thousand times to themselves” thing) and he’s trying to get her to trust him so they can work further, but he probably stuck it to her behind closed doors at some point especially with that effing interrupting at the worst possible times that she does. He had all the receipts on mom, he knew there’s a screw or two loose there.
I wouldn’t even bother with her. Mother or not. She’s toxic in the worse way. Let her be miserable by herself. And move on.
Cutting off my narcissistic mother who said I was never abused "because her abuse was worse" who hated me and blamed me for coming into existence for ruining her life. Kiara needs to walk away from her narcissistic, horrible mother.

This makes me so sad, to know she has a mother just like mine. I have yet to see or speak to my birth giver in almost 2 years now because there is no fixing them. Life with toxic energy will never be a happy life.
Those texts aren’t the only toxic words that mother spoke to her daughter. The pain in the daughters voice you can tell her mother is just pure EVIL. Shame!!
A lot of girls in a psychiatric facility I went to would have mothers like this and would have unsupervised visitation. Every time they came back they would cut themselves get into fights and be placed in observation . The second they use some choice words about their gaslighting and abusive mother’s , the child would be demonized and guilt tripped because their mother gave birth to them. When a girl said she hated her mother , there was no benefit of the doubt given to her. This is the mom that wants you to be independent and get a job but the moment you do so she feels threatened and uses her martyr complex as a crutch to assert no matter how old their child is , because they birthed them, they are above reproach. They don’t want cordial respect, they want to be treated as a god fearing authority figure to keep their twisted since of control in check
I will never understand a woman automatically qualifying for sainthood the minute she becomes a mother. Like they suddenly become emotionally stable, well rounded human beings.

As a woman who has birthed two children, how is that mother so heartless to the loss of her only daughters late term loss!!!? the lack of empathy, and love is unbelievable!!!! My heart is breaking for the daughter. That mother is the most inconsiderate narcissistic toxic mother I’ve seen in a loooonnnnnnng time.
That poor girl needs to get as far away from this mother asap. The mother has serious issues and apparently always had but instead of getting help when she needed it and mellowing or winding down as she gets older she's winding up instead. She's just gotten too selfish and too far gone to see reason now. I wonder if Dr Phil was able to help. Somehow I think not. But then again, maybe he did.

As a 26 weeks pregnant woman I watched this and cried I feel so bad I emphasize with the daughter so much just from feeling my daughter kicked around in my stomach Ik I could never treat her remotely similar to this the mother is absolutely sick I send kiara healing energy hope she has time to truly grieve even though Ik the pain will never fully be gone and I hope she finds or has real unconditional love somewhere else since her own mother can’t provide shame on her just felt like I had to say this
First of all she treats all her children great her and her mom are fine Teresa that is my grandma has been sexually assaulted to times she has been abused and she has have got many Horrible things done to her she was never home with her children because she was working her but off to provide food for them she clothed them and everything

In ancient West African culture, hatred and negativity will impact a pregnancy, im not saying that's exactly what's happened here but as I listen to the story and how the mom verbally expressed death on her child, it's not the first time she's done it and unfortunately I believe the innocent child protected the mother and was called back to paradise. He'll be born into another family where he'll have time and space to grow in whatever his destiny was/is. As for the daughter, keep your other kids away from your mother and cut the cords for yourself. Evil will manifest and you should see it for what it is and bounce.

She is one of those is entitled parents who feel like their kids owe them everything. This is true kids owe a lot to their parents but the only problem is wanting to be paid back so much you feel like you are exploited. A parent should want their kid to succeed and give them words of encouragement because they have such an effect on how a child views themselves and children go out and become terrible human beings, broken or even legends based off the words of someone who has seen them at their weakest and raised them to the point they are at now.
Her problem is not seeing the weight of her words an even after that thinking she was right for doing so.
