One of the most revolutionary games of the 1980s. Super Mario Bros 1 has aged very well. Still fun to play, and I still have the cartridge (but I sadly don't have an NES). I like the SNES remaster a little bit more, but can't deny this is one of the best NES games around.

I remember playing this game with my grandfather along with duck hunt in the early 90"s when I was 3 going on 4 and that's what got me into video games

@@SpeedLimitTheGeococcyx I am NOT using Game Genie! We use save states on an emulator,yes, but no actual cheats like a game genie code.
Can you even imagine how hard it would be to cover up a no-collision cheat? Like people wouldn't notice right away? The mentioned part in this longplay is a recording hikup... 1 or 2 frames missing thats all.
@@SpeedLimitTheGeococcyx and I died a hundred times at least! But we always cut our longplays so the deaths wont end up in them.
There is a limit to how much can be on the screen and be active, so it's probably that. There was just a new speed run record that used that as a trick on one of the hammer throwing Bowsers. There is a video that goes in depth into that run and all the technical stuff if you were interested.
its also possible that he just got lucky with the hitboxes, the hammer hitboxes are really small apparently
