I could never get underneath that small ledge as Super/Superball Mario in 1-3. The only way I could ever access that part was to be small Mario. I've got two favorite enemies in this game. No, make that *SIX* favorite enemies. Chibido ("Goomba"-like enemy) Batadon (flying statues) Mekabon (robot who tosses its head, perhaps my favorite enemy of them all) Honen (fish skeletons) Suu (spiders that slowly slide down at Mario) Nyolin (stationary snake that spits fireballs, probably my 2nd favorite)
Version 1 and 2 with the 6 coins were the absolute best of all. All other versions after that, 3 and 4 were horrible, the graphics and sound and the themes were off. The end music awesome in both 1 and 2. Also, despite it being in black and white instead of color, the designers of the game at that time were geniuses. 😎😎❤️❤️
This looks like it's played off a Gameboy Pocket. I'm pretty sure it would have a basic color palette on it by default if played on a GBC. It does when played off the GBA for example

This is a fun lil game for sure. I picked up this and Kirby's Dreamland 1 cartridges for $10 CAD each
