this song is so heartbreaking, especially where you're in that place searching for that one time you were so in love, and suddenly you're left questioning what really was. The feeling is so big, sometimes feeling bigger than love itself, you just wanna scream and express your pain with such heat and profusion in order to just feel heard and maybe not feel as hurt or weighed down. She brings this about so beautifully, it heals as much as it hurts to remember what this was like.

Greatest comment on UA-cam by far! Exactly my thought! What's greater is the connection between two artists that are in two different genres. That's the power of music!
almost one year on from first hearing/seeing this it still has it`s initial power/magic. perfect bittersweet lyric. epic yet not over-blown production. and the hopeful rise to redemption. still a stone-cold classic in my book.

When I listen to Angel Olsen, I understand why people waited for hours just to see the Beatles walk off of a plane. Just to see her to know she's real. She is gift we are not worthy of.

This is one of the top 10 songs I've heard in my entire life. It never gets old. I've listened to it over a hundred times and I still feel something every single time.
This is probably crazy to say but I was totally obsessed with "my woman" that I completely ignored anything else released after. This past week I decided to check the other albums out and my mind is blown! Weird part of me ok with waiting for the other albums, almost like I was mentally preparing for this. Love it.
It's doesn't happen often, but her voice gives me the absolute shivers in the best way possible. I am going to make the pilgrimage in April to experience her in concert.

Those end shots of the horses on the beach make me want to cry from the beauty
Damn. This song was the entire narrative of my break up night in September 2019. Brilliant. Preach.
This is one of the top 10 songs I've heard in my entire life. It never gets old. I've listened to it over a hundred times and I still feel something every single time.
Oh my. And by the way: of course her voice and writing is astounding, but let's give it up for the musical arrangements and playing around her.
The production, the video, all involved made beautiful art!
Jherek Bischoff string arrangement.
Game composers too
5:09 this part makes me go absolutely feral
This is probably crazy to say but I was totally obsessed with "my woman" that I completely ignored anything else released after. This past week I decided to check the other albums out and my mind is blown!
Weird part of me ok with waiting for the other albums, almost like I was mentally preparing for this.
Love it.
I've never been waiting for a new album so eagerly!
This song is like bliss + misery. Blisery.
Angel exemplifies the reason the two words beautiful and talented are combined. Thank you for being you.
This album is going to be bonkers.
This song and video have such a compelling and chaotic energy I'm in love!!
I don’t have the emotional stamina for this album
Haha
Yeah I feel like I'm not ready.. Heavy music!
@@needsmoreclipping You don't have to.
I wasn't ready;( what an album
Funny, I feel that way about Adele. Love her, but I just can't do it most of the time.
It's doesn't happen often, but her voice gives me the absolute shivers in the best way possible. I am going to make the pilgrimage in April to experience her in concert.
I'm driving out to Asheville. When I get there I expect to see her singing from the mountaintops.
Lmao 😂
2024 Asheville is 2011 Portland
Wow My Woman was like my favorite album this decade and this song makes it seem like the next will live up to it.
Best track of 2019 for me. Astounding in every way.
