I love the 95 DTM content but THIS is the genre I've been praying for RaceRoom to do for a number of years. This is outstanding news, can't wait for December 10th!
Damn, I never expected to ever see those classic touring cars again in this modern age. I've been playing with them on AC using mods, but it's nice to see these return in an official manner. Giving RaceRoom a try...
I am completely back to RaceRoom since the awesome September update. Loving it in VR! Really hyped, because of the upcoming LFM integration. Great stuff!
Time to invest in race room. This is a game changer. Love the old Silverstone layout. Been messing with some BTCC mods on assetto corsa, croft, Thruxton and so on. This looks great.
If you want to invest: Buy the Premium Pack for 99 euros at the moment. You'll get the complete content once (!). If you buy the racing points in the website, you'll get a discount. It's about 75 Euros for the complete content. After black friday it's about 100 Euros - of you want to wait till the stw is coming. But I think, they will cost maximum amount of 25 euros with the new track - so it doesn't matter when you should buy the Complete Pack. 😅

Hell yeah. RaceRoom is doing it again! Great addition of the already big car park. Let's hope we get the Opel/Vauxhall Vectra with Uwe Alzen livery, so we can feel like Uwe Alzen and Christian Abt 1999 😎, maybe in a less scandalous manner than in RL. If you don't know, look up 'STW 1999 Nurburgring'. Even if you don't understand the German commentary, you will get the most most crazy and scandalous finale in German touring car history. So crazy that it was decided in court thanks to a spectator's video recording.
I got it last month and fell in love with handling, force feedback, classes and engine sounds. Coming from ACC, AC, Dirt Rally 1 and 2, and RBR. Back in the day I played Toca 1 and Colin McRae Rally 2 on the ancients wheel bases of that time. Noisy, ugly, clunky and absolutely not smooth 😅
@@Karvon88 Depends who you ask, if you want everything in the game, sure its a bit expensive. But still comparing it to other sims isnt that much more if you get all dlc+basegame. If you drive competitively and only focus on few classes, I think this model works just fine. For example I only have the starter pack +some random stuff like DTM23 and European tracks pack. In total all was like 40 ish euro so not bad at all. +If I wanna try something wacky I can just try any car. So yeah at least I would rather take this than having to buy whole dlc for a lot more when theres content I will never use🤷
@@real_Zuramaru Yep, but iRacing has offered for years a nice online experience (focused basically on online until a few years ago) that no one else offered, creating a good community (at least in terms of number of players). Raceroom didn't grown enough and many people because of FFB, physics or whatever the reason doesn't play RR. Seeying the amount of tracks and cars RR has it must be one of the TOP 2-3 simracing games but... there it is, ACC has 2,229 players online atm (steam), automobilista 471, raceroom 467... a lot of cars and tracks but many people and afford new cars/tracks (which are awesome btw) so it is so difficult to play online and enjoy the game as much as we should do with the amazing cars and tracks this game has. BTW this is my theory. Raceroom is the game I played the most (simracing) and despite I tested iRacing a few times, I never purchased cars/tracks, only rookie gaming, didn't like it at all. I guess RR would have much more success if they create a new GTR3 with a few categories such as this new touring class, WTCR, DTM 90s... and some other amazing cateogires Raceroom has (no more than 7-10 classess), a good ranked system online and develope a few DLCs a year. I'm playing RR lately (just came back from a year without touching it) and I don't really know why people don't play RR unless the purchasing model is not as friendly as purchase an Ultimate Assetto corsa version or ACC + any dlc.
I started watching your channel because of the AMS2 livestream you did a while ago. Now I watch you every week. Keep up the good work covering the simracing world. ❤
STW / BTCC war / ist einer meiner absoluten lieblings Motorsport klassen. So viele Hersteller, Motor und Anteibskonzepte mega geil und immer packende rennen. Raceroom wird definitiv wieder öfter gefahren.
I just recently got my hands on a 1997 mint conditioned A4 . Imagine the thrill now when I see R3E drops the news on the Hasseröder A4 gets in the game! Oh boy! I can't wait to race it!
Day 1 buy. Been waiting so long for a modern Sim to do these cars justice, and I think raceroom is one of the best sims for fwd tourers. Going to relive my TOCA childhood. Heres hoping they also add the ~92 season cars in a different class. Would love to see this class built up with other greats from the era: Ford mondeo, Nissan Primera, Renault Megane, etc..
The 05 Brock Volvo 850 skin I see there is a Group N production car from the 1994 Bathurst 12 Hour. Hopefully they also include the stunning red livery from the '96 Super Tourer!
We need more tracks too. Edit: i still play Race07 because of series like this and stcc. The variety of tracks is amazing too, thats why i can't uninstall it. This new RRR pack is an instant buy from me, please keep it coming.
Even as a German...I think full GTE grid (with C8 Corvette and Ford GTLM) would be much better! Or some mid 2000s stuff like Ferrari 575GTC, Maserati MC12, Lambo Murcielago.
Used Raceroom only since starting racing online, will always have full content and it just gets better. Great news for December with the tourers. Happy Racing all ❤
Hopefully this will kick-start a super touring trend. Why it has taken this long to get official super touring cars is a mystery but it's a welcome surprise.
Tried raceroom for the first ever time yday… maybe I need to give it a bit more time, but whilst I liked some of the DTM stuff, I didn’t quite click with it as much as RF2 AC ACC AMS2, will keep giving it a blast whilst all content is free
It's a nice update, sadly they didn't include the Primera, Mondeo, Laguna or 156, which were my favorite super tourers. Although I'm always reluctant to play Raceroom. Part of what I enjoy is painting my own pretty liveries, and I can't do that on this sim. I guess I'll try them out when they come out, but I'll remain loyal to VRC's ERC mod, until some more cars are added to this pack
Just downloading Raceroom to put it back on my PC just for the BTCC content. Not been on Raceroom for some time really hope they have or will soon have Thruxton as i love that track and its the only one ive ever driven in real life.
This is what they should have done all along, instead of trying to compete in the gt3 spec (call it what you will) Focus on weird quirky cars and circuits, and especially in fwd which is where raceroom reigns supreme. The battle against gt3/driver swaps/day night cycle is not winnable at all
I bought the premium pack a long time ago and I think the best option is now to delete my account and start a new one to buy the premium pack again :) (cheaper)
Looks like a good pack. I have been looking for old Touring car racing since LFM dropped it from the Assetto corsa races. I don't currently own race room. What is the multi player like, would there be difficulty finding races etc?
Have always loved driving in raceroom. But then struggle to get online races. Also I find it the least stable of all sims and I'm frequently getting errors, freezes and crashes. A shame and something I'm sure I could fix at my end. If I could figure out what it is about my computer that does not like r3e.
You can have good fun with them in most classes and on many tracks. Sometimes they have a weak spot on some corners and when you brake too early or miss the ideal line they will hit you from behind. But its on a good level overall. -Michel
@@OverTake_gg They are pretty good to race and quite competitive, although lack some visual detail re: suspension, body roll etc. and the opponent list feature is something other sims desperately need. However there seems to be some scoring issues, particularly with multiclass racing where they get lapped. It seems the game will let them continue driving until they finish the specified distance rather than ending the race, so those cars will pass you at full speed on your cooldown lap and are scored as finishing several minutes behind. Game also grids classes separately according to some ranking of their capabilities which is not adjustable, doesn't account for different circuits and seemingly hasn't been maintained properly given all the new content and physics revisions over years. If these small issues were addressed, RaceRoom would have truly viable and competitive 100-car offline racing at the Nordschleife which is something no other sim on the market could touch.
Is it me or is the track limit system in raceroom completely wrong? You can't touch the curbs with the outside wheels anymore, like at 5:29. Is this supposed to be realistic? I don't think so.
If the inner tyres are on the asphalt and the external on curbs/beyond white line that's fine. As soon as the inner tyres are beyond the white line as well that's considered a cut and lap time ignored. It literally says in the loading screens
@@pierluigivinci6777 probably because the track isn't fully release ready yet. As far as i know, the limits aren't placed by hand and sometimes need some tweaking afterwards, so i guess everything will be fine on release i guess
