I feel like the direct competitor of the xa10 are the canon m10 and sony a5000. In my opinion, the photos taken with fuji are always sharper. Especially since the target market of this camera are phone users. The down side to it is that it is not touch screen, canon m10 already is. It's easier to point at the screen where you'd want it to focus. Other than that, I have been using it for 2 months and it has not disappointed. But i agree, videos are not so good using this camera. I'm more into photography so it really does not bother me.
I've had my X-A10 for 3 years now, and around 10k pictures later, I can confidently say it holds up to its usage. Picture quality is sharp and quite remarkable for its price point, along with its most useful function being its swivel screen. However, I'd strongly recommend against purchasing one for the long term. When they meant entry-level, they really do mean it. Within my first year of use, I've already grown past the limitations of the camera itself, with it lacking a viewfinder, and flash port and a mic jack being its biggest flaws. Id say if you're looking for a long term camera, a Fujifilm x-t2000 is your best bet.

getting the fujiflim xa10 with USD$ 350 in malaysia, bought online but item not receive yet. for me , price is one of the main factor for me to jump into mirrorless camera, especially in entry level budget. by the way, thanks for the xa10 review.

They only used the camera 4 times last 2019 when she bought it, and it was rarely used starting from 2020 because of the pandemic. I would like to humbly seek advice and help from you guys who are cam techy about this cameea if I should buy it? I am planning to use it for school. And I also take photos, and videos and gain some money from it as a source of income as a student and been using phone since then. Would this be worth it for me to buy it and use it to take photos and videos of others to gain some money? Additionally, I am part of our school publication and I wanted to use it there too. Pic is ok, but the video is bad. I just got one, if you just use it for pictures on your school page then will be fine. Before you bought it, remember to check it and make sure that its function is good.

You just have to extend the screen all the way after you flip it and then video will flip.
