For a secret society as big and well spread as the foundation, there will obviously be cases of mishandling or cruelty just as there are cases of underestimating the true danger of some anomalies.

The SCP Foundation supposedly has an ethics commission. You have to wonder where they are sometimes. You'd also think the SCP Foundation would come to the realization that showing some kind of compassion would probably get them further with their testing with some subjects, even if they don't really care about them as living beings. Understanding her behavior as well as her physical makeup makes sense too.
I still very much prefer the old version with the containment procedure debrief/documentation (with the accompanying soundtrack), but I appreciate you're trying to put a different narrative spin on this scp and labelling it as separate instead of replacing. Hope to see debriefs of the more recent scps you covered. Even 682.

I get that the SCP Foundation is trying to understand the supernatural and anomalous, but that doesn't justify these cruel experiments done on her. She may not be human, but she's still a living being with the same level of intelligence, curiosity and empathy as Humans.
honestly given how the modern foundation is you can bet that if this happened today they would be far kinder to such an anomally... hell they ARE probably being kinder to it now, just not being recorded due to the actions of past staff... they probably keep this story up as a warning on what NOT to due, especially with the "just another murder monster" event that proved not everything can be solved by testing it cruelly and shoving it in a box...

Well lucky for you, this incident was one of the reasons the SCP Foundation ethics committee was formed and the head researcher was punished for the cruel actions!
I know the SCP foundation is supposed to be cold and indifferent, since they are mainly scientists attempting to study and contain anomalies. And for good reason, often. But this old foundation entry really shows that being cruel to the anomalies is quite possibly one of the dumbest things you can do. You don't know the capabilities of these, often-godlike creatures and objects. And messing with them is most certainly going to lead to either death, dismemberment or worse.
This is a neat remake/sequel to the old 054 video from a while back. That one was a little wholesome, this one shows the disturbing story of 054, not so wholesome. Such a nice creature, but so, so mistreated by the foundation.
This is a clear textbook example of the SCP Foundation taking things to the unnecessary extreme, And torturing a completely innocent and harmless anomaly for the shear sake of learning about it.

This just proves that the foundation is cold and sometimes cruel. The Girl literally did nothing wrong and yet they trap her snap her and zap her and poison her until she lost her temper. One researcher did something stupid and (Spoilers: scp-1337 hitchhiker was safe and anyone passing by could just give her a ride and get her red jacket to return it to her parents and then a researcher killed her parents and destroyed the home and now she is vengeful and kills anyone who doesn't pick her up). That's how she turned into a Euclid class. If something is safe and the scp isn't hurting anyone, don't provoke it and make it angry or else. Just understand it and listen and don't torture it. Let it be. Like I said before.
Fire the researcher in charge of those experiments and find a way to repair relationships, then the Foundation can try asking the water Nymph for information, maybe even promote her to an agent.
This is one of the saddest SCP stories I know of. A benevolent SCP like the water nymph treated like this is pure heartbreaking. The foundation is supposed to be cold not cruel. I think sometimes they don't follow this principle.

Scp 054 is one of my personal favorites; it shows how scp 054 isn’t a evil scp though still has emotions and can get angry.

Poor thing. Reminds me of the teleporting chair which a different group captured and gave PTSD. Now the SCP foundation does the same thing, finds a harmless SCP and torments it till it becomes hostile

This just proves that the foundation is cold and sometimes cruel. The Girl literally did nothing wrong and yet they trap her snap her and zap her and poison her until she lost her temper. The foundation can turn anything into a monster if they treat it the wrong way. They should treat her like a friend and not a foe. Down for another example.👇
Example being scp-1337 The hitchhiker. One researcher did something stupid and (Spoilers: scp-1337 hitchhiker was safe and anyone passing by could just give her a ride and get her red jacket to return it to her parents and then a researcher killed her parents and destroyed the home and now she is vengeful and kills anyone who doesn't pick her up). That's how she turned into a Euclid class. If something is safe and the scp isn't hurting anyone, don't provoke it and make it angry or else. Just understand it and listen and don't torture it. Let it be. Like I said before.

Fire the researcher in charge of those experiments and find a way to repair relationships, then the Foundation can try asking the water Nymph for information, maybe even promote her to an agent.
This is one of the saddest SCP stories I know of. A benevolent SCP like the water nymph treated like this is pure heartbreaking. The foundation is supposed to be cold not cruel. I think sometimes they don't follow this principle.
