Dr Bob brings you SCP Foundation Safe Class object, SCP-446 Human Mannequin Animation.
SCP-446 in its normal state appears to be a Caucasian female, early twenties, brown hair, unusually bright blue eyes, and light skin with a tattoo of the Marshall, Carter and Dark logo on its lower back. SCP 446 is normally stored lying on its back inside a long aluminum box with a hinged lid. SCP446 generally does not move without prompting of some kind, although its eyes will follow the nearest person and it will make eye contact if possible.

There's a number of things the Foundation should've done to help her. They could've gotten a psychic to read her mind, given her a pen to write a message, or used SCP-978 the Desire Camera to see what she wanted.
I imagine the box in her brain would cause any tests like that to end in failure. Giving her a pen wouldn’t work as she mostly can’t move. SCP-978 might work in theory, but cross testing SCPs is usually not a good idea unless there’s a valid reason. If an SCP could be safely stored in a box, why bother seeing if it’s happy there?
Yeah, with some of these SCP files it feels like the writers never put in enough testing lore that would make sense.
Or they put in too much testing like with that puppy killing game.

Eh, the SCP's mission is Secure, Contain, Protect. There's really no reason to risk something like that for an SCP which they've categorized as "Safe". There's no guarantee what will happen to two SCPs when they come into contact, and it could easily make one or both SCPs harder to contain or cause some other undesirable effect.
Putting everything else to the side for a bit, I find it interesting that Dr. Bob took both the Human Mannequin and Water Nymph to have a small little party outside, it was very sweet, considering their stories

The jumpsuit thing is very interesting. Obviously she's designed to do whatever you expect her to do. They put her in a prisoner's jumpsuit so she started acting like a prisoner. But that's what she is. So she started acting like herself.

How can you be so sure she hated the orange jumpsuit? MC&D basically made her a slave doll and they implied she would get her life back after she finished paying off her debt working as a doll. What if the dresses she's wearing is her "doll" clothes which means when she's put into any other type of clothing, like the jumpsuit for example, she regains partial control of her body because she is no longer "on duty" or actively working.
The jumpsuit gives her some free will back as she's not actively working to pay off her debt. The real reason she was begging was because she was trying to say "please find a cure, please fix me" praying they would find out she was an actual human, she tried to show emotion to let them know she is more than a doll, she is a living human being not some hyper-realistic non-sentient artificial doll... Changing her clothes gave her some free will back and she used that limited free will trying to show them she was alive, instead they tucked her back into the dress misunderstanding what she was begging for, she didn't want the dress, the dress takes her individuality away and instead she wanted freedom.
That last shot with SCP-054 and SCP-446 brings a serious smile to my face!

Hm... Since D-Class personnel are technically prisoners, I wonder if the same reaction would occur if 446 were to be dressed in various prison outfits and jumpsuits. If so, my personal theory is that the clothes remind her of her imprisonment. Something so deeply engraved into her mind that it gives her part of her lucidity back. This could also explain why her mouth started moving during the surgical examination: The memory of how she got turned into what she is now, is shown to her again.

This kind of SCP is more stomach churning to me than world-ending ones. I guess it really aims at the compassion/empathy part of my brain, but what 446 went through will give me more nightmares than any wold destroyer scp.
I mean, it's probably because her situation is similar to the situation of many women and men in human trafficking. SCPs like this are my favorite since they give light to real world issues. Helps people get educated more and help them be motivation do educate themselves on the dark sides of the world. Would help make the place safer if more people knew things.

There something's terrifying to accidents that can occur frequently to the common people, rather than ones that occurs every millenias.
God damn that would be horrifying. Such a terrible fate. I wonder how long 466 will be a mannequin and will martial Carter and dart have to do something to free her from her condition. Being conscious but unable to do anything would be so heart breaking.

I have strong suspicion that her "friend" sold her into slavery and it is entirely possible that they lied to her about the price of that champange.
Having said that she reminds me of the mannequins in Skyrim that can do some really wierd things since they are actually handled as npc's. Sometimes loading a room with mannequins in it and if the modcount is high they get some free time to do things like move around before the script that freeze them in place are actually activated.
I felt like it was written with the backdrop of human trafficking. Intentionally putting people in untenable circumstances, and then forcing them to sell themselves to pay off some "debt," is a common way for them to do it.

Yeah walking into a place and the mannequins turning to me was the scaryist fucking thing to happen to me in skyrim. It is embeded in my mind more then most horror stuff.
before I had a mod conflict that caused mannequins to turn into followers. which meant that when I loaded a room all of a sudden I had 20 mannequins chasing me. that was a terrifying fucking discovery.

I have a theory,the reason why it/she stood up in a begging position after being put in D-Class clothing is because the businessman did not program her to have d-class clothing on since it was intended for the rich.Thus whatever sensors are in her don't recognize the clothing, resulting in either her consciousness reacting to partial freedom,or her programming glitched when reacting to it.
I reckon that she suit kept her concious in the box, and hence she wanted it removed.

@@finnsstories5256 I think the box "turns her off", hence she feels like she only wakes up for short moments when people take her out. I think that leaving her with the D-Class suit on stops her from turning off, and hence she remained awake in the dark and small box. This is why I think she was "begging" for them to remove the D-Class suit.
That makes sense, when she is out, it seems like she is sentient in some way, so when her sensors are messed with, while being turned off or "asleep" if we could call it that, she gains some greater freedom while at the same time being compelled to sleep. Wonder what would happen if she was outside her box with D Class clothes?
Fellow researchers I have an even more....disquieting theory. What are D-class personnel, besides being a valuable resource to the foundation, they are (for the most part) death row inmates...prisoners. Why would the box she comes in have measurements for clothing, to “dress her up”. I propose that her strange reaction was caused by the change of clothes, not because it messed anything up but quite the opposite.
She was acting like a scared, handcuffed criminal, just like how she was dressed. It is my belief that her manners and actions change depending on how she is dressed. For whatever....desires those who have purchased her in the past may of had.
Considering all that 446 has gone through, you'd thought that the foundation would try and find a way to free her of this endless prison she's endured.
Well, their intended mission statement is to protect humanity from the SCPs, not to cure the SCPs. They likely have their hands full with other stuff, so trying to find some way to help this woman is at the bottom of their list.
Same goes for instance with SCP-203.
I like to think of the SCP leadership as the cold, science-y types who don't really have much empathy and care mostly about acquiring knowledge.
Hopefully they would. But given that the leaders of the SCP Foundation are sometimes just as cruel and evil as Marshall Carter and Dark, that isn't gonna happen anytime soon
For a second, I mistook this one for 847. I was expecting fits of violent anti-female rage from this one, but I was surprised with the backstory and realization that I mixed them up. Mannequin SCPs are just straight up weird. I wonder how 446 and 847 would interact, since 446 isn't a cadaver.

The added backstory is very nice! It really makes you feel compassion for an otherwise very short SCP.
Also - if you were worried that she was sold for more.... scary and icky... purposes, the original writing states that the metal plates block all of her openings. ALL of them.

@@Deadpool-ts3tq well honestly after seeing Dr.Bob's stuff, it is quite hard to get excited for The Rubber's videos.... If the scp isn't interesting enough by itself, they sadly can't compensate with their humoristic approach (if we can call it that way).
I've never watched an SCP explained video but just from the thumbnails and previews they don't genuinely seem interested in the SCP fandom, just cash grabbing off it since it's popular. Their animations look so cheap as well

There most likely are. She was set up by the guy she met to be put into that fate of hers. So MC&D most likely does this a lot to any poor soul they can. I doubt they are all the same though. MC&D wouldn't make much money if they made all of their dolls mannequins only. There's some who probably are used for things like jobs such as maids, cooks, etc. And others who are put to work in a more gruesome and disturbing way.
Gosh I got recommend two scp videos today when I just came home tired, sheesh man best day.
I think that the clothing is also part of what keeps her hostage. And wearing regular clothes kind of started to break the spell she's under...perhaps they should try keeping her in regular clothing for an extended period. They'll probably see that she will slowly become less a doll and more sapient.

I can imagine there are researchers that are secretly researching Foundation Staff who display anamolous traits. Some researcher is confused as to how Dr. Bob whose face cannot be seen is shown to interact with other anomalies yet display little negative side effects from them and shown to be extremely capable at handling dangerous ones

What a horrible fate. A conscious human mannequin. And you know the horrible people that owned her probably used her for even worse things, as well. And when she was dissected, you have to wonder if she could feel it the whole time, unable to scream. It may be a small and less known spc, but it's still a unique and thought provoking kind of horrifying.

Y'know, i always loved to watch these "pre-stories" of different television shows like Supernatural the most. Where it's not about the main-plot but about the daylie life and the "normal days".. Those lesser known stories from the archives feel exactly like that. I'm glad SCP-76921, also known as "Doctor Bob", decided to focus on them. Thank you.

Dr bob must be an anomaly. He has survived situations which no human should be able to. And now he has proven he may have reality warping abilities, he made an SCP which couldn’t talk, talk.
I get it now. The reason no SCP can kill Dr Bob is because no SCP wants to. He treats them with actual respect, something many of them havent experienced in years if ever.

This female SCP is definitely one of the Safe Class Objects that once was a living, breathing human. From gambling for a living to a tragedy for a mysterious fate that made her an SCP. This figure should never, ever be introduced to SCP-847 a.k.a The Mannequin. But if SCP-446 is introduced to SCP-049 a.k.a The Plague Doctor, who knows what might happen to her. However, if of course, SCP-446 is introduced to any other Safe Class Objects, for example; like SCP-054 a.k.a The Water Nymph or SCP-131 a.k.a The Eye Pods or SCP-999 a.k.a The Tickle Monster or even SCP-343 a.k.a God, it could be a more accurate description. Call it a main plot streak if you want to.

This isn't colliding with the fetish community. This is an scp trying to show light to real world situations of human trafficking. A few scps are like this, like the teenage succubus. It was sad they changed her story because it put into light real world issues. Issues that everyone needs to know and learn about so we can better keep ourselves safe.

SO what happens when her time as a mannequin runs out? Will she spontaneously return to a normal human? Or would M, C, & D have to return her to normal themselves, an unlikely outcome now that she is in SCP Foundation custody? Or was the possibility to being returned to a normal human after a certain time a complete lie to begin with?

Based on the thumbnail, I thought this was going to be a creepy and/or gross SCP like SCP-847, the mannequin. Upon watching the video however, the story behind SCP-446 is just tragic. MCD Lt. turned into a slave who can't fight back yet still experiences everything that's happening to her. Even worse, the only time she can move on her own is whenever someone dresses her like a prisoner or slave. It's just awful. Thankfully, we have SCP personnel like Dr. Bob to make her life more bearable.
this is sad, but its not as depressing as SCP 231 - the seven brides.
that is the most heart breaking story i've heard. and personally made me despite all of SCP because a real person wrote it.

This isn’t the most disturbing thing I’ve seen (don’t ask) but for some reason the dissection part freaked me out on a human instinct level that made my blood pressure drop
Amazing content as always Dr. Bob, your narration pace and tone continues to perfectly ride the line between the foundation's matter-of-fact scientific coldness mixed with the somehow surviving warmth of an empathic person telling a story, always a pleasure to listen and the animations have such a unique feel to them that feels incredibly genuine, as though a lot of love was put in rather than just cobbling together pre-made assets to mass produce, and it's very much appreciated! Keep up the good work!!

As far as containment procedures, leaving her in the box seems like a safe course of action, but arguably an immoral or wasteful one...
i mean, if the foundation didnt view her as alive then surely her tracking eyes could be useful for containment of sight-based scps, such as 173. She may only track humans, but, set in the corner of the room there's not really a place she could be looking where 173 wouldnt be in her peripheral vision? Worth a cross-test, could make the cleanup days a little safer.
Of course, if she is seen as alive/sentient, then leaving her sat with a TV on for her (With subtitles) seems a touch less cruel.
Either way, it's the coverage of these lesser known and non-world-destroying SCPs that leaves a lot of interesting possibilities to consider rather than just a 9876th attempt to kill a lizard xD
