Both void gods and Naaru are willing to force their decisions on their "followers", and sometimes force those decisions even on those, who are not willing to serve(Like Xe'ra tried on Illidan). But their purpose isn't to destroy everything, nor enslave world souls like Sargeras and TBL tried(and at least on Argus succeeded). Their MAIN goal is to eliminate one another(void eliminates light or light eliminates void) through any means necessary.

To be honest i like how this turned out to be . Shylvanas isnt good but not bad . What did we expect from her . She never could control her life and became undead out of her control just to be judged by that in the after life for all eternity . Nothing she said made sense. I dont get where shes getting this notion that no one has ever had free will. So many events of warcraft have happened as a direct result of a character making a choice. If shes talking about being forever damned simply because she was turned into an undead, than that is the only point of hers anyway can agree with. But I dont remember nor do I know whether or not it is a fact that a person risen from the dead is forever damned to the maw (hell) no if ands or buts. If that isnt the case, then her entire point is completely incorrect.

'Crown of Light' would more accurately refer to Anduin, and it definitely seems like his connection to the Light (even in the Maw) is pivotal to the Jailer's plan in some way Theory time. You know how they introduced the concept of a light undead with Calia then... just kind of left it there? Well I think this is why. It's implied that the Light offers a more 'complete' rebirth, and the Jailer wants to use that to reach Azeroth. Tl;dr he wants Anduin to 'resurrect' him in the world of the living so he can claim the worldsoul and use its power to reformat the cosmos

I don't think there's motion capture involved, I think it was animated by hand. Nevertheless, it is incredible and a clear step up from previous cinematics.
This is pretty interesting tbh. Sylvanas seems to want to convince Anduin that what she's doing is the best for everyone. Until now I wouldn't have thought she would have given two shits about that. Maybe they really are going to have her pull a heel-face turn later this expansion.
I hope not that would be cheesy AF and considering the WoW story for the past 2 expacs it would also be pretty fucking cringe to have Sylvannas be simultaneously the smartest, most cunning character and also the Savior of the entire universe. I'm puking a bit just thinking about it

I'm just saying this is the first time she's even tried to explain herself and we're getting a bit more insight into what has driven her actions for the last five expansions. If it turns out she's had everybody, including the Jailer, fooled this entire time then I don't really see what's so bad about that. I think the more likely option is that Anduin will end up being right and she'll realize the Jailer doesn't want the same things she does and turn on him. Either way is better than "and then Sylvanas was a dumb idiot who turned evil and died like every other baddie".

To me, simply rehashing her as yet another one-dimensional mustache-twirling villain and then throwing her character away as a punching bag for loot in a raid is far more cheesy and cliche. This gives us some long-awaited insights into her motives. Sure, it’s been suspected this is why she allied with the Jailer, but to hear it from her own lips changes everything and sets the stage for something greater, imho.
Yah but even if she has reason. If she doesn't get punished for all her wrongs, that's just a stupid message. I like the different perspectives, that's what made Thanos a good villain. Doesn't mean we forgive or let their previous actions slide.
He seems to have brought 5 of Azeroth's leaders to meet with Sylvanas. I think it's some greater cosmological stuff going on, cause Anduin represents Light, if you stretch things a little bit, you can link Baine to Life, Jaina to Order, Tyrande to Shadow, Sylvanas of course to Death and Thrall to Chaos. If they ever formed a council, they would be much better leaders to these cosmic forces than what we have now.

After the let down that nzoth was, I'd welcome with open arms the chance to see our characters be bamboozeled in a larger scale than rivendreth so that our accomplishments in this expac turn into hinderances later on once we realize we've been duped. Anything but being given a macguffin at the eleventh hour and laser beam the end boss...again, only to struggle against murlocs in the first zone of the next patch..again. Love or hate her, she does have a point especially in the afterlife. Elune is a prime example of this she didn't save the Night Elves from being killed by Sylvanas or saving them (well at least most of them) from going to The Maw and they worship her non-stop.
In no setting deities just jump down to save their followers every time. And NOBODY could stop souls from going to the Maw, not Covenants, no Arbiter, not Light nor Void.

I think I know what Sylvanas and the Jailer are planning. In the shadowlands, the dead there hate and are effected by the light and the void. We see how the light screws with the denizens of revendeath, and we've heard other NPCs in shadowland showing distain for both the light and void, suggesting it having a damaging effect on the realms of death. Anduin channels the light, as a priest/paladin whatever he is. What if their plan is to mentally break Anduin to be a sleeper agent for them, and have him released to Oribos, only to control him when stood before the Arbiter, and unleash his holy magics against her, killing her. Then without her the Jailer will ovetake Oribos and claim the shadowlands as his own.
I think, for real, that Sylvanas is loosing touch with Artha's Curse. That's is resonating with the little piece of her that stayed pure and conscientious, and this is changing her. I really believe this is her plan since she broke the Crown. She wanted to hunt Arthas. She knows, he's in the Shadowlands, but where? The Jailer seen to be just a tool for her schemes.
She has to, HAS TO understand the Jailer does not hold her ideals. Right? And the moment he's had his use of her she'll be cast away, right? Is trying for an 'apprentice' for when she makes her move against the Jailer?
Right? I get that we'll never get a whole movie that looks like the pre-rendered but just this with a smidge more polish is enough for show/movie quality.
Thinking of it, fate might be written in the WOW universe, I mean the Old Gods and others void forces aka I'llGynoth and N'zoth have made presumed predictions on what is going to happen next through riddles.

I have a feeling that the rune carver is really the lich king. or the spirit inside the helmet that posses whoever wears it. Think about it. This entity is chained like no other, surrounded by runes .. and his eyes look just like when they were the mask. also his memories removed surely to keep him in check.. We are helping the real lich king escape in other to gain power.. ultimately he is the one that created frost mourn and the helmet of ice crown.. I mean obviously he is powerfull if he can create a legendary at will.
I smell that she is not going to be a baddie by the end and probably join us when she discovers that, surprise surprise, the Jailer has been using her all this time. Denathrius will also probably find out that he's also just a tool to be disposed off once he's no longer useful, but he's probably gonna die anyways.

The Jailer is still a terrible villain but you've got to give SL credit for doing some of the first "half-cutscenes" of this quality. Cutscenes that aren't pre-rendered and thus can have things like your player in them while still having that cutscene-quality facial animation.

Perhaps in serving him helps her in another means All these series of events were going to come forth with or without her assistance if she wants to do some kind of redemption she would be in a better position where she is now to figure out who the jailer's allies are and what weapons he's planning to use. sylvanas is probably aiming for a role of illidan you got to do a lot of dark deeds to do something heroic in the end perhaps.

This is pretty interesting tbh. Sylvanas seems to want to convince Anduin that what she's doing is the best for everyone. Until now I wouldn't have thought she would have given two shits about that. Maybe they really are going to have her pull a heel-face turn later this expansion.

I'm just saying this is the first time she's even tried to explain herself and we're getting a bit more insight into what has driven her actions for the last five expansions. If it turns out she's had everybody, including the Jailer, fooled this entire time then I don't really see what's so bad about that. I think the more likely option is that Anduin will end up being right and she'll realize the Jailer doesn't want the same things she does and turn on him. Either way is better than "and then Sylvanas was a dumb idiot who turned evil and died like every other baddie".

To me, simply rehashing her as yet another one-dimensional mustache-twirling villain and then throwing her character away as a punching bag for loot in a raid is far more cheesy and cliche.
This gives us some long-awaited insights into her motives. Sure, it’s been suspected this is why she allied with the Jailer, but to hear it from her own lips changes everything and sets the stage for something greater, imho.
Yah but even if she has reason. If she doesn't get punished for all her wrongs, that's just a stupid message. I like the different perspectives, that's what made Thanos a good villain. Doesn't mean we forgive or let their previous actions slide.

Well... Anduin is able to Cast the Power of the light inside the maw. That means his Connections to the light must be incredible strong.
He seems to have brought 5 of Azeroth's leaders to meet with Sylvanas. I think it's some greater cosmological stuff going on, cause Anduin represents Light, if you stretch things a little bit, you can link Baine to Life, Jaina to Order, Tyrande to Shadow, Sylvanas of course to Death and Thrall to Chaos. If they ever formed a council, they would be much better leaders to these cosmic forces than what we have now.

I think I know what Sylvanas and the Jailer are planning.
In the shadowlands, the dead there hate and are effected by the light and the void. We see how the light screws with the denizens of revendeath, and we've heard other NPCs in shadowland showing distain for both the light and void, suggesting it having a damaging effect on the realms of death.
Anduin channels the light, as a priest/paladin whatever he is.
What if their plan is to mentally break Anduin to be a sleeper agent for them, and have him released to Oribos, only to control him when stood before the Arbiter, and unleash his holy magics against her, killing her.
Then without her the Jailer will ovetake Oribos and claim the shadowlands as his own.

I think, for real, that Sylvanas is loosing touch with Artha's Curse. That's is resonating with the little piece of her that stayed pure and conscientious, and this is changing her. I really believe this is her plan since she broke the Crown. She wanted to hunt Arthas. She knows, he's in the Shadowlands, but where? The Jailer seen to be just a tool for her schemes.

I have a feeling that the rune carver is really the lich king. or the spirit inside the helmet that posses whoever wears it.

The Jailer is still a terrible villain but you've got to give SL credit for doing some of the first "half-cutscenes" of this quality. Cutscenes that aren't pre-rendered and thus can have things like your player in them while still having that cutscene-quality facial animation.
