Risen Terminators - Dark Angels terminator squad Show and Tell

- I've been building some Dark Angels terminators for a while now from various Terminator kits, one of them the new Indomitus kit. Here's a show and tell of the squad so far! Most of these would be Risen in the lore, stuck in the warp or distant parts of the galaxy for a long time and having to cobble together their armour with what they can find or scavenge. This is also why their paint scheme is somewhere in between 30k and 40k: not quite black and red, but not quite green either.
The main attraction for this video are two Dark Angel Risen; one in Cataphractii armour, the other in a combination of cataphractii, tartaros and whatever else I could get my hands on :)
Enjoy!

I started with 5th edition and these really capture the vibe of that era of art work when the marines felt baroque and old with a lot of character.
@@graefx yeah there was some very cool artwork of proper gothic marines in that edition as well! Would love gw to bring that back at some point…
@@dehoofdwerker I have hope. GW has been really shiny and plain with it's depiction of 40k in general, but everything from Space Marine 2 has brought back the Gothic and esoteric aesthetics that I love. Maybe the strong reaction will make GW want to bring some of that to the forefront and capitalize
@@graefx fingers crossed! And if not, we’ll just make do with our conversions and kitbashes 😊
The obtrusive thoughts to cover everything in candles, cables, and scrolls.
@@graefx lean in to them! It’s the only way!
Your sculpting work is incredible!
@@Megalordsalmon many thanks! 👍👍
Such an awesome set of dudes, I remember seeing the videos for the librarian.
Many thanks!
Stupendous work, a real treat to see these!
@@Orkgasmatron thank you!
they really look amazing
@@deividgarmar thank you!
Metal as fuck. Feels very much like the 3rd. Edition rulebook cover, but with Dark Angels terminators instead of Black Templar tacticals.
@@nekrataali many thanks! That was exactly the look I was trying to go for, so that’s some great praise! 👍👍
The Librarian looks so compelling for an Ultramarine Tyranid Hunter
Yes it sure is! It's based on the old McVey works of the Tyranid Hunters, so there you go 😁
I really like that chaplain a lot.
Thank you!
With such skills, I think, you will turn anything into a masterpiece!
I think you could buy a set of plastic cowboys and they will become the best Terminator squad ever.
@@rina-ehre thank you very much! And is that a challenge? 😊😊😊
White armor with gold trim really makes me want to build and paint some Hospitallers.
@@tiberiumnp8030 it’s such a heavy metal look. I based the color scheme on the Dark Millennium cover dude 😊
Wow...stunning.
@@richardbradley2335 many thanks!
Those paint jobs look great.
many thanks!
@@dehoofdwerker keep on doing what your doing. 💪

Your the best at these conversions mate , be nice to see some more heresy marines so many to choose from ! the crew of the sisypheum , the riven hound , bjorn before he is a dreddy , arkam land and Zephon .
@@jimzo1985 many thanks! Yes arkham land would be awesome, or some of the old admech characters. Who knows where this will be going! 😊👍👍👍
Your painting is getting better and better, but you clearly excel at the sculpting part. Have you ever thought about leaving them unpainted to be able to show of your sculpting and conversion work? For display I mean.
@Wijkert many thanks! Yeah painting really isn’t the part I’m interested in, which makes it quite hard to focus and spend too much time on it. I always take high quality photos of the finished sculpts before painting too, they’re all up on my website. I do like them better painted though … 😊
Keep on going.
Sure will, thanks! 👍
