Polls that show Trump this far ahead are pretty clear. Biden needs to win the popular vote by several points to win the electoral college. Trump ahead by this much (or just even) is insurmountable barring some drastic change.
Not true. Most of the popular vote advantage comes from California. The Rust Belt is stagnant. If CA goes redder but remains solid blue that would upend this theory. See the midterms. NY and CA had redder districts, but Dems still won the swing state elections.

Conspiracy theory time: Joe stayed in to compel Trump to make a lazy vp pick, and now will drop out once Trump picked someone who will help him “win more” if he’s up, but not necessarily “win” it he’s down.
I think that he was probably allowed to stay in for that basic reason, and to allow time for the necessary back room deals to find a suitable replacement. I think Bernie has a decent chance of being the nominee, because I don't know there's anybody else that could win against Trump in this election.

Yeah, sort of. Mainly because almost all polls agree (or are worse) AND for the last 20 years polls have underestimated the GOP vote (for some reason) .

@@Sergeant_Camacho It's been a while, but weren't the 2016 polls correct? From what I remember the results were consistent with polling, it's just that the states that were at play broke in Trump's favor, but still within the margin of error.

My parents have been divorced for 30 years. My mom's family watches MSNBC and is completely brainwashed. They will all vote Biden It is a trip. My dad's family leans independent conservative. They are all voting Trump but for different reasons. None of them seem brainwashed.

I think that he was probably allowed to stay in for that basic reason, and to allow time for the necessary back room deals to find a suitable replacement. I think Bernie has a decent chance of being the nominee, because I don't know there's anybody else that could win against Trump in this election.

But if he is switched out, i’d guess that Kamyla will be the nominee and she’ll pick one of the true Dem favorites to be her vp (Whitmer, Newsom, Buttigieg). And then all we need is for Obama to become Kamyla’s pr coach and I think she’d prob beat Trump (maybe 60% chance).
