Her position here was kind of cringey. And oddly personal and irrational. Yes inconsistent statements from RFK yes a somewhat checkered past. Which politician doesn’t have these things? There is another aspect of this and that is analyzing how effective going through with the election fully independent vs pivoting to try and make your political goals happen.
If anything you could make the case that rfk is making a more principled stand FOR THE ISSUES HE CARES MOST ABOUT, instead of power for its own sake.
BP totally missed this angle and their analysis is really disappointing here.

I’m so disappointed in how far BP has gotten from their roots. In their constant attempt to be seen and respected as a legitimate news program, they have conformed their perspectives to be as mainstream as all the others. Rarely do they have a disruptive take or a perspective we can’t get other places, it’s all been stripped down and it’s incredibly disappointing. RFK's 35 or so minute address to the nation was one of the most impactful speeches I've ever heard. It's a shame most people won't ACTUALLY hear the uncensored version for themselves. Also, I felt he very clearly reasoned out his decision in that speech if you really watched it in its entirety.

Fair enough. I volunteered for Bernie both times and am considering voting for Bobby because at least he’s staying in the race to allow his supporters to vote for him instead of dropping us like a lead weight like Bernie did. Maybe there’s enough of us to get the 5% needed for a 3rd party.

Please don't call yourself a "Bernie Bro". Unless your actually confessing to being one of the microscopic minority of chauvinists...otherwise that is *their term* the words they used to insinuate the whole Bernie-or-Bust movement was just a bunch of bigots. The overwhelming majority of us weren't. So don't call yourself, or us, that.

For years and several elections I've heard these people complain about politicians dropping out of races without using any of their leverage for actual change. I'm really proud of RFK for doing exactly that and I'm really frustrated that Krystal is so dense that she can't give credit where credit is due. The fact that he reached out to the Harris campaign and gave them a chance to come to the negotiating table to enact policy that he sees as absolutely dire for the world, and this current place and time that we find ourselves in, and they refused him, has nothing to do with party lines and everything to do with priorities. If Trump is the one who offered him a substantial platform to enact these changes then bless it.

Sparked an unstoppable 'Unity' movement....all in one day.
