As far as James Hewitt, I have to say that he did have his side of the story. I'm not anti-Diana, but I think her part in it has been glossed over. His life was really destroyed whether he told his side of the story or not. I remember reading his book when it came out, and I don't recall his having said anything bad about her. Their relationship had already been exposed. He would have been better off not having met her.

The British Press in the late 80s and all through the 90s was 1 huge cespit thanks to Bob Maxwel And Rupert Murdoch. They started a war between tabloids and as press titles came up for sale they snapped them up, promising the readership they're would be no change in editorial policy.
This led to the feeding frenzy on celebrities and royals. It also led to newspaper editors bullying anyone and everyone to get whatever stories they wanted.
We as a family gave up reading any news papers, as did many others. But Maxwell and Murdock still carried on slugging it out to control the press. Then they moved into TV new that's how we now have wall to wall celebrity gossip instead of actual news

Roughly 12 - 15 years ago Andrew Denton interviewed Dame Elisabeth Murdoch on his TV program, `Elders'. Apart from her being as sharp as a tack (no mean feat for someone pushing the 100 mark) I remember Andrew carefully asking her about Rupert. Her answer, while carefully delivered, was rather telling. It went something like: "I don't always agree with everything Rupert does or says, but what I usually say when asked this question is that he's a wonderful father, and a very good son."
For me, there is so much there that she wasn't prepared to articulate in a public interview.

The trouble with writing a book about yourself is the stories involve other people, and often one violates their privacy in telling your story. Discretion is the better part of valor indeed -- and is in short supply! As for James Hewitt, yes he is a cad. He was willing to cuckold the heir to the throne, cooperated with an indiscreet book about Diana, and was willing to sell Diana's private love letters to him for the right price/ conditions. The tabloids don't come out of this smelling of roses either, but one must own one's own part.

Hi Shauna, I’m glad you are seeing Morgan’s moral character for what it is. However, on the opinions he has it is easy to agree with him on most things, but he is no better than Markle for jumping on the latest bandwagon and feeling the latest zeitgeist. He is very entertaining, and knows a lot of famous people, but he’s a hypocrite. Publishing fake photos of our soldiers - despite his own brother being a veteran. Knowing about a murdered girl’s phone being hacked (he was the editor of course he did) giving her poor parents false hope. He says he was friends with Diana, but she invited him to KP once for lunch to meet William to get him to stop publishing articles about her and the Princes. They had one lunch or trust me that would have been in his diaries, monthly meetings with the Princess. To those who say there are many photos of them together, these would be functions, not tete a tetes. Like Markle he knows where the cameras are. Look what he said about Trump. Compared his response to the pandemic to Markle’s saying hers was more heartfelt. Trump gave him a job when he was unemployable over here due to the fake photos and hacking scandals. he put him on the apprentice thus leading the way to him getting the late night talk show where he told Americans to surrender their arms. He’s a snake, and just as bad as Markle, in my opinion.

IMO they all used Diana, the proverbial cash cow. Her family, the press, authors, friends, lovers, and employees. They are still using her to this day. Granted she was as flawed as we all are, and not a saint. Every generation throws up a false god to worship.

I actually recall Fergie saying that herself and Dianna agreed to divorce at the same time, Fergie went ahead and jumped ,Dianna didnt ,which Fergie felt Di had set her up then let her down, if true it was a dreadful thing to do, I always thought Fergie far more likeable than Di, she didn't seem to use people then blame them, took responsibility for her own actions. Di seemed to have a trait of falling out with people and not speaking to them when it suited her.Dropped James Hewitt completely because he went to Afghanistan with his soldiers, rather than renaging on his mates and duties and stay at home loving her, even Dodie said that Di demanded to be adored ,life doesn't work that way. Harry seems to be a needy ,demanding person as well. perhaps that's why so many of Dianna's relationships ended.

I am like you in that I enjoy a good gossip without malice and I do watch Piers Morgan on occasion for the tyrannical drama. Something I have noticed is that presenters, like Piers, become very comfortable in the persona that they want us to see that they actually relax and facets of their true character begin to show. Sometimes I go Uh Oh so there you are when I spot those slips but what really happens is that over time an accumulation of hints of true character either verbally or in their body language occur so that instead of revelatory moments there is more a shift in how I feel about them. In Piers Morgan’s case I started out, earlier , in a fairly neutral frame of mind and even began to enjoy his verbal attacks and style but now I find him distasteful and the nuances in language and his body language, mostly facial, give me an uncomfortable feeling about him. I have learned to trust in my long life my instincts formed from my life experiences so I give him more misses than views now and I feel more comfortable myself because I do.
Your presentations are so enjoyable because I feel that what I see & hear is what I get. Open, honest and entertaining. Thank you.

I watched the lost tapes of Diana and how she talks about her affairs. How her mother walked away from the family. How people thought she was a real bore at the beginning and took all those lessons to become a better public speaker. It’s really interesting because it’s her speaking. She’s telling her stories.
She also learned to use the media to her advantage instead of working against them.
Piers may be a narcissist but he also calls out Prince Williams brothers wife. He still is respected to the monarchy.

Thank you; another enjoyable video. To answer your moral goalposts question, I believe that you "reap what you sow". Most of us will work a situation to our advantage, and that will often be "at a cost" to someone else - how else do YOU get the job and S/HE does not, that sort of thing. But to abuse a situation to solely benefit yourself to the detriment of someone else or to take an action solely for the purpose of harming someone else, well, karma's a b*tch and she hurts a lot more when she's had time to work up speed. And to what end behaving that way? Because rarely does a negative/abusive action result in a "clean getaway", even if it is "only" your own conscience eating away at your soul.

This is why the love of money is the root of all evil. So many times a person with info will say well if I don't someone else will then they'll get the money .... But will it be worth it? If you don't believe in God and when you die you just die, if there's no judgement day or person who will reward secret unnoticed good works, then I guess you would just go drive in and it's a dog eat dog world then. But I do believe in God and I do believe that it will matter more who is who so to speak then than now. If being humble now and doing good quietly, even to the point of persecution, gains you a greater place then, than that's my choice..... But then I do consider, wait, is my heart right if I'm still doing it for a reward later? Hmmm...... So then I decided I want to examine my motives and do what's right for the sake of doing what's right. For the sake of treating others how I'd like to be treated and actually caring about others. And that takes deep soul searching.
