The name of the channel is referencing the book of Albert Camus: The myth of sysphus; one of the key sentences of the book and at the same time the last sentence of the book is “One must imagine Sysphus happy”
@@WhinyPaluza it is a reference to the last line of the French-Algerian philosopher Albert Camus’ book ‘The Myth of Sisyphus’. In the book Camus describes King Sisyphus, locked in his eternal struggle pushing a boulder up a hill which he can never reach the top of, as the perfect absurdist hero and suggests that Sisyphus may find joy in his torment as an act of rebellion against the eternal pain it would usually cause, simply because there is no other way to continue onwards. Camus suggests that we should all attempt to be like Camus in a way, that life is our individual boulder and that we should find joy in the nonsensical nature of our existence because there is no other way to continue moving forwards. The last line of the book is ‘One must imagine Sisyphus happy.’ Or something like that. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong on any of that.

You know it’s weird to imagine how strangers on the internet can sometimes help us deal with our problems more than the people whom we are close to (not to say that loved ones can’t help too)
But that becomes a problem in itself, we just hear what we want to hear, we don't learn real empathy, also the phisicality of interactions is a need, we really need a pretty and safe place to live, and not only home, that should extend to our community
When I talk with strangers online about issues I can sometimes open up more freely because I'm not going to encounter them irl or fear they might tell my secrets to my colleagues or whatever. Also, it's easier to find people who've experienced something similar to you.
My interpretation is that as consumers of philosophy in a digital age, or at least as his viewers, we are apt to simply consuming the media in our world (sisyphus vids), but when philosophy comes into the real world we’ll not even engage with that real life experience and instead choose to tune out and continue on with our own little world
