    Getting passengers reaction after a 1st or 2nd gear pull in N mode never gets old.

    Wait that's a $600 resonator delete? A quality resonator is underrated. Removed secondary cat for actual performance gains, and it will open up the sound a bit.

    I have a similar experience with my 9th Gen Civic Si. It's really quiet in cabin. I know for a fact that my exhaust is ear piercingly loud, but inside the cabin it's far from bothersome. I don't even have drone. I wish it was louder in the cabin...

  • @sonofnothing
    @sonofnothing 2 місяці тому

    "exactly like oem but louder". That's because you removed the resonator! You're a muffler away from a 'catback'. I think these cars sound amazing from the factory, I would only replace the secondary car with a test pipe and leave the rest. At the end, I think it's clear that resonated sounds better, all day.

    I own a N as well DCT. You said it’s similar to OEM but my pops are not nearly as gnarly as yours. Yours sound like what I want mine to sound like. I live in a town that’s at an elevation of 6k ft and I think that’s the reason

      N75 STAGE 1 or 2 with enhanced crackle and pops should help that, a mid-pipe is another option💡

    I'll be adding someones mid-pipe come spring, either this one or the Stillen one. My buddy (Polish Bullitt) installed the entire Stillen cat-back and its awesome, takes the sound to 11 but not ricey and still sounds like an EN❗️📢 5:46

    The cheaper route would just del the oem resonater. Basically the same sound. Buying this mid pipe in my opinion is a waste.

    Hey Patty! Would this have a different sound profile than just doing a res delete on the stock midpipe?

    • @pattyboi
      @pattyboi  6 місяців тому

      If I had to guess they'd probably sound fairly similar albeit the upgraded downpipe would likely be louder due to the larger diameter. Can't say for sure though without hearing both in person!

    • @sonofnothing
      @sonofnothing 2 місяці тому

      Not really. Resonator delete adds rasp and volume. Sounds better resonated!

    Stock exhaust sounds much better. The new pipes frequency is higher which is not as appealing as the stock frequency sound. Ya can Not beat factory engineering. They spend millions of dollars tuning a cars harmonics. Aftermarket companies spend maybe thousands at most.

    • @pattyboi
      @pattyboi  10 місяців тому +2

      I think the sweet spot for me is downpipe with stock exhaust. That makes it louder but keeps a very similar tone to stock ...but if you want max power then taking out as much restriction as possible will benefit from an aftermarket downpipe.

      These cars have no power I’ve owned 2 Elantra N’s snd a Kona N. They’re like a rice rocket. No use throwing money at a 300 horsepower car there just isn’t. Save that money and just buy a car with the horsepower you. I dumped them all for a new Kia Ev6 GT. Wanna feel some power go test drive. 0-60mpg in 3.1 seconds all day long stock. Ya the range is 200 miles per charge but hell who drives even half that in one day and a level 2 charger in garage tops it off to 100% nightly.

      I thought the same way until i tried them owned several now. I hated the idea before. But once you try a higher performance EV you are hooked. I have a new corvette and McLaren in the garage. 90% of the time it’s the EV6 GT I’m driving.

    • @noodles9345
      @noodles9345 10 місяців тому +7

      @@uutube243 I mean it depends on what you are buying a car for. For those of us that want ICE engines and want to go fast, the easy answer is just buy a mustang, camaro, challenger/charger. Problem solved, dont have to do anything at all. BUT not all of us want the same thing. And not all of us care about going fast in a straight line. I know I don't really care about it. I enjoy driving on a road course track more than a drag strip. But we all have our tastes. Plus the track I go to, they don't allow EVs anyway so there wouldn't be a point for me even if I did want an EV.
