My favorite show on UA-cam with my Favorite lineman #69 Big Stink. A beast in the trenches. A beast on the pod! Great show! Thank you guys!!!
Thanks
You can’t collude as an ownership group and decide to put a cap on the QBs so they’re gonna have to do something else to get around it
Love at first sight 😂
Divide by two and add seven. Anything under that is creepy.
Making a separate cap is just taking the responsibility off the GM. Have the balls to say no to a qb like Minnesota did w Kirk cousins, build a cost effective team around a highly paid qb if you have one. Do your job
Arthur Smith without Derrick Henry equals me as an OC…. Hey I might be good. Lol
We shall see
Wow i didn't know about BB dating a 24 year old that's crazy. I looked it up and it said that they were first seen getting off his boat in Nantucket, of all places
You guys are a fantastic team. Great chemistry, and you talk about relevant things happening now. Some of these pod casts ask some dumbass questions of scenarios that don't or wouldn't be feasible because the Broncos have shown over time that there are players that are more of a lock than some people believe. I'm probably in the minority here, but it is what it is. Thanks for the rant.
I appreciate that
Good idea about a certain amount of money for a QB doesn't count against a team's cap.
Love at first Flight.
Cap isnt entirely fake. Teams have to contend with it. Sure, it can be maneuvered and manipulated, but it’s real enough to compel teams to develop strategies around it.
Correct but to act like it’s a death sentence is just inaccurate
Anytime I hear people talk about Josh Allen it reminds me of Elway with Dan Reeves. Maybe the head coach to lead him to the promised land is currently coaching a division rival. #CoachCapri
A Very Great Idea, Because the QB and WR Market is WAY out of Control, It Must Change. It has to change.
Crazy that your roster gets good when you draft well and understand that you can’t keep everyone.
Correct
The Steelers can't wait till their bye week to switch to Justin Fields because the harder half of their schedule is after the bye including all 6 division games.
I think the owners are going to get together to put a limit on these QB contracts. With Mahomes not even being the highest paid. It’s going to get even higher when he extends. Let’s see what the Cowboys do with Dak. MVP runner up last year. Is he over $65mil a year? Crazy
I totally disagree with a cap….that allows the team without an elite quarterback to have a chance by developing a strong team.
A strong team that doesn’t win? Or just ekes into the playoffs
The Russell Wilson contract WILL handicap the Broncos from signing elite free agents next season. It does affect us because aside from signing bonuses, the structure of contracts HAVE to fit the yearly cap limits. I don't 100% blame Paton for resigning Wilson (I do blame him for not arguing against Wilson's agent on the fact that Wilson had 2 years left on his Seattle contract) . Most players that get traded, get contract extensions. The Wilson contract would've been fine had Wilson not declined so much, like the Watson contract, Cleveland can live with b/c Watson showed flashes of being that guy they traded for or Lamar's contract even though he's always injured, you got show that you, as a QB, can carry the team on your shoulders for that amount of $$
They’re eating 53 million of it. This year means next year they’re in for 30 million and the truth of the matter is there are no elite free agents that hit the market… If they hit the market, they are flawed.
@StinkinTruthPodcast Yeah, man..... I'm just very distressed about that cap hit to where we have to solely depend on HITTING on every draft pick for the next couple of years ( and you know the Broncos draft hits and misses) instead of signing proven players then putting rookies to develop behind them. That's why I have my fingers crossed for Zach Wilson for at LEAST this year because even if Bo has the talent, that talent isn't going anywhere in year 2 BUT the last thing he needs is his confidence crushed as a rookie. Anyway, love your football insights, can't wait for your in season takes! Love the Bellichick piece 😂💙🧡💙🧡
I think the reports of Wilson losing a step were accurate... I never question his work ethic so it's not like he just got fat... he just bulked up for whatever reason, maybe he was convinced that would let him stay in the pocket and take more punishment long term, but yea, once he trimmed down he was nearly back to his old speed, maybe half a step slower, I think the main difference now though compared to his houdini stuff early in his nfl career, is that NFL players are wiser to his tendencies now.
Edit: The wilson saga is so fascinating to me because of how so many people assumed the best of him. They saw all the broken play magic, and highlight deep balls and just assumed he was elite at everything else too. There's so much going on with him, the "neutral thinking" philosophy which he has really just turned into "nothing bad that happens should be focused on" which also means he doesn't take the time to learn from his mistakes, or even acknowledge they are HIS mistakes. The type of QB he is, such an interesting combination, the really athletic cliche, but with a twist of elite touch on deep balls, and then one thing that really interests me, is how the seahawks kept a lid on his deficiencies so long (im a seahawks fan and watched all his games for seattle). Like I wonder how Paton or any GM making blockbuster trades isn't watching every single snap of a target players career and making sure they are getting what they think they are getting. Or even things like how chandler jones always had wilson's number, seemed to understand his deficiencies, and feasted off of it, but that somehow wasn't information that got out to other defenses. Curious to see how he'll do in pittsburgh because in theory they have a team built to support his style.
Every QB who relies on scrambling falls off a cliff once they lose a step. Pure pocket passers like Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Kirk Cousins, and Aaron Rodgers play forever with their brain.
72 to 24...the score of our broncos playing miami...ugh... good job wild bill...girls like guys with tons of money....weird...hehehe...lighten up stick....
G'day Mark
Justin Fields will probably be better liked in the locker room.
I would imagine
Justin Fields can’t play.
You forgot to add NFL QB.
Who cares? Two consenting adults, and let’s be honest we both know what they get out of this.
