As a former collegiate/professional football player myself I can easily tell you what is going on with Wilson inside of the hash marks. He turned himself into a *One Dimensional* quarterback who is basically predictable in his counter snaps and audibles. He loves running naked bootlegs, which exposes him in single coverage. And he runs the “65 Package” way too much in Denver. As a former defensive player, all you have to do is box the inside and force him to react quickly. Stack the box and single coverage zone would eliminate majority of Wilson skill set. But it’s easy for Wilson to get out of this mess, and that’s training. He needs to watch film and train on his weaknesses.
People blame Pet Carroll for the Super Bowl disaster, but it was actually Wilson who called the audible disaster because if you look closely at Lynch position he was clearly in run down hill mode with his shoulders squared up because if he was prepared for a play action his legs would have been spread apart so he could block the incoming rush. Maybe that’s why Wilson doesn’t want to talk with Lynch anymore because Lynch cursed him out in the locker room because that’s embarrassing. Wilson wanted to be the hero of the game but instead he got a egg smeared in his face lol 😂
Sean Payton is a master of disguising smaller quarterbacks, and that’s why Wilson wants to play for him. But Wilson has to leave his ego behind when he parks his car at the team headquarters, once he exits his car his mind should be focused on getting better nothing else.
I don’t agree with Wilson being washed up, but he’s his own worst enemy and only time will tell if he’s ready to be elite. Because right now he’s not elite.
And he needs to stop with the *Black Jersey* nonsense at practice because he’s known for wearing his BLACK jersey which means he’s a *Non-Contact* player because that instills respect and confidence in his teammates. Because wearing the black jersey shows that he doesn’t trust his teammates and thinks they’re out to injure him.

I may not have understood anything you wrote, but I loved reading it anyway. Hopefully, Mr. Wilson can turn this thing around. One thing for sure is he needs a dose of humility if he wants to get better.

I live an hour outside of Seattle. Russell Wilson from a PR standpoint was a favorite here in Washington State for a long time. I worked with a woman that told me that her mother was so moved by his philanthropy that when the mother mentioned his name, she would cry. I was like🤔. As far as him getting an office in the facilities, he also gets extra tickets to games and he also has parking spaces at the stadium reserved for his family and friends. Don’t ask for any extra tickets to any games this season, except for the ones that we allow you to have and those parking spaces until you start showing improvement. His last season with Seattle he was on pace to repeat those stats until his finger injury which required surgery and his was out for a month, he should’ve stayed out longer at least another month. It amazing to be how Seattle didn’t upgrade their OL for 8 years and the fans and sports media were calling them out about that horrendous OL but as soon as Russ was traded they did. And Seattle local media thinking this was a flex said that per sources they’ve always had the money to upgrade that OL but they chose not to.
And that's why Sean Payton was quoted as saying he wasn't interested in coaching Wilson before he signed on to coach the Denver.

Russ is and always will be one of my favorite Seahawks of all time. He's done so much for the community here in Seattle , for the children w/cancer. His wife is amazing too. She gives and gives. They both give and give. He was legit hurt last year and no one EVER mentions that. He will kick butt this year. As a lifelong Seahawk fan I can tell you he was cringe from day one. He was once a great quarterback that was fun to watch, but he always struck me as fake nice in a vaguely creepy way. People cite his Children's Cancer center visits as an example of how great a person he is, but these were the events that made me sus in the first place.
My sister knew someone that worked at Seattle Children's and he did go there every Tuesday like Wilson claimed he did.

Instead, Pete Carroll wanted Russ to be the hero because the organization thought that was a better look than having Marshawn score the game winner. Needless to say, we all know how that worked out... And, we all know how The Legion of Boom and his teammates felt about it..

Nobody gives a damn about Russ and his relationship with his wife Ciara. It’s all about his football play and corny catch phrases during press conference interviews. He played terrible with in last year with the Seahawks and 1st year with the Broncos. Us football fans could care less about him treating his wife like a queen. Players like Lebron, Steph, Jalen hurts, Patrick Mahomes don’t get called corny and they have girlfriends/wives. It’s all about him being lame and playin bad on the football field💯🤦🏽♂️

When he played for the Seahawks, I always respected his playing. I thought he was the prototype QB of the future -- could throw accurately, run, run & throw, made great on field decisions, was clutch in game winning situation. What happened? Success go to his head? Not enough time & energy devoted to his craft? Celebrity distractions? Greedy for money & power? I don't know. Can he fix it? Does he want to? I hope so.

I think one of the things that irritates people about Russ is his inability to "read the room". Maybe he's a bit Asbergers. He can't always find the right place to draw the line between "Cool or interesting", and "gag me". Examples: the video from bed talking about his contract, the "Mr. Unlimited" video, and the Subway ad. In Seattle, to many of us, it felt like some self-serving duplicity. Sure, he did great things on the field, and in the community. But at the same time, he was trying to pull strings behind the scenes and was angling for an equal voice at the owner/manager table. He was often carping about "needing more tools" for his offense, and "tired of getting hit too much". At one point, he was advocating for bringing Antonio Brown in for a possible signing. (This was well after it became clear that Antonio would be a major distraction in the locker room.) For all the beefing about getting hit too much though, we never heard him encouraging the team to spend draft picks on the OL. Feels like he got way too obsessed with his mighty "legacy", while trying to sell the fanbase that he was "all in" for the team. Felt like perhaps he'd figured out that sacks get blamed on the OL (no matter how long he holds the ball) and do not reflect negatively on him, but the glory of a TD pass was all his. I can't help but wonder if he was pushing hard for more weapons when Seattle took Dee Eskridge, who at best would have been WR # 3 behind DK and Tyler Lockett, while passing up the chance to draft Creed Humphry, who was still on the board. This at a time where Center was desperately in need of a solid long-term solution. Forcing his way out the way he did, did not endear him to the fanbase either. I found it curious that THIS year, he came in "lean and mean". Why didn't "Mr. Ultimate off-field prepper" come in lean and mean LAST year? Feels like he got cocky ("I can just step into this much better team and we can go places"), or complacent. He went into Denver with his own office, parking space, and posse of coaches and trainers, who had free access to the Bronco facility. Russ will likely do fine if he plays within his limits and focuses on what he actually does do well, instead trying to create personal glory for his mighty legacy. He will turn 35 in November too.
Although Russell Wilson is not a “bad” guy, I understand the criticism. When you DEMAND the money you’re getting from the front office and then prove that your celebrity is more important than anything else especially when you have teammates involved……Yes, that’s a problem!! And then trying to have your two bosses fired who gave you that whopping contract and WHO MADE YOU WHAT YOU ARE TODAY??? Yeah, with that and much more it’s definitely understandable why he’s not too admired by much of the league.
