I'm still curious if the AC Line Frequency difference (60Hz North America vs 50Hz European) between the two places will make a difference in operation of the motors.... 3:20 the label on the motor says 60Hz. It's 50Hz line frequency in the Cape Verde Islands.

Will it make a difference? Slightly.
      Will it matter? No.

@@highpwr Thanks. Sometimes the line frequency matters - a good example would be old electric clocks that are synced off of the line frequency. Sometimes Motor Speed also.

@@joeylawn36111 It'll just run a little slower - like running it on a VFD at 50Hz instead of 60Hz. Most motors will take running anywhere from very low frequency to 200% nameplate frequency on a VFD (though you might need some auxiliary cooling if running at low speeds for a long time, as the integrated fan won't move enough air at low speeds).

Your a good dude Keith,I always like to pay forward ,and help others that can use the help this is true American spirit!Just gave away 2 welders and a weld table to a young man out of trade school so he can hustle on the side. Also I pay for 3 people who want to go through the high school industrial arts robotics program who cant afford to go every year. Make sure you send him some of the vintage "shop" calendars Im sure are lingering in your treasures 😂, my wife purged the box of shame from my shop. Love what your doing bud!

Good on you for helping Valdir begin his machining journey. I probably haven't been a subscriber long enough to understand all the history behind the donations, but I assume you have met him on a travel to Cape Verde or learned from another. I met some furniture makers on the Caribbean Island of Dominica back in the early 80's (on a 2-week church mission trip) and was astonished how well they performed their tasks with such limited machines and even rudimentary and worn hand tools. Their shop was under a porch overhang with a dirt floor. Their machines were a "table saw" that was cobbled from parts and a router with rusted bits. That was it, and their work was very impressive! I wish I had had the means in the 80's to help them the way you are helping Valdir. One thing I did notice in Dominica was the lack of metal protection from the salt air. Their tools and machines really suffered. Thanks, and I hope you get some pictures or video to post from Cape Verde when the equipment arrives.

HIi Keith those small countersink cage ( hand drill ) are used in aircraft to countersink outer skins ( flush rivets ) on a plane or KW trucks with aluminum cabs . i used those at Lockheed back in the 80's . JM Trump 👍

Great job putting the 3Phase motor on my mill. Im sure that it is going to last for decades! The slots on the table should fit the standard strap down set pretty good, i have a set that I now use in my bridgeport clone (3 HP Bruit) and have no problem.
If you need a set let me know I'll send one of those to you before you ship my mill. Thanks again Keith!! Also let me know if you need anything else. Speak soon Craig.
