God job. ! thanks for sharing how you make slipjoints. Learnt more from you than most other professionals. Would love to make one as good as yours to leave for my grandson.
Thank you for the informative video series. You deserve more views for sure. I have only done a few folders. I will have to give it another shot using the tips you gave in the series.
Looks great. That 4.5-5 pull, and more smooth than snappy is exactly how I prefer the action to be on a slip joint. I've sold/traded some off that were too stiff for my preference. Both of my Great Eastern Cutlery slip joints are perfect for me in that regard
Thank u 👍 getting a nice action without being to stiff or to lazy is something I still am trying to get better at ..I'd rather not need to supply vise grips for my knives 🤣
Well my honorary cousin, wow, I’m so impressed and you should be so proud of your work, a true craftsman at work. And this is the 13th video of the series, my lucky number it always seems to pop up., and my middle boy was born on the 13th a Friday certainly not unlucky for me 😊. Thank you so much for doing this
I appreciate it cuz 👍 well sure ain't nothing wrong with being born on the 13th... I was as well...tho it wasn't a Fri I don't think lol I surely do appreciate u taking the time to watch these videos as well!
Dwight I would like to see a video on making your patents I think that is most of problem I use paper Patton printed off the Internet glued onto my steel I guess my question is how do you know that your pattern will work? Especially the damn handle never seems to fit . Thanks 🙏
Hello Again 😊 Came out Beautiful 😍 Job well done 💯 Cant believe how time went pass from start to finish 😂 God bless you & Greetings From South Africa 🇿🇦
Do think you can do a video on making your pattern how you know it will work I glue patterns on the steel then cut and grind them out but the handle is all ways an issue thanks
It does appear that way, especially in the thumb nail pic...the spine is actually curved...so with the way I contoured the handle material the material lines are straight lines at an angle to the blade...that is a mistake on my part for not contouring the material with the curve of the handle
One awesome knife and series! Excellent work!!!
Thank u 👍
awesome knife....great series....thank you for sharing...

I love this profile. The blade to handle ratio is spot on. I need to get with you about owning one of these.

@@tnhillbilly1307 I can imagine it is difficult. Yes, I use my knives, I don't just keep them in a safe, so I like them to function well

Thank u 👍 hopefully the basics will help u out but there is nothing wrong with figuring out what works best for u!
Hey Dwight. I just now found your channel. Good stuff brother.
Howdy Gary! I appreciate u checking it out 👍

I'm going to get several started next week and I plan on doing one from a drawing I've done... I'll do my best to video how I go about it 👍
Hey up Dwight you dark horse I didn’t know you had another channel, Bob just mentioned you so I can’t wait to get stuck into these video my friend.
Howdy Johnathan! I do thank u for coming over and checking my knife channel out 👍
@@tnhillbilly1307 I’ll be glued buddy don’t you worry!
Is there a reason to design the knife so that the blade is not quite parallel to the handle? Looks as though the blade is not completely opened.
