I’d say 2 for the stock 2 for the barrel, k2 grip is 35, 100 for the hand guard and about 3 for the trigger and 125 for the muzzle device. So with shipping and taxes I’d say around 1050. The raven 9 platinum is going for 1404 right now on the Lockhart site
@@wildnorthadventures ok son I’ve been looking at the Raven 9 but also the shorter FX-9, 10” barrel. So did you still have to buy the full gun from Lockhart..?
I did just buy the whole thing from Lockhart I got one of the demo ones. But you could just get the calibre kit and a stripped lower. My friend was just getting his fx9 dialed in this morning. He’s got the 10”. He was having issues with the stock buffer (only 3oz???!!!) so he got an 11oz one and now it purrs. Pretty sweet platform Let me know what go with
I just turned 18 and got my PAL. Currently saving up for a raven 9 build of my own. Once ipsc Canada comes out with the PCC black badge course ill be set.
Congrats on your pal and welcome to one of the nicest communities in the world! Where abouts do you live? Just generally. I’m in the midst of getting info about the bb course. Our range officer was saying that if an instructor has competed in 2 pcc qualifier matches he might be able to teach the course. He’s still looking into so don’t take this as gospel yet. Once you get a pcc phone the match director or just call the range to get his number and ask if you can compete. I don’t have my bb yet but they still let me compete at a few of the ranges around here. I just don’t get my results up on practiscore. It’s so much fun and I really encourage you to get out and try it. Any other questions on builds or matches just let me know and I’m happy to help👍🏽
@@wildnorthadventures Thanks so much man. I live in Fort McMurray, Alberta. I emailed our zone director and he told me to keep an eye out for a pcc course on our instructors website. I think he’s only one who does all the courses up here but I don’t know for sure. I’ll contact our zone director again to see if there’s any way to start competing without the bb course. And once I get a pcc I definitely will be reaching out for advice I really appreciate it. I have a lot of practical experience with lever and bolt action rifles and pump action shotguns but any knowledge I have on almost any semi automatic firearm is all theoretical which I’m guessing will only get me so far lol.
No. It just felt lighter and more manoeuvrable. But with a blow back system it had no problems cycling. Kinda crazy it works with the long barrel when you consider the majority of 9mm semiautomatic are handguns.
It’s the adjustable 9mm buffer from Lockhart. The kit comes with a bunch of different weights. Aluminum, steel and tungsten. I’m using 4 tungsten. Which brings it to 10.4 oz if memory serves. Thanks for watching
I do have a few from the range. Not sure if you seen them but there up on my page somewhere. That was super fun today. Can’t wait to get yours all tricked out 😎
Yes the handle is for an ar15. But it only works in the 9mm raven. That is a really good idea for a video. I’ll get on that. Thanks for the suggestion and thanks for watching
As a Canadian FA enthusiast I find the most challenging part of the sport is finding the parts you want/need. I’ve been building for a few years now, but I’m always searching for new Canadian suppliers. Where do you buy your accessories and parts from? Thanks for taking the time to make this video. Cheers.
Thanks for watching!👍🏽. For parts I’ve been using all the Canadians stores first. If I can’t get stuff there then I’ll try Canadian importers like irunguns or Aztec. Then a few American stores will ship some parts to Canada. (Be sure to call and check) like double alpha and optic planet. And recently I e been getting parts from Europe the ipsc store and the cesar shop. Hope that helps a bit
No it’s not legal. I’m such a bad ass that I made a public video of my illegal fire arm lol. Just kidding. It’s 100% legal just had to register it and get the restricted registration. Guys have been swapping barrels on their firearms for decades so it’s a pretty straightforward process
@@jhulianpangalangan9324 absolutely you can. As long as you have your rpal. Just grab a barrel do the swap. Make sure it works ( you have 30 days to register after the swap) than go on the Canadian firearm program website and look for the register a firearm form. Print that off then give them a call. They’ll walk you through the rest. Usually a bunch of emails with pics attached. PS although this is how it worked for me be sure to call the firearms centre (they’re super nice) and ask questions. They’re there to help us. And don’t want us getting in trouble because of little mistakes. I’m just some guy making videos and they’re the finally authority on the regulations. Hope this helps a bit.
@@wildnorthadventures Good to know. I do have my RPAL .. and will definitely do same on my raven. but would there be a .300 black out short barrel ? can you provide me a link where I can find those? Thanks much
Check out RDSC (red dear shooting centre) or csc (Calgary shooting centre. Both places have really good websites. And don’t be afraid to send an email if you don’t see what you’re after. They can order stuff in. (I ordered a proof research 22arc barrel from csc) Or if you wanna go custom Canadian check out international barrels or JC barrels. Lots of options out there. Especially with something like the 300 black out.
@@bravo2zeroCAN I’m using this for Ipsc I shoot 100’s with 5.4 of Cfe pistol. Super reliable post tuning. Did have a few bugs to work out getting there. But it was all in the powder charge. Love listening to this guy
Huge money spent to build this gorgeous gun.
Nice build, just looking rdsc those guys got some nice and well stocked inventory.i’m on the market for 5.56 build.

How much did all that run minus the cost of the gun. And how much was the gun from raven. Awsome build by the way 😊

Thanks for watching and the comment. I’m working on an update video. I found the muzzle device and hand guard I wanted so I think she’s done now
That is an awesome build! I was looking at building something similar. Is that faxon barrel just their regular AR15 9mm barrel?
Yup it sure is. Got it from rdsc

When you changex the barrel length, did it have any effect on the gas system?

This guy is so chill. How do I be like that....
Step 1 buy weed. Step 2 smoke it 😊 your welcome
Are you allowed to have a shorter barrle ? Without making it restricted just curious
Your are with manual action firearms. But on a semi auto anything less than 18.6 needs to be registered as restricted. And you need to have an r-pal.
That charge handle is that ar15 version also what is ar15 based on these rifles can you do a break down video on that maybe ?
