That special feeling Amanda felt in the forest? That’s called Ireland. I felt it on my first trip to backpack around the island. It is a truly magical place. Thanks for sharing!
When i was 14 our school went on a week long school trip to the Uk. Going there was fun with the ferry ( though not from Calais but from Zeebrugge/ belgium). HOWEVER the return journey the weather changed all of a sudden. From only having 3-4 beaufort winds to suddenly having a forecast of near hurricane 12 beaufort + winds. The Captian decided to take the chance and we went. In the beginning it was ok ish.. some rocking nothing major. Then at full sea it was bad. Up a wave DOWN another.. No windows broke but there were some times we were "under the sea" ( see what i did there hehe). There were some shouting groceries in a bag but we quickly realized that if we started eating that would not make us sick ( the people that were shouting groceries all went in on an empty stomach) So we had a wobbly raid toward the shop. yes Ireland is magical but the weather is just nuts over there at times. When we visited we were driving in the sunshine then we noticed a dark cloud... suddenly it started raining so badly we couldn't see 5 foot ahead of us so we parked beside the road, then the sun came out again and a drizzle followed next while the sun was peeking through the clouds. Seen more rainbows in Ireland than anywhere else in the world. If the stories hold , there are lots of pots of gold around :) hehe
still don't know why you're not up to at least a halm million followers, you're stuff is great, Love the travel videos. I think you do well with the park stuff, but I'm starting to think this travel stuff suits you well. I hope it's a good comparison but maybe something like a youtube Rick Steve's. And having your family along is really cool too. thanks Chris!
Chris, I’m terrified of heights. I went to Blarney Castle, and about died when I saw how high the stone was up on the side of the cliff. And on top of that, you get up there and the few bars keeping you safe lean over the edge. I saw so many people just stand up there and freeze. I did it, after forcing myself! I knew there was a good chance I’d never be back, and I’d regret it forever. I’m pretty proud of myself for doing it. ☘️
@@lcflngn yeah, those stairways are quite tight. I think the fact the building is so exposed to the outdoors helps with the claustrophobia. I get that occasionally, too. I went to the ATM cave in Belize about 10 years ago, and there’s a real spot that is very claustrophobic. But if you get the chance to fly to Ireland, do it. I just called one of those Ireland travel websites, and they put together a 10 day package of bed and breakfast spots and hotels together. It was cheap. It was also very stress free, but still allowed full freedom to pick your spots. We got a rental car and took our time. It was my first time in Europe. I just remember thinking later that it was so easy we should have done it sooner.
Welcome to Ireland 🇮🇪, Provost family, sorry it's raining. We've had a worse than usual summer for rainfall, it's usually bad but this year has been worse. Have a wonderful time regardles of weather. ❤. Cruise me!
A castle in Ireland on a rainy day is amazing! It's also raining as I watch this too. Really classic looking and truly magical!! Right out of Celtic myth! Now I need to go listen to the Mystic Knights of Tyr Na Nog theme... I'd be scared of losing my glasses while going down to kiss that stone... Thank you for taking us on these castle tours!
"Ladies in waiting". What a time it must have been. Also, fun fact, the Blarney stone used to function as a "deflector stone" in a toilet chute. Well earned good luck, I'd say.
Thank you for this video. I’m from Irish decent. He took Great thing about your video, was (is) our family lineage is from Cork. Lovely to see the castle.
The reason why these staircases turned clockwise was also for defensive reasons. As most of the people were/are right-handed, it is easier to use your sword when going up backward. You will have lots more room because of the longer wall on your right and on the left of the attacker, who is going up. The attacker will have the short wall and doesn't have as much space to use his sword.
Cruise me. I split my career split between theme parks and cruise ships and would love to hear your amazing, unique takes on theme parks applied to cruises!
Beautiful! So we never knew who my grandmas parents were she was sent to an Irish family in Nebraska as a toddler. We had information her mother. Around ten years ago I found that her mother was a society writer that traveled all over and on a trip to Dublin in1907 met an Irish writer from County Mayo at some point these two people who resemble me...well ...they had a "friendship" until he passed in 1933 in London and they shared a house outside Paris.. She passed in occupied France in 1944. Seeing Ireland on your videos had been lovely! I hope to retire and be able to go see these places where they lived. Unfortunately Moore hall is ruins now. But Blarney castle. My other side of the family is from Perthshire Scotland . history is amazing. Then I have yet another side of the family from Southern England. The rest is Germany. They have some amazing castles . Alton towers in the UK I have seen on UA-cam. Thanks Chris! Safe travels!
8:29 I was just going to comment about how people get lost in forest so leave some bread crumbs or something 😅😂 But ya beat me to it Chris! from Ohio🇺🇸
You’re living my dream right now! I would cry so much just being in Ireland! How awesome! I’m so glad Miles gets to have such cool experiences with you. How special!
My answer: Cruise me! I have never heard of such a thing as kissing the blarney stone before and I find that very interesting. Ireland seems like a very amazing country to visit. Thank you for mentioning about the cruise method to traveling the world abroad. I haven't been on a cruise since I was a kid. At the time I went on a cruise, I went with our family friends. We got face painted as pirates as we were eating our food one night. You guys really stretched out my horizon as I've been having fear of traveling on cruise ships lately. One more thing I have to say about Blarney castle: The interior of the castle made me think of The Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley from Harry Potter.
I think you would really like the episode of Carpool Karaoke where James Corden takes Paul McCartney into Paul's childhood home, they play Beetles songs at a pub, and go to the barber's shop in Penny Lane, etc. It's on You Tube.
This video was every summer holiday growing up in the 80s in Ireland 😂 raincoats and shorts and walks in the forest parks. Such bad luck you landed here during Storm Betty the weather has been rotten this summer.
Cruise 🚢 me now I must say what an amazing time exploring such a beautiful castle 🏰 and watching you guys walking down the wishing steps was quite a treat and I hope Chris yours and Miles dreams come true now if I went down the wishing steps and I was married to Amanda I would wish for many more years of happiness with her now I do want to thank you for teaching me so much about the castle 🏰 I loved every minute of it now with that peace ☮️ love ❤️ and happiness to you Chris Amanda and Miles and I’ll see you on the next awesome Provost Park Pass adventure peace ☮️ out ✌️
Hi Chris, Amanda and Miles, I really hope ye enjoyed your trip in Ireland. Sorry the weather was not better but it has been shockingly bad for the last while. Cant believe ye visited just up the road from us. Would have been amazing to see ye. Great to see ye visit places far and wide and hope ye keep safe on future journeys.
Crazy going from the blistering heat in Tokyo and Hong Kong to the cool and rainy weather in Europe all with a few weeks of each other. Great videos you guys. I loved all of them. Very informative and interesting.
You hugs were documented on the wishing steps. I can't believe Amanda kissed the blarney stone! Good for you! Yes Cruise Me!!! Chris you do such a great job with your videos anyway, a Cruise video will be awesome! Can't wait, see you back in California!
“Cruise Me” We just went on a Princess Cruise to Alaska! So Amazing! That’s the first cruise we’ve ever been on. Would love to hear you talk about all the different cruise lines🤗Love ya PPP🥰
Aloha Amazing Provost Park family...I love following you on this trip..it has been alot of fun for this old guy....What Amanda described is what I felt when I went to Wales..my families home...it felt..like home. Thank you again..safe travels to Ca...
Totally loved your journeys to the British castles! Glad you worked that into your trip and included them in your videos. Sometimes it's nice to see something different and these have been truly magical!
So nice to see the emerald isle ive always want to visit it . Glad to see you guys enjoying the day even in the rain. I didn't know the blarney stone was so high up.
Oh yes, “cruise me” for sure! Not sure when or if I’ll go, but I love seeing it all & imagining :) What a super fun series, thank you all! Def need more Irish countryside in my life. And best wishes to Dr T for a very fulfilling and happy retirement!
Hi I hope you guys are doing well and that everything is going well for you guys and that you're having a happy weekend and a happy Friday ☺️. I also hope you guys have a good evening ✨🌆 and a good night 😴🌉. I also hope you guys are doing well on your trip and I hope everything is going well for you guys on your trip and I hope you guys have a good time on your trip. Also the Castle 🏯🏰 is beautiful 🍀☘️ and even when raining Ireland is still beautiful 🍀☘️.
Cruise me! We did a 15 day Hawaiian Carnival cruise, but it was too long. I'm interested in other cruise experiences to see if there are other cruises we can do that would be fun for my family.
My parents and Gram kissed the stone years ago. My mom thought it was for luck, but the guy who helped her laughed and said, “No dear, it’s for the gift of gab.” My dad instantly regretted letting my mom kiss it, she already had that gift.🤪
I dont think I could kiss the Blarney stone, it looks terrifying. But of course I would try. One time I called an Irish hotel asking for them to send me some info for a guest. When i was giving him my information he commented on my last name and told me that was a strong Irish name. So according to the Irishmen at the hotel, my last name is Irish. However, that is my married name. I know my family roots moslty come from Scottland and Denmark. I am so glad you are getting to do all this travel❤ how blessed you must feel🙏and Miles for getting to experience it so young, what great education for him😊
Yes the Blarney stone doesn't bestow good luck, but gives the gift of gab. Which isn't always a good thing. Which is why is Irish folklore and sayings,, stating that a person is full of blarney. Is similar to saying that while not quite a blatant liar, you exaggerate or blow a lot of hot air when you speak. Also, some say that the Blarney stone wasn't always located where it is now. But there are various stories on how and especially why it's where it currently resides in the castle. As far as the rain, there's a reason that it's called the Emerald Isle. That green comes from LOTS of rain. And most of Great Britain gets LOTS of rain to stay that green. Chris and Amanda, what more could you wish for. You have each other and a little boy, get to travel around the world with each other. Have your health, at least enough to do all these things. What more could you wish for?!

To me, by far the coolest of the castles, especially the beautiful forest.
