- The Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France conducted by Myung-Whun Chung performs Gustav Mahler's Symphony No. 5 in C-sharp minor. Live recording on June 12, 2015 at the Auditorium of Radio France (Paris).
Mr.Chung is realy one of the most wonderful conductor. So intense and musician sensibility he had.I admire and congratulate him. I hope to see him again after the pandemia.

I listened to Mr Chung in Turin some years ago and yes , he is one of my favourite conductors: he is not a showman like many other conductors but obtains the maximum from the orchestra, both in articulation and beauty of the sound. He reads the scores in a creative and personal style.

Maestro Chung is a superlative conductor. To this day I still remember his extraordinary performance of this same symphony in Madrid of 15 years ago with this excellent orchestra and how very modest he was when I went to thank him afterwards. Sufficient to compare this wonderful performance with the exaggerated antics of Rafael Payare and the Detroit S O and one will know where true greatness lies. Bravissimo Maestro !
I like Chung, his conducting is really convincing, a mixture of emotions and an orchestra who knows what to do. Alexandre Baty on the 1st trumpet is really great.

Fehlerlose und wunderschöne Aufführung dieser großartigen Sinfonie mit gut harmonisierten und perfekt balancierten Töne aller Instrumente. Der dritte Satz klingt besonders schön und tiefempfunden. Der intelligente Maestro dirigiert das ausgezeichnete Orchester im perfekt analysierten Tempo mit effektiv kontrollierter Dynamik. Einfach wunderbar!

Myung Whun Chung is an amazing conductor in everything he does with complete confidence he doesnt use a score all memory and mistifys the orchestra and the audience with his magic that is so wonderful!!!

Granted, Chung adopts ritardandos and slow downs to convey bigger and deeper emotions. But hey, the music can certainly take these exaggerations.

je me suis trompé le trompette solo est alexandre Baty .Vous etes un crack car beaucoup redoutent l'entrée c'est parfait et avec une bonne puissance et un son magnifique
le cor solo est exceptionnel vous n'en trouverez pas beaucoup de ce niveau bravo

ce requiem de Malher fut diffusé le 11 septembre 2001 integralement sur france inter dans l'emission "carrefour de Laudeon " magnifique!!!

This is my favorite symphony by Mahler (not only the adagietto) together with the 1 and 6. I love all the other ones (including the reconstructed 10th); I only have some sort of scepticism with the 8th (and to a lesser extent the 4th). Here, the beginning id the key. If the trumpeter is mediocre, the whole symphony will be spoiled. ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍💟
dommage que vous ne soyez plus à la tête de cet orchestre car c'est difficile de remplacer un chef aussi charismatique .La france sait reconnaitre les grands talents .Notre pays n'a aucun préjugé

les trompettes à palettes sonnent plus facilement car la branche est comme celle des bugles directe pas comme les trompettes à piston

bien le trompette voir parfait vous etes bacri je crois .Pour cette musique les trompettes à palettes sonnent mieux mais pas forcément
je préfère un chef qui dirige avec partition car forcément on fait des erreurs boulez dirigeait toujours avec partition .Heureusement que les musiciens sont la pour rattraper les dégâts car il y en a beaucoup je trouve .La battue n'est pas très bonne bien souvent

alexandre baty on aura du mal à trouver quelqu'un de meilleur .La trompette à palettes convient mieux mais ce sont des instruments très chers pratiquement faits à l'unité pour les grandes marques comme schagerll
finalement le nouveau chef mikko franck suit la partition et c'est bien meilleur .J'ai horreur des pianistes qui jouent par choeur car il y a forcément des erreurs .Pierre laurent aymard joue toujours avec partition
