Don’t know why you have all those flash new cars Randy. Have one nice car for the other half and get an old pickup for towing & this wagon for everyday. Use spare cash to pay mortgage down or buy more cars for channel
Ummm thank you for assuming you know my finances better than I do. #1 I work for my money and deserve to enjoy it. #2 I have 17 cars for the channel, you think I need more???? #3 I pay 4x my mortgage every month. My new $250K home will be paid in full in 5 years. My AAR HQ property is paid in full. I'm also about to purchase my grandparent's house and will own it outright as well. I pay about $60k in taxes every single year. Should I not be allowed to enjoy some nice things for the countless hours I put into this channel 7 days a week?
@@AutoAuctionRebuilds now randy😭 just ignore these weirdos LMAO
@@AutoAuctionRebuilds ikr XD keep up your videos bud i have been watching your videos for a few years now.
lol dumbass let randy do what he wanna do. i love the content randy keep up the grind!
you get them randy people got to post dump & stupid comments.
The Montana Trim Package on this Pontiac Trans Sport Minivan Became it's own Model for the 1999 model year when Pontiac dropped the Trans Sport name. The SV6 badge was added to end of the name on the redesigned 3rd Generation Montana in 2005 model year.
I always thought the Montana name came out on the 3rd gen
@@turbo1997hsm The 3rd and Final Generation of the Pontiac Montana SV6 Minivan lasted for two model years (2005 &2006)
The 1st generation GMC Acadia Replaced the Pontiac Montana SV6 Minivan in the 2007 model year.
I really like this one honestly. Loving the content lately Randy. Great job!!!
7:55 - Good to see the Audi A4 and the Grand Marquis are still around with your neighbor ✌️
I remember the old Pontiac Commercial’s being like We Build Excitement Pontiac
Randy, I just can't say enough about you and your channel. it is truely amazing. this was another example of it. the video was awesome. thanks again Randy, see you on the next one. I can't wait to see what you have for us next. 👍👍💯 by the way Randy I love that Transport Montana. it reminds me of my 2003 Chrysler Town & Country Limited when my kids were small.
Randy has owned all these expensive nice ass cars that he keeps for a week and here he is not wanting to get rid of this ancient minivan 😂😂😂
I must show my neighbor this. He's lamenting the loss of his chevy venture. Was a damn damn good van. If we weren't all the way in upstate NY, I guarantee he'd be on the way to Oklahoma to pay 3k cash for it. Up here, it's damn near impossible to find a van like that that clean. As for the fella who said it ain't worth $1500, well, he can go piss into the wind and try not to get any on himself.
Just got my first auction car, a 475$ out the door 2002 town and country , non runner, dirty and nasty as hell, I cleaned it up, and got it running , everything works and I found papers for a new jasper transmission 4k miles ago 6 years ago, and a used engine with 30k miles 3 heads ago. Runs and drives like new.
I had that 3400 in an Impala. Great car, great engine. That Transport, once it's given a bath will make an outstanding family car for someone.
I put a ton of miles on an Oldsmobile cousin of this van. 1990 or 91. Drove like a flying carpet!
First it was Pontiac Trans Sport (as well as the cousins, Chevrolet Lumina and Oldsmobile Silhouette), and then around 1997 when it was redesigned, they kept the Pontiac Trans Sport and Oldsmobile Silhouette. I believe around 2001 they were both refreshed, the Pontiac became the Montana (in this vans case, it's a trim level) and Oldsmobile Silhouette stayed around until 2004 or so. Around 2006 if I recall, the Pontiac Montana became the Montana SV6.
Just be aware, these vans had TERRIBLE crash tests. Also the interior materials are really really bad. Worse than anything from Dodge or Ford.
It is true that both these U vans and the Astro and GMC Safari RWD vans got poor crash test results from the IIHS. However in another study compiled by IIHS on vehicles with the highest rate of death and serious injury, all these vans were given high marks for the least amounts of death and serious injuries. So since there were a lot of these vehicles sold during their production years, ether those van owners were some of the safest drivers or that some times IIHS does not have a clue about real world crashes.
Great score Randy. A little TLC and she'll provide solid, reliable and affordable transportation for a family.
We had a 2004 Pontiac Montana and we drove it all over Michigan for years and years I was little but I don't ever remember it breaking down.
The compressor runs the automatic rear wheel load leveling system,,,
Wow!!! That brings back memories of my parents 98 Transport Montana. It was a decent van!!!! I wish it scored better in the crash test.....
Own this van (2005) and it’s by far my favourite vehicle! It’s reliable. Very reliable!
A very good buy Randy. I got my 1997 Pontiac TransSport for $500 and I still needed to put in about $500 to make it a daily driver. My A/C did not work and even with a can of the repair in the bottle, it still did not work. My lines were too far gone I guess. i used it mostly for a winter beater so the A/C issue was not a super concern (the heat was good on it)
Yes after 1998 Pontiac re named the transport the Montana. Them the ventures and silhouette's were tough sobs.
My '06 Chevy UPLANDER is BulletProof! First chevy I've dailied, that didn't fall apart. Ugly-ness of the Uplander is just icing on the cake
If it doesn’t end up selling, it would be a good candidate to service up, and give away to a family that needs it! 🤷♂️
100%
Great statement Alex
Yes, sell this very safe van.
This is a pretty sweet Transport. Don't find them this clean anymore especially and surprised it wasn't trashed by kids! Truly a great find and another great video. Also yes these were redesigned in 1997 and became its own model in '99. Loved this year and the earlier ones though like 95. Great content Randy👍.
My dad had a almost identical van ,except his was in the pewter color ,so this van brings back so many memories for me!
A lot of people will tell you those 3400 motors are bad for head gasket issues but really they are one the most reliable engines I’ve ever owned. As long you keep up on the oil and coolant changes those motors will last. They are a very simple push rod motor no turbos no variable valve timing no cylinder deactivation and no start stop crap. The power rangers is little weak at 170 to 185 HP but the low end torque is amazing and it’s one of the more silent engines I’ve owned you only really hear the valve springs ticking.
My pops has had 2 of these, uses it for work in construction. Removed all the back seats & just recently junked just first one after the head gaskets failed again & transmission was going so it wasn’t with it to him to repair it. A week later on Facebook market place we checked out a 98 (or 99) I think and bought it for 1400! We got the high trim I believe it came with the old VHS setup & stuff. These cars are a good reminder of GM! Comfortable spacey mini van good for work!!
This Trans Sport brings back memories. It was our family car growing up, ours was a 1998. When us kids got older my dad didn’t need a van anymore so he traded it in for a new Mercedes SUV around 2014. The van had 200,000 miles and the rockers were gone, we made a joke about us having to pay the dealer to take it on trade esp a Mercedes dealer, but they gave us $1000 for it.
Hi Randy I hope you had good weekend
Great vid randy, thanks for bringing back these old relics, always learn a lot from your videos !
I love a minivan , its like being invisible 😁
I had that exact van, same year and all. But mine was tan. I loved it. And it had really good gas mileage. I really miss mine
Those Pontiacs are hard to beat. My parents bought a 2005 Chevy Equinox new with the 3400 V6. Very reliable. I own the Equinox now.
Sucks the car did about as well as an egg in the crash test.
Showed this video to my wife. We owned a green transport and she immediately told me that she wanted this one. Randy, I loved this video!! We loved our transport and this brought back memories of our van.
It took me the whole video to recognise this car, I’ve been in one a long time ago, kinda. This car was sold as Opel/Vauxhall Sintra in europe and it’s notorious for almost failing the crash tests over here
I out that stop leak Freon in a 07 Ford Taurus air worked fine after that never had a problem. We have a 2017 caravan full loaded rear air. Had to take that in a month ago to get the air service Freon did not fix the air in the van. The air works now but of course it works better in our new bronco sport.
I enjoy the current roster of cars you got right now.
I was looking forward for this video. I've had a special good feeling for this vehicle 😊 Great video as always 😊👍
Amazing conditions, very good deal! Greetings from Milan, Italy!
I used to have a 5spd 2000 xterra, boy that old v6 from the frontier was a real dog. It was a fun off roader tho, and super functional. The non painted bumpers made regular repairs super easy and cheap! looking forward to more content on that one!
@Auto Auction Rebuilds Officialsweet how do I message you
@@RyanV78665 Hey man just warning you it looks like a bot scam and fake channel, there is no content when you click on the profile page of the guy.
The one bad thing is that you will not realize how fast you are going until you look down and see that you are 20 mph over the speed limit,, lol,,, just push the button on the end of the turn signal stalk to engage the cruise control,,, make sure that the switch is set to the on position,, :-)
i would like to see you get cars and fix them up some to resale like you have done in the past. this one would have been a good one to do that with, do the tranny service, get teh cruise going, clean it up and you probably could have gotten more out of it. i miss those fix to resale videos. you should bring those back! awesome video, still. i like this van too.
What a steal. Ultimate road trip van!
I knew two people in my neighborhood growing up with these vans (I think one was a Venture though) and my wife’s parents had the Silhouette WB edition. My parents were the odd ones out with a ‘98 T&C Lxi
Randy you are the copart king! Brilliant video
I learn alot from you, thanks I'm starting my own ✌️🙂❤️
This van will run and shift beautiful. We had people fight over these vans.
if cruze control doesnt work replace the 3rd brake lamp bulbs they work together ...happens on my 07 escape...when i replace the bulbs than cruze works
OK randy you have done it again I'm going to keep saying it randy this is why your videos are great you know this business better that most dealers keep doing it man awesome video
They 're solid vehicle's & everyone I've seen had over 200.k on the odometer. Good score Randy 💯 Salute 🎬🚘😎
Yeah man i have Opel Sintra 3.0 V6 which is EU variant of that same van. I love it and still runs like a charm. I use it as a company car and has done quite a job.
CHECK THE 3RD BRAKELIGHT! I thought the cruise control was bad in my 2000 Camry. I have over 455 K miles miles on her and none of those wherewith cruise control. Being ADHDI figured it was better if I didn't use it.. I found out though though that when I had the new spoiler added did with a Built-in LED break light rather than electrically disconnecting the original 3rd break light in the back window they just plucked the bulb. Toyota and GM for some reason have the cruise control connected to the brake lights and and since the old school Bob open pulled more power than the brighter LED one once the car thought there was a light at light out in the back And for safety reasons wouldn't allowouldn't allow cruise to engage. Is check the 3rd break light! I put the old ball back into my my Camry and the cruise started working.
This was called the Trans Sport from 1996 to 1998, then it was simply called Montana in 1999 to 2004, then Montana SV6 from 2005, to 2006.
I know, confusing, but that's GM for you.
Thanks for the video, Randy.
I would really like to see a detailing transformation video on this one!! Nice little van!!
Great deal on the van!! Someone will be so happy to get it!!
Just an idea: Give this to a family in need Randy.. such a nice thing to do and the video will do very well too i'm betting
I once owned a 1997 Pontiac Trans Sport Montana Edition, it was fully loaded with power moonroof, but only had the passanger side sliding door and no leather seats. A one year only thing it said Trans Sport on the rear bumper on the center. Mine died just shy of 300,000 miles of connecting rod failure. Loved that van.
Nice find man. Love it, if I was near I'd totally grab it lol. Love older GM's
I had a 2003 Transport and it lasted for 250,000 miles you just have to keep an eye on the coolant they over heat easy if its low but that 3400 motor are the best
if I lived close, I would buy it in a heartbeat
Good call on the Pontiac!!!!
Absolute 💯 % excellent score Randy 👏
When I worked at a shop, we had a 2003 Montana shuttle/courtesy van, 250k miles on it, drove like new still. Never had head gaskets or trans work but it did have a rocker arm stud pull out once at high rpm.
Great one and deal😎👌
That van it's look so good to me .. yesterday i had to pay a motorcycle taxi to bring my mother to hospital...
I feel you Randy, about not wanting to get rid of that one. That thing is nice and clean. My neighbor has one of those. He has a couple car, but never wants to get rid of it because it's been very riable.
In theory you should be able to get $2,500 for this.. I think it's worth that much
Awesome show.
Please consider detailing this one up.
I like the old dustbuster style too
Awesome car Randy! You got a winner!
Grew up in a 98 Pontiac transport Montana in that gm beige color, leather seats and both power doors if I’m not mistaken. Even took my drivers license test in it. Dad got rid of it when it blew a head gasket.
Great van for a mom or dad on a budget. 👍
The Transport looks good...very well maintained...are you going to post a follow up to the 85 Accord?? Looking forward to it.
Your little tan Honda is my absolute favorite! ❤️
I love the old van too
Very nice van randy, make a great family vehicle
Is that not the "low coolant" light I'm seeing on the left side there? I love these vans. Very tempted to drive over from Tulsa to pick it up. Nice find.
Such a nice van! ❤️
our trans port Montana had the 3800 in it the only problem we ever had out of it was for some reason if you had the traction control of the transmission would slip if you were on a long trip and drove at 80 plus miles per hour so we just left traction control off.
I personally would throw the mouse trap in the trash instead of keeping it in the van and handling the disease on it. Clean van great pickup Randy.
Helluva nice vehicle,Liked the vid, Glad this one was a good 👍 one for you, Fullview always
I rented one years ago was extremely comfortable.
Wow nice ride, could use that van Randy
The only issue I have had with a Montana is getting air out of the coolant system. I have one now and can't seem to get the air out of the coolant system. It starts up fine then starts to heat up then I have to turn the bleeder screw and let the air out then it runs fine and runs cool.
I love that van
Nice find
I love that van Randy! I would totally buy it but I cannot afford that price tho! Love the videos! Keep it up!!😊
Memories of my Oldsmobile Silhouette .. what a wonderful riding rig. I dont mind a minivan one bit!
I really like that Montana just wish I lived closer I'd buy it and drive it every day bcuz I haul Amish around up here in Lagrange,IN. The van I have a 05 Ford freestar with 317plus miles is driving good but a 2nd van would be very helpful and give this Ford a break lol. Love the videos keep up the good work. Ty David
If I remembered correctly they changed the transport over to the Montana halfway at 98 due to the safety crash rating they were not a bad van but they had head gasket issues I remember that due to the nylon head gaskets and transmission and power doors also heat never worked as well
You made out like a bandit on this one Randy. I love these old minivans. They drove like cadillacs LOL
I had a aunt that had the warner bros one with bugs bunny
I remember seeing the commercials for the Venture Warner Bros edition. It had a VCR in the back
We used to rent these all the time from Avis whenever we went out of town to visit family when they were available along with the Chevrolet Venture.
Another AAR Diamond in the rough for sure. Randy this is a winner my friend. 2500.00 all day long with a good Cleaning from the Auto spa LLC. 😌
That's a very nice car Randy it's a pity they don't accept imports over ten years in n Jamaica
I wish I could buy it. Looks nice. I hear that some had windshield wiper motor problems on these.
That is a great deal Randy. I may bid on that myself
I would love to see you do something with the camaro whether you keep it stock or not
Tbh I love the Pontiac content can't wait for the next Pontiac video and a side note I got excited when I saw the Camero because I thought it was a firebird when I saw the side man was I disappointed lol I gotta stop confusing the two when it's the older generations
Love the van
How you doing buddy love that yellow t bucket good luck with the card hope you an your lady are doing great
