Your right, last generation was the end of the consoles. Now their all about internet, and massive patches because... who needs to ship a completed product? Apparently nobody.

jackbrokeheart That's too bad man! Keep trying though. Ask him an open, simple question that would interest him. Maybe something like "Mark, do you feel that...?" (Maybe you could ask, Mark, do you feel that Derek is being degraded by playing bad games?") Also, make sure your spelling and grammar are correct.... Most of all, it's just random chance that he'll pick your question though.

Actually, Mad Max never had much depth in the previous movies. He was always the somewhat passive, silent warrior, who's mostly in the background, wandering into other characters' stories and joining their conflicts. So the fourth movie concentrating more on Charlize Theron is really keeping in step with how the other films were structured.
Game industry should be simplier, today's games are full of giant marketing campaings, astronomic production cost and generic mechanics to fit the most wide public as possible, i miss the feeling of sit in front of my tv and enjoy a few hours of pure fun.
I picked up my Pioneer Laser Disc player that plays both sides of the disc with S-video out for $15.00 at Goodwill.

Bodhi Bird Studio Good score. I picked up a player from a flea market for around $20. It's definitely worth looking around for a player locally. Ebay prices are pretty high and the shipping for one of those beasts would make my wallet cry uncle. lol
So you don't have to flip it? Just put it in once and it can play both sides? Not familiar with laser disk players at all honestly. Didnt know other players couldn't do that.
No you don't have to flip the disc on my Pioneer the Laser rotates around to the other side of the disc automatically.
Bodhi Bird Studio I am so jealous. I paid $25.00 for my Pioneer Laser Disc player without S video and only plays one side of the disc... At least it came with my choice of 5 movies.

Episode 1 would have been a lot better had they not killed off Darth Maul and saved him for the rest of the prequels or at least Attack of the Clones.

For me the new Mad Max is the best action film I've seen for the last 10 years or so. I am not a guy who normally uses generalisations or hyperboles. I just really think it's that good. I haven't seen the old ones in years - I'll get to it one of these days.
the only things that mattered to me back in the day was my dog, vidgames.... and pizza... beer came later... :) then it was all three..

I agree with your Mad max half review, I thought it was fun, and good but I left the theatre with a something was missing feeling, l. It looked great but the film itself didn't really blow my mind like the originals
That's because back then they actually did all the stunts. Now everything is just CGIed
No it's mostly real cars and stunt work. I can't wait to see it again (in 2D)

I don't think the stakes were as high in the new one. In the end they essentially did nothing. They left the citadel, had some awesome battles and then they had to go back to the citadel... The story is completely overshadowed by the incredible action sequences. So it's not so obvious how average the story really is overall.
Nooooo the r zone strikes again. Can anything stand up to it's overwhelming power.
I think we all know which Laserdisc system is king...the one that plays Genesis games.
