Excellent Ben, You still are The 5 - STAR OUTFITTER IN THE USA! Thanks for all you've done and the excellent products I've gotten from you.....ATB.

Since you stand to gain from this review, I really appreciate how honest you were. I’m still under the impression that these are worth buying, but you weren’t overly effusive and didn’t try to hide some of the items’ small downsides. The fact that you seem to care about customer satisfaction and your reviews’ credibility is pretty cool. Thanks!

Best long underwear there is period. I have wore this stuff down to 40 below zero, have had to switch to the 400 gram and go multiples for very long periods of time 12 to 19 hours. In 38 years it's the best I've ever found. And been at Bens Backwoods is by far the best Outfitter in the country.

Hi, thanks for the review. I've got both the 200 and 400 models. They both started developing tear spot and loose thread after only few uses...to me the fabric itself it's just too fragile

Hey, Its possible you have them sized too tight? I have had 200g last 10 years before replacing them, armpit holes will develop sooner but does not affect comfort or function.

I'm pretty sure they are sized right. I just wore my 200 as base layer and the fabric brushing against my backpack started to snag a bit. I sent pictures to Woolpower and they told me it's because of loose weave. All in all I like the fabric but for my usage (walking up and down the Alps with a backpack) it's very fragile. Sure it must be worn with some kind of outer layer above.

Smartwool 250 100% wool or the 150 89% merino wool 11% nylon is way better. Better for high intensity activity too as you won’t sweat in it as much as woolpower.

Have you tried the woolpower 200g? Because of the terry cloth weave it is far more breathable than anything else on the market....sweating is because of too many layers or over dressing.

@@bensbackwoods actually sweating is something that any human will experience regardless of what they are wearing, especially when partaking in high intensity activity. Lol

How much does the zip up weigh?
