I bought two felted wool vests (one hooded, one without a hood) from Seine River Shepherds this winter. Their farm is located in Manitoba and you can buy from their website. Wonderful garments. Wore them almost every cold day this winter. Very reasonably priced too. For a very warm wool sweater I have a couple of sweaters from the Hebridean Woolhouse. They sell a top notch item and I wear these sweaters on the coldest Canadian winter days. The sweaters are the same color of the sheep - a dark brown. For blankets I buy the Macausland blanket. An old traditional item, good value for dollar, a quality blanket. Tim knows this blanket as he sells them at his store The Canadian Outdoor Equipment Co. I typically visit Prince Edward Island each summer so I drop in to MacAusland's. I also have a wool sleeping bag! Custom Woolens make them. They are located in Alberta. The sleeping bag is best for a camp or cottage not exactly the item you want on a canoe expedition. Wool is my choice for cold weather comfort. But like all choices wool has it pros and cons so row your own canoe and don't sink mine!

@@TheHappyCamper I wore the vest without the hood as another layer below my winter coat and it was very warming. I believe the farmer's name is Randy. Good guy to deal with.

    So, no wool Speedo’s? 😆
I’d like to hear Tim do a little short talk on Merino wool vs Alpaca wool. I’m deep into the Alpaca wool game. It’s almost as soft as cotton imo.

Tim should do a new version of Trivia Pursuit. One of the pie shapes could be "medical terms".

I’ve heard that itchy wool stimulates the skin and increases bloodflow, which makes you warmer.

Alpaca is nice, and Kashmir is awesome.

Wonder where Smartwool sources their wool? I live in merino wool all thru the chiller weather. Cozy stuff.

It doesn’t. It’s an ‘animal cruelty’ issue
