Owen Hart falls to his death in the middle of a show in front of thousands of people, Vince has them haul his body off and then continues on with the show with Owen's blood still on the mat as if it wasn't a big deal. If that doesn't say everything about his character, I don't know what does.
Kevin Hart (Owen Hart's brother) in the Netflix documentary , _Mr. McMahon_ , went on to say he didn't believe McMahon truly believed the show must go on because if Shane McMahon had been the one injured while performing he would have cancelled the rest of the shows...
FACTS but also patrick said that kane did that katie vick segment where he had sex with a deceased body on raw in 2003 even though that was triple h and he also said that the the name wrong of the PPV owen hart died at and called it over the limit not “No mercy” since wwe did not start doing the “over the limit” PPV until 2009.
And I don’t even think it was designed to break at the top. Foley said they were gonna hang and climb down from the roof lol. Original design was just so no one from DX could get in and Shawn couldn’t get out…lol plus him saying Kane did it but the video you can clearly hear Triple H had me laughing haha.
As a childhood wrestling fan and military member, it is abhorrent what happened to Ashley, but it also makes sense that two of the best organizations at covering up sexual assault did so.
I was a big fan of the divas, for obvious reasons, as a kid but even then I thought they were too gratuitous with what they put them through on air. It didn't help that they were literally treated like barbie dolls during that era when Ashley spilled the beans that they had to jump through hoops to get any semblance of training for actual wrestling. They had little to no professional training that Ashley and who knows who else got injured during practice.

He also had some weird obsession with bullying Jim Ross. I remember back in 2005 when Jim was written off TV because he had colon cancer, and Vince decided it would be a good idea to write a vignette around it. Vince played a character called "Dr. Heiny", and he spent the segment pulling things out of Jim's colon like a football helmet and Jim's own head (get it?). I soured on Vince ever since that moment, and it's even harder to forget considering it aired the night before my birthday. Jim may have been involved in an angle with the McMahons at the time, but it was so ghastly, and the audience had no clue how to react beyond stunned silence.
who was the one that mocked the stroke and said God only did half the job to Jim Ross? Was it Vince? For some reason I feel like it was JBL or something, can't remember exactly.
@@lilsand. I remember Vince mocking Jim's face by contorting it, putting on a cowboy hat, and yelling "STONE COLD!" The audience didn't care for that one either. I feel like it was JBL who said that, but I guarantee Vince piped those lines to JBL personally.
@@mrmusickhimself I think WrestlingFlashback covered all of the times Vince was an ass to J.R, it was just sad man, it was all over some petty thing where J.R stood up for himself, can't remember the details exactly. Weren't children watching this in the US? I always thought this was just some fake fighting and cheesy storylines, but some of this is almost akin to snuff porn.
The rating system puts the responsibility on the households; if it's PG-14 and is broadcasted at night, why do you let your children watch it? that would be their argument. They eventually cut it back big time after year 2000 and it became a lot less extreme
We used to watch it Saturday morning the the early 90s. Much more kid friendly. Weird how oiled up men in underwear fighting is ok for children but oiled up women in underwear figjting would not be ok.
For someone, anyone, of his status, it takes a mountain of evidence and controversy WITH a media shitstorm. Even back in the 80s, Vince already had many accusations and scandals but he was able to wriggle out of each one due to his connections and how much easier it was back then to bury anybody trying to smear him even if it was true. This last one just proved too big to bail out of with money because information isn't as easily buried due to the internet and having a bunch of ex-WWE people speaking out at the same time.
I'm a corporate employee and do 12 hr physical work in 110F heat and over 60% humidity. Every morning our manager gives a speech in which he acknowledges our hard work, says that we can take a break at any time, while also reminding us of how fortunate we are to be paid that good and get bonuses. Yes you can officially stop work when the heat gets too much, but do that too often and suddenly they start noticing the leaves you're taking and the overtimes you're skipping. It's all consensual on paper but very sinister manipulation goes into it
This wasn't much of a secret. Several ex WWE wrestlers went on record in the past saying that the character of Mr. McMahon was really Vince "dialed-up" and Vince "not trying to be nice."
There is no downfall and no justice. Everyone knew he was a pervert and he roamed free his whole life, covering hideous crimes, causing deaths left and right while swimming in money. And he still does swim in money, enjoying retirement and his last days.
True. But will he be with Jesus when its all over? If not and he goes down into Hell ........🛑 I don't even like thinking about that kind of torment. Smh
I'm surprised Patrick didn't mention the whole Super Fly debacle. When Vince paid off local law enforcement to turn a blind eye to the evidence of how a dead woman ended up in a hotel room with one of his stars. Jimmy "Super Fly" Sukka is a sad example of CTE and it's effects on people who sacrifice their bodies for their career.
There is no way a majority, if not all the locker room knew exactly what Vince was getting away with. Stephanie knows EXACTLY who her Dad is, but she protected him all this time. Yet she claims to be a feminist...
I mean triple H was complacent in a lot of things vince did... like he and Vince conspired to leave Chyna out to dry when she was going through hell irl, cheating on her with Stephanie and firing Chyna and smearing her name to keep her from speaking out. She died almost immediately after due to drug overdose.
That's almost EXACTLY how he bailed out Jimmy Snuka from responsibility for his murder of Nancy Argentino: they dragged out time, postponing the court date until he was found "too old to stand trial". @@soccerchick1 don't know anything about Hefner, lemme guess, it wasn't just a TV character he played either?

That is the story of the world though, Vince has no exclusivity on that. The roman emperors used to have kids as se%X slaves, because they got bored of regular sex. This is the world we have always lived on.
@@ignacio6454 Not excusing/condoning it, but the Romans did not have the modern concept of childhood that we're acquainted with today. A child was regarded as an apprentice adult rather than as an innocent undeveped being who has to be protected. People don't realize it but a lot of shit we think of today as "common sense" or "objective" morality has only existed for the past couple of centuries. Hell, some of it is only decades old. Attitudes towards statutory rape, for example. If a movie like One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest was remade today, I can guarantee they'd change the background detail of the protagonist was a 30-something year old statutory rapist who fucked a 15-year-old girl to something else, because a modern audience wouldn't consider that to be a trivial or humorous matter like in the original 1970s movie.
Chris Jericho didn't actually break Chyna's thumb. Also you forgot to mention that Triple H was imitating Kane in the Katie Vick angle. That angle was gross and completely unnecessary regardless.
Indeed, I remember that story arc and I was like, "What the fuck." because of how appalling and unnecessary it was. I mean, clearly it was a mannequin and the act wasn't real but to imply necrophilia in any way, shape or form is just so wrong.
What's crazier about this is that after what happened in january Mr.Mcmahon got banned from WWE HQ so Vince isn't allowed to come back to his own company due to those disgusting allegations
Couldn’t be happier to see Vince fall and fall hard. He has done so much for WWE and for wrestling as a whole, that is a given, and that will never be taken away from him. But it doesn’t excuse his conduct towards those women he wronged, especially Ashley Massaro, may she rest in peace, and Janel Grant. @@empressink_ he also seems to not be able to differentiate between on screen angles and real life occurrences multiple times. This video is disappointing.
I think the surprising (like eyebrow raising, not actual shock) thing was finding out actors who were faking a psycho on the screen ending up like that IRL. Cryme Time weren't actual thugs and Undertaker doesn't manage a mortuary... But Paul Bearer DID. So you never know what's a shoot. Lemme explain: I don't expect Bruce Willis to be a cold blooded action hero in real life, right? Neither I expected Kane being an actual monster who supports russian invasion of Ukraine in realsies. So when Adam Page called him out on that I became a fan of the Hangman. And now I hate chair shots to the head. NATO is being greedy over some glorified missle parking silos (Ukraine has nothing more to offer than that).
That wasn't Kane fondling "Katie Vick" in the casket. That was Triple H when he was feuding with Kane, making him look like a different kind of freak than he already was.
It’s still disrespectful for Vince to continue the Over The Edge PPV after Owen Hart legitimately just DIED.

For someone, anyone, of his status, it takes a mountain of evidence and controversy WITH a media shitstorm. @@vondoge7146 jail for what?
@@vondoge7146 For faking something gross?😂😂😂
Bro that opening shot actually startled me. Diddy is fuggin EVERYWHERE!
Feels like Massaro was suicided by Vince.
Learned a trick from the Clintons
And Chyna
that poor girl.
Massaro story was so disgusting i felt so bad for her.
It’s still disrespectful for Vince to continue the Over The Edge PPV after Owen Hart legitimately just DIED. I get people paid to get there and watch the event live but Owen Hart died in the ring, and all of sudden he wants it to be continued?? I feel like after that incident they should’ve just stopped the show from there and should’ve done the rest of the matches on the next Raw.
SmackDown wasn't a show at the time
@@rileyholden-zc9ip that’s what i figured, i thought it was before that
That match was a bad idea from the start to where Owen should've just said no
@@KrisBryant99 i mean the entrance was a part of his character but the harness broke off
@@SENSEISPYD3R he could've done another entrance and frankly that character was a joke to be doing all of that.
This is sick why isnt Vince Mcmahan not in prison?
He's rich.
Rich people don’t get punished.
There better be a part 2 to this.,...ty for your work!
It's wild to think the most tame thing he did was try to allow bets for scripted matches
Bets for scripted matches are weird, but all bookmaking and gambling is, and it isn't different from betting on a plot turn in a soap opera. Which is still weird.
Why does Vince McMahon nowadays look like Professor Pyg from Batman?
It really does look as if he is wearing a human mask.
And the pig guy from Manhunt
Effects of years of abusing steroids, same is happening to the Rock
The power imbalance and subsequent abuse can't be understated. My heart goes out to all those who suffered in silence for so long. Hopefully, this will spur much needed change and justice.
21:33 - My jaw dropped. That last highlighted sentence there. Wow.
Wow. That's a ship sinker. You're pretty much done after that.
