    I am surprised there is no mention of peripheral neuropathy. I have been taking this for years now for my idiopathic neuropathy along with L-Carnitine. I cant afford to take as much as I would like but it does help whereas nothing else has. I can tell the difference if I ever run out. I pay more for the R-lipoic stabilized version.

    Should we also take sunflower lecithin in order to provide us with acetyl choline?

    • @NootropicsExpert
      @NootropicsExpert  Рік тому +4

      R-Lipoic Acid increases acetylcholine production by activation of choline acetyltransferase and increases glucose uptake. This process supplies more Acetyl-CoA for the production of acetylcholine.
      The only other things you need to make acetylcholine are choline molecules in your brain by using either CDP-Choline or Alpha GPC along with Vitamins B1 & B5.
      I do NOT recommend lecithin because you do not know how much choline you'll get from it or whether it will even cross the blood-brain barrier. Better to use the above.

    Thank you for this video. I have a couple of questions. Question 1: I see some brands offering 600mg of ALA. Assuming it's a 50/50 blend of R and S, is it worthwhile getting a blend or is it better to stick with just the R form? Question 2: I recently came across DL-ALA, which claims to be more stable. Is this a good option and would this also be a 50/50 blend or something entirely different? I'm hoping to treat Alzheimer's. Thank you.
