Amy was wrong 😅 The water is really orange because of IRON in the water rather than tin! This is why we aren’t an educational channel haha 😋 Thanks for watching 💕
Just catching up on some old videos, Wes - compare yourself at 5:50 to the Wes that exists now. Absolutely smashed it - you may still be anxious, but you're doing it anyway and shown it doesn't stop you
Jim and I really love your teamwork. Well done, Amy and Wes. We have seen your ups and downs from episode 1. We are very proud of you. You have done so well. Such an inspiration.
The tunnel stood symbol for setbacks, fears and disappointments, and you overcame them! Rewarding moments make it all worthwhile, putting up the chimney, closing the doors somehow, finally a cold drink at Subway, and meeting your family who got a taste of narrowboat experience. All the best wishes and thank you for sharing in honesty, both ups and downs.
You are right! There is always so many things that make the scary and stressful moments worth it! And you apreciate the little things much more 🥰🤗 Thanks for watching! Take care
That finger looks infected Amy, hope I'm wrong, but if not I hope you got it sorted x I really feel for Wes. When you are suffering from anxiety, all the little things chip away at you, build up and eventually overwhelm. Taking the wins like the hot shower and bossing the Harecastle tunnel are the way to get through. I've seen other people moor with the duck hatch open, I'm sure Heidi Manning from the pirate boat did recently so you're in good company, but what a novel way to sort it 🤣 I love your channel, you're both so open and honest and show boating warts and all x
It turned out to be a whitlow, so it went away in a few days thankfully! 😊 I agree _(Wes)_, you have to focus on the positives to keep going 🤗 Haha, Yes we laughed when we saw Heidi do the same thing as us in her episode! Although she fixed hers a _little_ more sensibly than us 😆🏴☠️ Thank you so much for saying that, it really means a lot as we are passionate about showing *all* sides to boating! 🥰 Thanks for your lovely comment! x
ha ha - next time you can't shut the duck hatch just loosen your lines and push the boat away from the bank a few inches - much less chance of damage that way.
I think you will find the card referred to is the same as the prepaid card CRT sell for pump outs. However I may be wrong.Great to be able to share your experience with family 👍
Ah yeah, you are probably right! It was definatley some kind of pre paid card we needed, just wish we had of noticed sooner haha 😅 Thanks for watching! 😊
This was our first tunnel experience and our dog hated it!! Our horn stopped working just as we entered so CRT lent us a horn... sadly we abandoned our 70ft boat at Stoke due to dog and human anxiety and we sold the boat and bought a much smaller one!!! Well done..... it was poignant watching where we had cruised!! One day we will conquer this tunnel again with a more relaxed dog and me!! Xx
Aw, they can be very scary so thats understandable! 💗 70ft boats seem so much more stressful, so I hope one day you can get back out there and feel more comfortable! Wes suffers with anxiety too so you arent alone 🤗 Thanks for watching xx
Love love live your blogs. So natural. So wonderful & homely. Hope ur finger gets better soon how did u do it ? Also I gotta say I think your Mum is a boating natural. Omg she looked so at home. Best wishes and stay safe a big hugs to Rufus.
Thank you so much, thats so lovely of you to say! 😊 It was just a whitlow, from biting my nails 😬 Its all better now! 😊 Aw, ill pass that on to Mum! Big hugs 🐕🐰
Hi, Iam new to your channel and been watching your videos, currently sat watching episode 21, loving your videos so far ❤ makes me wanna live on a boat even more ❤
I presume you have sorted your toilet seat etc by now but thetford did a “fresh up” kit for those model toilets that included seat and lid that just clip on and a modified cassette that had wheels in the casing and a folding handle. We bought one for our previous caravan.
Wow that was a long tunnel. I’d be anxious about doing it too. Think I’d need a hard hat 😄 Great to see your family enjoyed their time on the boat. Hope you managed to get the washing sorted. Take care. Nick
So nice to see your family, I do hope your finger gets better soon. I was just wondering where the tissue boxes got wet on the floor in the cubby is that by the kitchen? Was curious if an aluminum pull out pantry shelf would fit in that area, to help keep items off the floor and organized. Just an idea. What kind of refrigerator do you need a 12 Volt? Happy boating to you & your Fur babies. 💛👋😀
Yes we love family visits! Amy’s finger got better quite quickly thankfully! Nothing major, just needed some time to fix itself 😊 Thankfully it didn’t get damp in the big hole in the kitchen. It was where the original fridge was fitted, so we didn’t want to put more shelving in 😊 thank you for the idea though! A 12 volt fridge was what we were after as it draws so much less power than the 240V one the boat came with. Thank you!! Take care 🥰❤️
Life jacket save my life when I fell in on the locks after this tunnel because the gunwale was wet and I slipped not realissing it was wet from the tunnel drips on a decent weather day
We love watching you guys, even with the hard days you are so genuine and your love for the canal shines through! Can I ask a question? I love the font that you use for the text overlays on your videos, can you share which font it is please? Thanks
I was wondering after watching 20 videos, have you both lost weight? You seem to do a lot of walking and heavy pushing. I would think, unless you were both hitting the gym before, that you have gained fitness. Love your videos.
our weight fluctuates a lot which we are okay with, but we are definitely a lot fitter and our stamina has built up a lot with boat life! 💪🏻 we both feel stronger and healthier, but still love our food 😊
Amy was wrong 😅 The water is really orange because of IRON in the water rather than tin!

Ewwwww iron? Where from ?
I must say that Wes is the magnet master. He seems to retrieve everything that falls in.
Well done Wes, tough day. Amy is the perfect person to be around as she is so cheerful and caring.
Thank you, Amy is great and she really helps to keep me grounded. 💗
thanks for watching! 😊

She’s not a fan of being on the water funnily enough haha! 😅 but I’ll tell her!

@@BoatTime you're welcome x

we opted for the risky but lazy way 😅 but yeah, loosening the ropes is the better option for sure haha! Thanks for watching 🥰

It was very low in places, hard hats would probably be a big help haha! 👷
Thanks for watching and for your lovely comment as always Nick ☺️
What a lovely vlog, the tunnel was scary. Hope your finger is better, ❤
Once we were in and adjusted it was fun! But the headroom was very low at places 👀😵💫
It’s better now thank you! Thanks for watching 🥰
