    Nice. Here on the upper Texas coast I never see anyone using a bucktail jig for flounder.....not as a double hook rig or a single hook rig. In all my years here I have never seen the buctail used for flounder. But it works well for you no doubt!

      Hey man, sorry for the waaaayyyy late response here, but most of my rod decisions are made with my kayak in mind, so I’m always looking for something to get me in the tight spots!

    just subbed, great video. Just be a little easier reelin' em up, every time they do that classic head shake they're trying to spit it out and if you have too much pumping action goin on, your more likely to rip it out their mouth.

    Just found your channel and subbed. I have a small Jon boat, and am worried that if I drift for flounder the current will carry me too fast to catch fish. Have you ever run into that problem? If so, how do you avoid it?

    • @Pk-io6xe
      @Pk-io6xe 2 роки тому +1

      If its actual water current you would need either a drift anchor of sorts or a trolling motor. Is its the wind a drift sock would help

    • @georgerigsby513
      @georgerigsby513 Рік тому +1

      Attach a tied rope to your boat, put about 8 to 10 foot of slack in the rope, tie on a bucket, and throw it overboard. This will slow your drift.

      All penns up to a 4000 are 6:2:1, all penns above that size are slightly lower. 5:6:1 I believe
