- In this video a vintage and antique seiko 5 with 6309 movement is fully restored to its full potential. 5 logo was missing which is replaced. Lume was missing from one hand so we re-lumed both minute & hour hand. Installed new crystal and polished the case and bracelet.

An interesting Frankenwatch You have, indeed. The Dial says Seiko 6349 Movement, but both the Case Back and the Automatic Bridge tells 6309.
The Movement itself then clearly is a fully jewelled 6349. A Typical Second Hand Mismatch of available parts lying around. 😉
It's the best movement I had service. It's services friendly. Some body need I don't want automatic . Ur service people can change regular key system. Like alwyn

you forgot the gasket that go's before the watch and you should of paint it on a black enamel and should also buff the watch

Thank you. Same crown was used. Back gaskets were replaced afterwards.
where do you find the vintage seiko parts? I have a 6309-4030 that needs some parts but i cant find them anywhere to buy, only listings of the part numbers

The yellow one is mercury lotion & the clear one is isopropyl alcohol

You showed the timegrapher with the daily deviation slowly dropping by itself. Is that normal?
It doesn’t drop by itself. It was adjust from +117 s/day to 0s/day.
We made a video of how to adjust time keeping of a watch with time grapher.

No service for the mainspring?
I noticed that too. Maybe he doesn't have a mainspring winding die set. A good set are expensive.
Also, did you notice he hand cleaned all the parts? Ultrasonic cleaners are inexpensive now. They clean better than by hand and are a time saver. Lastly he didn't even clean the rust or glue on the date dial or brass area around the day/date dials. Pieces of that old glue or rust could break free and jam the movement. Sloppy.
