In this video, we'll be taking a look at Blind Faith's iconic chord progression. This simple, but beautiful, chord progression is something that everyone should know! - Навчання та стиль
For those who don't know, this is what's known as the line cliche progression. It's one of Clapton's favorites, and he used it on many of his classics(Bell Bottom Blues,Let it Grow,Let it Rain, etc). It is also one of my personal favorites, and I've written many of my own songs with it.
Blind Faith, I knew it! Sounds great, great video Tony!
Excellent lesion Tony! I've enjoyed playing this song for years, but it's great to see it being taught! Love these videos!!
This song is just awesome! Glad you showed it to us.
You are the reason I've been waiting so long.
Great lesson! Wish you would have spent a little time on the picking pattern and the first lick with the D chord though. Just can't seem to pick them up from the video. Thanks for getting me hooked on this chord progression! Long time viewer.
Thanks for this lesson
thank you for counting out strum patterns
Great video. You are a good teacher. This is such a beautiful tune.........beautiful song by Steve Winwood. I've been performing this song for decades to audiences, both playing & singing it at the same time. The high vocals are extremely difficult. Nowadays, I have to "cheat a little" by singing lower, alternate notes in the vocal. Still works & sounds good. Anyone else out there play guitar & sing at the same time???
And for all of you beginners: if you have a good ( to great ) singing voice, you should really learn & get used to playing the acoustic guitar & singing at the same time. It makes all of the difference in the world. You'll go from your listeners/audience enjoying your playing vs CAPTIVATING YOUR AUDIENCE.
If you do have a good to great singing voice, you really should learn to play & sing at the same time as soon/early as possible. After you've learned to play each song, force yourself to sing it at the same time. At first, you'll think "This is impossible, I just can't keep the timing of the guitar correct when I try to sing". But this is perfectly normal, you can do it, trust me. It's no different than when you were first learning your guitar chords. Remember how ya used to think: "This barr chord ( or any particular chord ) is impossible for me to do". Yet today, ya play it with ease.
The longer you put off singing at the same time, the more discouraged you will become for singing at all, while playing. For those who don't have a good singing voice.........just play & enjoy your guitar. You are still a talented & special person. Many great, ground breaking guitarists never sang at all.
that's so cool.
I was privileged to get this song from a drug addict 32 years ago. I can sing it, but now I can play it! Thank you Tony, one of my favorites.
Don't forget the crackling woodfire accompaniment.
The correct word is ‘addictive’. I’m an English major, I’m here to help.
Then you should consider a semicolon rather than a comma in the latter sentence.
Great lesson but not thorough in terms of picking pattern and riff at the end. Appreciate what you do but found it to be incomplete. Thanks though
My pinky can't reach that far 😊.
