Beautiful build! So clean! Makes me want to do this swap on mine! This was my dream car as well at 15 and was finally able to convice my dad to get one in 98. Ill never forget driving it off the showroom floor with him and driving it back home to CT from FL. He kept it perfect and even though my mom wanted to sell it multiple times, i was able to afford to buy it from him in 2007 and will be in my collection for ever. I couldn't agree more about e36 Ms finally getting their deserved respect. Those that want to knock it just don't know. I love that it doesn't have the wing either, just pure clean BMW classic lines...thanks Larry for showcasing this one!
The colour on this car looks amazing. Saw a video recently of Sean and this car and been dreaming of a new car project in this colour since. Weldone and great story too.
Omg Larry grewup sorta like me. I also had a childhood friend whose father was a Certified jr man tech who worked on german imports daily. He would buy mildy crash cars and fix them up so he repaired a e36 that just needed a new front bumper. That car was the coolest thing early 2000s with a huge subwoofer and trance music blasting.
Incredible build! I just love the OEM plus concept and this one was done so well. If it were mine personally, I would have done a moonroof delete if possible and would have gone with a BMW color like Hellrot or Laguna Seca Blue. I don't know what the owner ended up spending on this one, but I think it is worth whatever it took. Awesome E36 build. This looks almost like a “BMW Individual” build, similar to Porsche’s PTS program or McLaren’s MSO operations. *I ❤ the Pioneer DEH-80PRS headunit.* I have the same one in my E36.
great build Modded s52 better way to go and better sounding over s54 (cheaper also) Even better, turbo it keep it stock motor (550-610wheel hp on Eor93) trust me, it feels like you drive a brand new 2023 e36 M3 .. perfect power band, fun classic car, never gets old and keeps up with modern technology cars! 40k original miles making 610wheel 100k+ miles one on 93 has the setup for over 5 years, never broke down and still running like in the 1st day if you’re not sure what you need for your e36 this is the way to go!
S54 is definitely a one of the best swaps you can do to a US e36 m3. Euros already came with the legendary s50. And my first turbo kit on the e36 in the early 2000s used an active autowerke bottom mount log style turbo manifold 🤣.
Did you have the AA kit with the old 20g turbo? I used to know someone around 2003-04 who had that kit on his E36 M3. SUPER rare to see forced induction M3s back then so it certainly stood out. Was a damn fast street car for that era and I think ran a best of 11.9 @ 121mph
@@DLouie21 it did come with a 20g lol we used a gt35r instead. Made 540whp on a stock m52 with studs and gasket. This was 04-05. The only thing that sucks is the engine, and it doesn't really suck, it's just overshadowed by the S54, basically the M54 in a 330 is the same engine in the E36 M3.

Meh! I have an M3/4/5 w sport seats and a Stromung Exhaust. I don't like announcing my arrival, but everyone does takes notice that I’ve arrived. To each their own, but I prefer an understated look.
I think it's perfect, but I would do the interior different way.... Seats I would go with Recaro PP with ///M cloth inserts and rear seat delete is quite ugly so to say. Would be great with simplfied oem panels on sides and flat middle part wrapped in alcantara to match the rest of the interior. But besides that one of the coolest e36s I've ever seen.
awesome build, man!!.love the e36 and dont think it gets the love it deserves!?. colours ok imo but id have to swap the wheels for some style 24 m3 wheels and then its perfect!.
9.8 out of 10 build, and great to see a powerful OEM E36 M3 state side. But that exhaust sounds so bad. I wonder if fitting an OEM back box would reduce performance at all?
Awesome build, definitely a dream E36, I would just keep an original Radio, it's easily possible to add Bluetooth capabilities to a Business CD43 for example. But that's just a detail and personal taste. Congratulations!!
If the customer wants an OEM headunit which will support bluetooth - they could always go for the Becker traffic pro, and pair that up with a parrot kit. Thats the route I took.
This is a pretty common swap in the NASA GTS and TT world. Usually with come kind of funky tune to keep the engine just within compliance for the class.
That is a cool build and almost perfect, but I'd have a different steering wheel, maybe a Sparco Lap5 Suede wheel. Oh, and I would've wanted sound deadening and carpet in the rear seat delete because that can get loud inside. I want another E36 besides the one I have already. I'm leaning real hard towards a Euro Spec M3 if I can find one for reasonable money ,but that is getting harder every day that goes by. God I hate that Old BMWs are getting so damn trendy.
Very nicely done car, but I can't get over the fact that everything in this car has been done to a very high standard, only to have it on BC coilovers. This thing needs KW.

The only gripe I have with most 36 mods, always too low and too stiff. They were almost perfect out the box. All you need is linear rate springs and MAYBE sway bars. Next step square tire setup.
Amazing build the only thing that let's ot down is the steering wheel, very Garry from Halfords, it don't go. Especially when you want an oem feel. A high end screen would have been better than pioneer stereo again very Garry feel. Apart from that amazing but change those bits
