@adin tota There was no need for that clip. Why would I add a clip from way back during their learning period when I'm doing a clean analysis of what Wheein has become TODAY. Dance is about opinion, expression, skill, angles, feel, and just your personality. It was clear to me that the Lay it down video was not Wheein's best, nor did it showcase the amounts she could do. I go through hundreds of clips and pick the best ones I know that are not only up to date, but as well as can support the point I'm presenting. Lay it down was nice to see back when we didn't get to see alot of their talents in dancing. I've been a fan since 2015, and that Lay it Down video was so precious to us Moos throughout the eras. But let me be clear when I say, Be like me and Lolo aren't just "okay". Those covers are so good that they're incomparable to Lay it down. Her presentation was next to flawless in those clips. Moderato as well, if you saw the pops and the cleanliness of her angles you would know what I'm talking about (I suggest replaying it). Not to mention, because Moderato is a song Wheein wrote you can FEEL the sincerity and the personality she dumps into her performance and I believe that's just raw talent and potential at it's best.
1:32 I noticed wheein was the one who added the detail of moving her arms on time with the beat. She's the only member who does that, and the choreographers didn't do it either. Adding that really made a difference for the move, it looks like it's building up more hype to the chorus, and it looks cleaner.

Also, singers usually like her techniques more, and mamamoo ceo said she was the backbone of the team. Maybe she's lacking in areas where solar is perfect but also vise versa, she's more versatile and can easily pull off so many genres. I love both of their voices though but I prefer wheein voice in a lot of songs types than solar.

Also, I'm not arguing, each their preferences. Each one has something to add to the team and the result is always a masterpiece ❤

Omg I think this all the time. I want her to dance 100% at least once each for their performances of a new song as it could be tiring to do it every promotion. Her dancing is more eye catching than her members (said in the most respectful way ofc)
this especially gogobebe era. she wasn't feeling well at that time, but i think it's such a shame that sometimes she lacks energy because this woman is amazing at everything! it could be maybe she's preserving energy, or doesn't want to outshine the other members, or she just wasn't feeling like it lmao. i think underdancing also applies to moonbyul, because in some performance i feel like moonbyul could be sharper or have more energy in her moves. so far i think solar is the most stable member, stage presense + dancing wise. her energy every performance is always fresh and full of enjoyment. aside her being the oldest, it's definitely the reason why she was chosen as the leader

I bet the reason is to keep some strength for the vocals. As it's known mamamoo focus more on the singing and even with harder choreographies they are doing they like to be able to sing the whole thing, I guess all the members don't give their all in promos in order to be able to sing fully and not rely on lipsync. But yes, I'd love to see her giving her all it would prob benefit her more specially in terms of popularity.

really? They're completely different the way I see it.. Like not even a little bit close. Be like me was swiftness and rhythm. Lo lo was feel and smoothness. This one is kind of like a "very slowly pulling your arms backwards in a tight motion" i feel like it uses that concept a lot. I dunno, it doesn't give off the same vibe especially if you try it out!

Being small isn't a disadvantage, its the proportions generally that comes with height. So it does depend per person, if Wheein had taller and a bigger build she'd be able to show more well defined movements imo. I mean not a huge difference from the build she has now, but it'd be interesting to see her with like another 5cm on her.
there's downsides to being too short or too tall in dance, because of bodily proportions. that's not to say that it's impossible or incorrect to dance when you're above or below average height, it just takes more effort to achieve the same visual effect when dancing.
I'm honestly happy alot of dancers are starting to come out and analyse idols These are just some weaknesses I found in her technique *She focuses alot on bounce, groove and soft related movements that she at times can lack impact *Inconsistency in facial expressions. It's not that she's bad at it but rather inconsistent especially compared to the other dancers of MMM specifically Hwasa *Isolations could be better. This is mostly seen when she coordinates isolations and it can be messy
What's the optimal height for dancing? Wheein is around 5'2 (~158cm considering you should generally take 1 or 2 cm off celebrity heights) so i guess that's too short? Girls 5'7+ (170.2 cm) who tower over Wheein are considered very tall and can be harder to dance from what I've seen. idk lol
I'd say 5'5 imo because it's a really bad disadvantage as a dancer to not have the right body proportions. Like lengths of arm, legs, and etc. I mean most of this stuff kinda depends per person and proportions, I agree that Wheein could have more retension if she had a bigger build tho.

I like her dance a lot. But one thing I noticed is she hasn’t been able to put her own character in her moves like Solar and Washa does. Or she maybe struggling to build up a clear image of herself.

Of course I have!! It was one of my favourite Wheein dance videos before all her dance covers came out. Unfortunately, my point still stands. Even when analyzing her dance skills in that video you can tell she has struggle with retension (which is why there are times some angles she uses may look awkward) It has definitely come a FAR way and is now AMAZING, and I'm sure Wheein will continue improving. In fact I've shared some of Wheein's dance videos to one of my dance groups and we had alot of fun analyzing and copying it. Thanks for showing interest in this video 💕
@adin tota the moderato stage is iconic for three reasons. 1. It was the first real live showcase of Wheein's dance break. 2. It was a song she wrote herself. 3. There was clear fine line of her foundation of skill. If it was for comparison sakes, or if the video creator made it for comparison sakes then ofc they'd use debut or pre debut clips. First off, "Simple" does not show case improvent. Second, to be frank that dance was WAY before their debut. Her foundation of skill and how she carried herself was super messy, and you couldn't grasp what Wheein was going for. Moderato showcases everything needed to compare, but this video has little to no comparison present. It's a modern day dance analysis of Wheein's style. Which is why there are clips of AYA and why it was noted that she had improved so much more since Moderato was released.

I didn't use title for the reason being that it was more for flashiness than showcase of skill. The ending is quite good, but most of it was just for show than the in depths of dancing. It was quite basic movements, which yes Wheein did bring it to life, but it's not the best example for the idea I was going for.
Omg rewatching this clip is so heartwarming she's so cute! But also kinda stiff if you guys can see it, her torso movements kind of whack. There's little to no idea of retension in the vid 👁👄👁

Dancing looks better If a person is taller and has longer limbs

There's a lot more stiffness in her movements during Aya promotions. She's also been hospitalised a day or two ago I think for neck and back injuries.
