Byul is my first bias but when I see the pre debut video of wheein dance I shooketh, like wth she got so much potential. People may see Moonbyul as the best dancer in the group because of the sharp and swag vibe she exudes, but sometimes I see her lack of rhtyhm and cohesion in her moves. It either doesn't match with the beat or lack of detail. Solar and Hwasa also improved a lot since their debut, I'm impressed. Wheein is reaaally goood at it and I always enjoy her dancing. If she work on the basics more properly she can be a pofessional dancer. Her problem may be is lack of consistency in facial expression and confidence. I mean wheein has to set her mood right. But, what I adore in her is she is a fast learner and good with memory, such a good tool.kit for dancing I guess. Well, all in all I always love them regardless and thank you so much for your love and effort into making this video. As a moomoo, I think Wheein is the most versatile dancer. I love the girls equally, but from my perspective Solar: really good dancer but she can sometimes over exaggerate her moves especially if shes excited and it would look stiff. I love her expression the most though. Hwasa: I also like her expressions but sometimes she makes this weird angle when dancing. She's a great dancer though very sexy as well. Moonbyul: I love her dancing style, its more hip-hop. Very smooth moves and she's just so good at it. Watch eclipse, absence and ILJIDO where it shows how good she cam be. However, her dance style brings limitations. She personally hates doing overly girly hip movements. If you don't believe me watch her performance with JYP on Mama the one with the "booty" song (idk the title). She looks like shes dying from the inside. If you really give overly girly moves to Byulie, she will look really stiff. But I really like her dancing style the most, its my favorite. Now WHEEIN, the backbone of mamamoo. I have to admit she's the most versatile in the group. I love Byulie but Wheein can nail any dancing style. She can do sexy,girly, cute and hip-hop. She's an all rounder really. I honestly agree with everything that you said 👌 I cannot take my eyes of away of Wheein with Aya because of how distinct her movements are which makes one understand how the step should be executed(I usually look at her if I want to learn their dance step) . My bias is also Moonbyul but I cannot deny Wheein is a better dancer

Mastered dynamics However, isolations isn't honed and can lack impact. Facial expressions can be inconsistent especially compared to Hwasa 2. Solar This might be shocking but here's my observation. Good footworks. Has grasped the idea of facial expressions. Can keep up with other dancers. Good dynamics. Something that has impressed me is her taking one of the most challenging dance styles out there; pole dancing. She's very stiff and can lack impact in moves that needs strength; body locks and pops. Overall stiffness 3. Moonbyul Great facial expressions. Used hands, smirks and eyes to add flavour to the dance. Fair control of coordination. Fair control of Dynamics She has detail problems and has bad musicality, she's mostly late. She also can lack impact which completely negates her overall dynamics and can cause inconsistency in technique. 4. Hwasa Embodies Facial expressions and is the best in the group Fair control of torso waves(Maria). Good control of her hips and coordination of torso to hips Waves are easily executed. Executions can lack impact. Sloppy movements is visible. Inconsistency with technique. Detail problems. Angles are not perfect and can look awkward

I'd be curious to see an updated version of this because Hwasa has improved a lot and while I absolutely adore Moonbyul and she is a great dancer she hasn't been focusing on it as much.
I think maybe because everybody builds Byul up to be the best dancer in Mamamoo my expectations of her are really high and then I end up placing her fourth lol. With the right vibe, Moonbyul is an expert and it’s beautiful to watch. However I feel she’s genre locked a little, and she’s admitted to not like certain styles - which is totally fine.
Not very related but I'm glad that solar has been improving her dancing :) she knows what is over and under dancing and altough she may not be the best dancer in her group, she has been becoming better and better. On top of that, I respect the fact that she can pole dance. Like omg that shit takes hella core strength and control!!! I love her so much❤️❤️
This is a great point to raise, but she does it on purpose. It's her own style, Solar often does it too. Overdancing isn't as noticeable on their figures because they're quite small but it happens often between the two. It seems like Hwasa does do it intentionally, you can see it in her expressions and the small details.
I totally agree with all the ranking, I always thought that there are also some parts where moonbyul and wheein hear the beat and hit it super well while solar and hwasa can actually hit the dance a bit off beat. All great dancers nonetheless tho. Wheein seems to hear every little detail and it reflects her personality too, she gets quiet and listens I am not surprised when she catches every little beat. Moonbyul, I think she is a great dancer, she even choreograph the dances they do in performance sometimes does not fit her style so she feels uncomfortable tho.

I don't think its her age (She is just 30). If I'm not grong she had and injury in her back, maybe that is still having repercutions on her body. Besides, she does pole dancing. I tried once and I remember that your body have to be very stiff if you don't want to fell off. I supose she do it inconciently when she dances. (Sorry, I don't know speak english very well)
