You can use the Dualcaster Mage + Saw in half combo at instant speed before your turn, so they can attack once you untap killing everyone with infinite 1/1 Dualcaster mages. Great content as always.
Saw in half seems to be the best answer to a resolved gilded Drake from Opponents as you can take the stolen thing back as welk as an additional one while giving out only 2/2s.
A sweet soft lock could be eternal witness, saw in half, and silence. In each upkeep cast silence. Each end step, saw a witness in half, getting back saw in half and silence. It does require a sixteen mana investment per turn cycle, but it’s pretty easy in a T and T deck because of Thrasios ramping and seedborn muse
They usually don't like to print these interesting mechanics on an instant. For only 3 mana. If you run it in Chatterfang if you have your commander and cut in half one of those hermits you get 26 squirrels. That's enough for any memish wincon in the deck. But what's really cool is if you Saw in Half a Pitiless Plunderer thats a three mana doubling season effect at instant speed. Really valuable whenever a player watches you tutor with Chatterfang they will hold back the appropriate removal.
I do something similar with living death and phyrexian altar. While eternal witness, dualcaster mage, or any copy/return sorcery from graveyard triggers.
I don't think you'd need a bounce spell for the Dockside + Eternal Witness loop. Saw Witness in half, two triggers go onto the stack. Let one resolve, getting Saw in Half back from graveyard. With the second trigger still on the stack, saw Dockside generating at least 4 treasures each. Let the second eternal witness resolve, adding Saw in Half back again. You now have 8 treasures (two Saw in Half casts, first one is for Eternal Witness and the second is for Dockside) and can repeat the loop from here, generating infinite mana/storm count. I might be wrong, please correct me if I am. Fun card overall.
You saddly are. You need to announce both eternal whitness triggers at the same time. So you need to target first saw in half and then something different with the secind trigger. But now saw in half is alredy targeted. and when you return if with the first trigger the second will fizzel.
@@cedhtv Thank you for clarifying, I thought there was some flaw in my thinking. I forgot the Witness triggers had to actually target things in the graveyard before resolving.
@@cedhtv I’m still confused here. Imagine you have Eternal Witness in hand and saw in half in the graveyard (after copying dockside). Cast Ewit. ETB returns saw in half. Cast saw in half. Saw in half destroys Ewit, Ewit is now in the graveyard. Saw in half finished resolving making two copies of Ewit. The Saw in Half must finish resolving before the Ewit token copies have their ETB trigger go on the stack. Once Saw in Half finishes resolving, it goes to the graveyard. the 2 ETBs go on the stack and target Eternal Witness and Saw in Half. From there saw in half dockside and you’re back to square one. I believe this works the same with a reanimate or copy spell or something like that. You can reanimate Ewit, reanimate should be in the graveyard before Ewit trigger goes on the stack, then you can return reanimate to your hand
Dual caster and saw in half also win the game with a direct damage spell on the stack or something like a witherbloom/Ral/drainer or storm kiln as that makes infinite mana as well (either Jeska or Thrasios)
I mean this should have said either "destroy target nontoken creature" or "destroy target creature you don't control", like this it seems very strong and many different combos could be made! Anyway Unfinity looks like a very cool set!
Great video as always. I've playtested SIH a lot in my RogTev Turbo build and it's been pretty nice. Even just copying a Stitchers Supplier to mill even more cards for an Underworld Breach line was a solid play. ps. I took your advice and now use DaVinci Resolve to edit my videos. I was just wondering how you you make the cards move so freely in your videos. Do you know a good tutorial for that?

The sword of D&D won't be legal because the non acorn rule only applies to non silver boarder cards. If its got a silver boarder you can't play it in any format regardless of it hologram stamp.
So you would need a bounce or flicker spell you can return. I'd say bounce spells are better since they are more flexible but a flicker spell would have the bonus that you would only need to cast the spell and not recast the Dockside (less mana and avoiding counter spells on the dockside). But if your deck can't abuse the flicker outside of that combo it's mostly a dead card.
Hey there Mons, we worked out some SiH applications in the Korvold server throughout the last few months. SiH + Ewit + Dock go infinite on their own indeed, it kinda depends on where the 3 cards are at that point (hand, graveyard) The core loop is the following, and it needs Dockside to make 5 treasure, generating infinite bodies and treasure: 1. Cast Dockside 2. Saw Dockside 3. Cast EWit, get Saw back 4. Saw EWit, get EWit and Saw 5. Repeat from 2 to 4 (Sawing Dockside tokens) Also, on the cantrip example (which also works with tutors like Demonic or Tainted pact) you can draw you deck as you said and there are a couple of options to win with in instant speed right then and there. In Jund you can draw/tutor into Elvish Spirit Guide and Simian Spirit Guide and use their mana to cast Crop Rotation and get and crack Emergence Zone and just go with your win con from there (you can even play creatures, let a round of Dualcaster and SiH resolve since you have put infinite of them on them stack, and capitalize on your creatures as well - cast a Dockside, make infinite mana, cast grasp for oracle and win). Lastly, there is also the option in Jund to use the guides for Manamorohose, making Black Red to cast Dark Ritual (or Cabal Ritual) and reanimate a game ending creature from a yard with instant speed Necromancy (like Witherbloom Apprentice or an Oracle, making infinite copies of the Oracle for infinite devotion)
Playing Korvold, too and had similar ideas. One common problem I often run into describing your line is actually drawing emergence zone before I can crop tutor for it, e.g. with necropotence. Any idea how to solve that?
@@alexm777-X7 hey there, the answer is pretty simple most of the time. In case of Demonic Tutor you just tutor your whole deck except from lands for example. In case of a cantrip, most cantrips that see play have an extent of top deck manipulation. Ponder checks the top 3, so if you find Emergence Zone first, just keep it at bottom 3. With preordrain you always scry 1 cars at the bottom, one at the top (keep Emergence Zone as the one you scry on top, until you get crop rot and all the cards you need). The main problem as you said is when you use the combo on top of something that necessarily draws your deck in a particular order like Gitaxian Probe, Tainted Pact, or even your own Korvold. In that case indeed it is up to deck order if you get the green guide and crop rot before E-zone. That is why I would try to have a secondary instant speed plan. As I mentioned in the original comment, I would play Manamorphose so I can pivot to some instant speed line with DRitual/Cabal into Necropotence. You can reanimate Mayhem Devil if you do it with Korvold (and you still play Mayhem Devil), or reanimate Witherbloom Apprentice and continue the infinite copying to burn them all out with his triggers. The problem that now arises is getting them in the yard, entomb is one way to do it, but you run to the same thing with Ezone and crop rot. There are probably some instant speed ways to discard them (or you just have them already in the yard). The last way to do it, is by grabbing a Thoracle from the yard of course, so there are some more creative options (killing an outlet from your opponents with a kill spell, reanimating it, and using it yourself)
You didn't need snap, you could saw in half the ewit, get back ewit and saw from the etbs, saw the dockside, cast the ewit to return saw, repeat. Once the loop is started you only need 5 treasures from dockside cause you have 2 of them etbing to net 1 treasure per loop. It's interesting but not sure about the resiliency of the combo.
The tokens from saw in half stick around, unlike the tokens from heat shimmer, which is definitely one of the problems I've found playing heat shimmer in my deck. Also this lets you set up your win on your last opponent's end step, which gives you your own turn and mana back to force through the win, or recover from being stopped. This might make me want to try a Krark + dimir guy deck, where currently my main deck is krark + thrasios.
Lets say you have dualcaser on the battlefield already and you play sih would the two copies of dualcaster create a loop or do you have to play both at the same time
