Last year I made a similar video so if you're interested check out that one too!

5:00 NO, it’s because some cultures, INCLUDING middle easterners have ZERO respect for the land they are now FORTUNATE to call home. A land which found its basis from MANY others, the HARD WORK of GENERATIONS beforehand to provide both the political and social infrastructure to make these refugees comfortable. - This is NOTHING they have contributed to.
Yet, here and other places like Switzerland, for example, the culture has now been bleached out by ‘middle easterners’ and others ploughing their way in. There is a TOTAL disrespect for the culture. Yet, these same refugees would be offended if others came to their nation and did the same.
It’s sad dude…
You can’t make any coherent rhyme or reason to it other than ungratefulness.
One culture ultimately gets destroyed to preserve the other…
Please, I implore you to counter this argument.
Your point about immigration is invalid when you compare the Irish abroad to the illegal immigrants who arrive here undocumented, are accommodated by the state, have free accommodation, healthcare, education, food etc, and still aren't happy. The Irish abroad don't get benefits and work for everything they have.
Take that attitude abroad and see how you’ll be received you twat
Its so rural in most of the republic of Ireland but Dublin and Donegal and corkey are fun towns most countryside are Nice and farmland or Homestands ☘️💯🇺🇸🇮🇪
cool man im glad i found your channel!
One of your points is that trying to find housing in Ireland, especially, Dublin, is horrifying. Another one of your points is that the healthcare system can’t keep up demand, your following point is that Irish people saying the country is full are idiots because they disagree with you on twitter. I doubt that a person’s view on immigration has a statistical correlation with intelligence. The native Irish population hasn’t recovered since the potato famine and the struggle to preserve the language and culture that was nearly completely wiped out is still an epic struggle. Furthermore, that Irish people immigrated to countries with expansive natural resources capable of supporting large populations is not a valid or logical argument that the reverse should be true. The reciprocal principle is that the Irish who went to those places contributed to the economic and social milieu in a largely positive way. Few would argue that this isn’t the case. I am glad you seem to have found a happy and rewarding life in Ireland. My post is not an argument for or against either position on immigration. It is simply meant to provide additional perspective that may be pertinent to your video.
Rain brings life.
More like 300mil live aboard! - but I think the phrase "Get your house in order first before having people to stay" Sums up the concerns of the Irish people
I agree about buses they are always late very rarely on time
Thank you for the tour of the Galway City Centre! :)
I am not from there but interested to move in the city, so I searched on Google Maps places where you were going, nicely right through the heart of the old city centre.
I live in Galway and I appreciated your video, about the weather I just would say that it is the worst by far in Europe!
Yo im planning to move to Ireland next year. Can ya tell me which city is the safest?
I only lived in Galway so I have nothing to compare it to. Sorry.
@@Corrky oh its alright:)
@@rumeth2272 Galway and Cork have the lowest crime rates. Assuming you're not hanging around a takeaway at 1AM or in a really visibly disfunctional suburb I'd say it's quite difficult to get into trouble here.
I love the weathet.😂
If there's plenty of land available, why should housing be so scarce? Almost certainly because the government is penalizing individuals who might build housing or rent out property they already own. Scarcity of a necessary good *always* leads to an increase in price. And price controls in turn lead to market scarcity, which then drives up the prices on the black market.
This precisely. Very little comes out of this island, other than dodgy tax and inflated housing. Without it, there wouldn't be much for the greedy politicians to get their mitts on. The people also have a very weird outlook on land. Something to do with Bull McCabe and the blow-ins. Nothing is really for sale until you've parted with a kidney or two. :p
I agree with you
Your understanding of the immigration problem is limited.
Nice job Corrky. Dobro napravljeno.
Big fan of Ireland, Corrky and Ginger Lady here! Also, I´m looking for Irish Lads with whom to teach and learn SPANISH from SPAIN with the proper accent. Start up with me, an American from Florida, and I will give you my work, nearly 1000 hours, 10,000 in context word vocabulary list. We´ll get you and me up to C1 level in less than two years for you just starting, me, in four more months. I´m moving to Cork and Málaga in a few short years.
Great video. My husband is Irish and he has Ginger Lady´s opinion on Ireland. Everything is perfect. Cork is great. I prefer Spain. At 58, I´m too old to fight so, we can bet on the horses instead.
DO A BUS TOUR TO THE CLIFFS!! It´s FANTASTIC. Accept Irish customs, do come over and fly your own flag or bash the local religion and be welcome! Trust me. I understand.
I appreciate your take on Ireland and from what I know, (I live in the North,) your comments are pretty on point. For context I'd add that Health services in the UK are even more stressed (to being on the point of collapse here in NI) and coverage I've seen says there are big problems with healthcare in Germany and just about everywhere else post Pandemic.
We have our own massive set of problems in the North but thankfully the housing situation isn't one of them. The biggest share of the problem in Dublin I think may be that the economy has grown so rapidly in recent years and the Government was much more focused on that and paid scant attention to housing, possibly because nationally there had been loads of empty houses post 2008 and the collapse of the property sector.
I'm sorry to see a new right that is anti immigrant is emerging in Ireland. It's also true that as huge numbers come in from elsewhere, many of Ireland's most talented young are starting to leave again as they did in previous recessions, despite a booming economy, as they see no prospect of ever owning their own home if they remain.
After centuries of trying to sort the problems of poverty and underdevelopment, Ireland is now grappling with a whole other set largely to do with it's success over the last 3 decades!
Great comment! Thanks for sharing.
There's no such place as Northern Ireland. It's the North of Ireland 🇮🇪 the South West and East of Ireland. Most of the people in the 6 counties of occupied Ireland are irish people who think they belong to the UK are far less . So if your British and live in Ireland 🇮🇪 eire you must be on your hollidays
Damn that was like reading war and peace 😂
So...housing crysis off the charts with completely insane rent and selling prices, poor infrastructure, government officials who only care about mentally deranged minorities, buildings looks like utter shite in ALL cities, everything related to housings is stupid expensive, cars are ridiculously expensive, most of you live in the stone age cause you'ne never heard of mixer taps, centralized gas heating not to mention passive houses....and many many many more ...Yet your conceirn is regarding the irish people that don't want a ton of illegal immigrants cashing in on welfare and turning the country into a massive s**thole just like the UK? Brilliant, in that case go on 8th of March and vote yes like a good little no brained sheep, bring as many immigrants in your country (especially of a certain religion) and watch how in 10 years you'll see violent crime increasing by hundreds of %
A nearby rain gauge once recorded 17.5 metres of rain in a year. Galway just gets the occasional light mist by comparison. Sadly, every country is 'full' of the wrong people! Give Dublin enough time to grow and you will not have to move to be in Dublin. The roads have improved in the last 50 years. I remember roads that were merely a black paint stripe "suggestion" across the bog.
You are amazing Bro, smooth and succinct
Thank you!
Show me one country in this world that is perfect. Compared to what I see in America (and I am an American), Ireland is a paradise.
My home city. What do you think of Galway?
Absolutely love it. Been living here last 5 years and I think it’s great!
@@Corrky that’s great to hear. Summer is the best time of year in Galway.
Cool job, Boy !
I live in New Zealand and am thinking of moving to Ireland.
Same population but we have 40,000 homeless, so 4X more! The other problems (rents, health care, xenophobia etc) and good points you name (mostly friendly) are the same.
If you can contribute like Bundi Aki then by all means come on over.
@@DenisOhAichir im definitely not in his league (literally or figuratively) but I'm sure I have something to offer 😊
You'll fit straight in, the only negative thing I have to say about New Zealand is that it is a hell of a long way to travel to find exactly the same culture, fabulous countryside, friendly and charming people with a relaxed attitude to life and enjoy the occasional drink, magnificent country. There's a few less earthquakes and volcanoes here in Ireland, but I'm sure you can live with that, weathers a bit wetter, but climate is pretty much the same, most Kiwi's here hang around, so I think the risks are fairly low of you intensely disliking the place.
@@niallgorman4375 thanks for your encouragement. Certainly a long way to go, but its worth the craic!
Why do I see so many middle class and poor foreigners moving to and living in Ireland but I as an irish American have to save up a million dollars plus an emergency fund that has to be equivalent to an average price of a home in Ireland which is hundreds of thousands of euros. Who can honestly afford that who isn't rich?? The other way is to guarantee an income of 55 thousand euro for the rest of your time in Ireland but how are you supposed save up that much and get a job in Ireland guaranteeing that pay when you aren't a citizen yet??? I wish this were the old days. You could take a boat anywhere and start over.
You're better off not moving here, believe me.
@msmissy6888I am an Irish American. Deal with it.
Ireland has more than 3 million people living outside its borders, it has a diaspora of more than 70 million. There are a few inaccurate statements made on this video.

Of course Dublin is going to be city like. Chicago is okay but it has issues everywhere has them. You make your happiness.
Sounds like hawaii housing.
His Gealic is very good
I'm Irish and this is just from knowing some people's experiences with trying to get a bigger position for being a doctor is quite corrupt I know some one who tried to get a ranking for a bigger position but a lot of people knew the people ranking and got free points and she placed one of the lowest.then she went to England which is a lot harder with a lot more people and she placed top 3 and she has to work in England in a small apartment and goes back to Ireland for a couple of days.
go home if you don't like it. Or elsewhere. It''s so easy.
I lived 6 year there, I know what I mean.
Ok I’ll go tomorrow. You convinced me.
Yes ,go home.,why did you come here in the first place ? for the Euros like so many others .The Ukrainians are at war ,exceptional circumstances ,we are a compassionate people ,we try to help. ,We won't twist your arm ,go home if you are not happy. welcome to the real world. Valhalla does not exist.
Could be worse Could be shit ENGLAND OR BRITAIN WHERE WE ARE
Everything you described......Ireland is no diff than Toronto Canada
I hope to visit Canada and Toronto in next few years. Very much looking forward to it!
@konraddsouza-lw1lh Toronto is a city in Canada and Ireland is a country. You must compare Toronto to Dublin. Jobs are spread out in Canada so it is not a must to live in one particular city or region. In Ireland most jobs are in Dublin.
Dublin and Toronto are both expensive but the standard of living in Toronto is high and salaries are also high with countless of jobs. You can't say same about Dublin.
@@patricksweeney5308 facts
It very expensive in Ireland and the country is not developed compared to Western standards. Most Eastern EU countries are even far better than Ireland.
Salaries in Ireland are low while everything is expensive and having a car is essential. Transportation is a very big problem here and 80% of the country's jobs are in Dublin so woe to you if you have to commute to Dublin. It almost impossible to find apartment in Dublin. 1 bedroom apartment cost €1500+.
The country is not developed compared to Western standards? Salaries are low? What the hell are you talking about?
Ireland has 3rd biggest minimum wage in whole EU. And go and visit any of at least 50% of other EU countries and you will see what undeveloped is. Come on, be serious at least a little bit. You need few months in any eastern European country to get some perspective.
If Ireland is not one of western developed countries nothing is.
@@Corrky 🤣🤣🤣 Ireland is developed in what?. I also live in Ireland and I have lived in a few countries and I can tell you can't compare Ireland to all western EU nor USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand nor even some Eastern EU countries.
Minimum wage in Ireland does not reflect on the expenses and standard of living. It is very expensive here and there is a problem with housing, bad transportation, hard to find jobs and the towns/cities are very rural type.
If you make €1650 and you are paying 1 bedroom in near by towns in dublin or village for €1000, addup bills and feeding plus car is essential so (car insurance and fuel).
Someone is living in poland with €1500 salary and rent for €400. Car is not essential and expenses are 50% cheaper and it has higher standard of living than Ireland.
@AddySweet whats the median incime in ireland vs. poland?
Ireland ... Part of the normal world? NO
Try living in Croatia and then say this :)
@@Corrky I'm here from Africa, Irish ancestors. The culture shock gets harder and harder with each year that passes. I'm now convinced I won't ever have a house here, even though I have a good job and pay more than my fair share in taxes...

Never been to Germany so, no.
Thank you so much for the informative video, I can't wait to experience all the good and bad myself! :) Just a note: most of the Hungarian people living in Ireland also tell you to go to Austria instead, Ireland is full :D Knowing the Hungarian healthcare, I don't think the Irish can be crappier.
I'm glad I could provide some perspective.

Those room temperature IQ people you are referring to are literally half of the population here in thr United States. I trust it's not that bad in Ireland.
How dare you say half of the population of United States is dumb. I think it’s higher. Of course, I am from Boston and we arrogant Massholes think we’re smarter than everyone else in the country.😊
I believe Crocky...because he's a Croatian delinguent! 🤠
nobody should be homeless in Ireland, because of the damp, also inadequately built housing is a big problem the materials cause damp, or the houses are built by builders not designed with adequate materials or ventilation, but because housing is so scarce people live with black mould and pay extortionate prices for that, also storage heaters are expensive and inefficient. The heavy drinking culture, the laddish 'lads' banter is disrespectful and annoying because its drunk and largely abusive. Personally I welcome people from other countries to live here, it is a welcome relief from the 'drunk lads/laddies and their craic banter, which is usually unkind or lots of cursing, vulgar (ie an obsession with genitalia)

I am a British citizen of Asian ethnicity, and considering to move to Ireland, and live / work there for 5 years until I obtain an Irish passport. With the Irish passport I can live in my favourite city, Lisbon. I work as an immigration lawyer in London, and was wondering whether I could work for some charities there as an immigration advisor (of course after I have undertaken some relevant training) :)
I really couldn’t tell you. I don’t know anyone from that “world”. Sorry…
@ealing26 It's best you try to move direct to Portugal than come to Ireland and wait for all this years just because of citizenship. This the mistake alot of foreigners do abroad. You should know by the time you have wasted all your years here, things might not be same in Lisbon.
@@AddySweet You are right, Addy. Thank you so much for your valuable advise.
Helping the invaders do genocide against the Irish people.
@@user-pz4xm3qg2q There are millions of Irish people living abroad. Even now most of them are moving abroad. If the other countries also have your mentality what will happen to the millions of Irish migrants abroad or Irish who wish to move abroad?.
I love your attitude and the fact that you can express your strong beliefs... As for the anti-immigration movement, I think they don't really understand that there won't be anyone to serve THEIR beer, work in their supermarkets, and most importantly imagine their healthcare as well as senior care if expats were to leave Ireland... And by the way there is a lot of people not comfortable with the Ukrainians also, but they rather try to "punish" everyone else for the situation... Just a small question, which camera are you using??
Thats was a great comment. Thanks!
I’m using Canon EOS RP.

Don't appreciate the lecture on illegal immigration.
We have no idea who these people are or why they are here

The wait times for medical stuff in the U.S can be just as long if not longer. Depending on what insurance you have oh and you will be 10 years in debt after.
I like your opening statement, that Ireland is Chit! to live in. I only wish your English was just as good as your opinion. Sounds like you are smoking Cannabis? I like your honesty and I agree with your observations and your experience of that Chit-Whole! Most of that population are hostages and prisoners and are struggling to escape. Only the tourists, the crooked politicians, and other showers can afford to go and live there.
5:50 I just shouted at my screen. I mean for how long have you been living in Ireland to say their whole economy relies on immigrants. And of course, you carry on to say the Irish who want an end to immigration are just wacists. When the Irish immigrate to other countries, they dont do it to get benefits, they do it for work. What an ignorant thing to come out with
The Irish have been welcoming in people from "the middle east" for over 20 years and its only recently that the irish have started to complain because something that was never a thing 30 years ago is now a thing, Homeless Irish people. But i guess its just a load of Horsepat.
Just go on rightmove and look at the house prices and tell me Ireland isnt full.
I also said everyone is entitled to opinion. That includes me. You are more than welcome to make your own videos with your opinions. These are mine.
@@Corrky Its a dung opinion.

Just to clarify, the 10 thousand homeless you mention are not homeless as in sleeping on the streets, they live in emergency accommodation, ie. hotels.
Most live on the street, and in parks, many are irish families with young children
@colettedunne3793 that's untrue, families are placed in emergency accomodation. None are on the streets. And for the record.there are more homeless hostel places than there are rough sleepers, but rough sleepers typically choose not to use them.
